West Midlands Safari Park

Advantages: Fun day out, Lots to see
Disadvantages: Not everythings included in the entrance price

...West Midlands Safari Park A large safari park between Kidderminster and Bewdly. It's easy to get to from main motorways. It is also signed from most main roads which are easy to follow and take you straight to where you want to be. You can choose to either drive around the safari park first or go into the main area which has a petting zoo, displays, shops and much more. Once you get there, there is plentiful parking for both cars and coaches, it's free to park and disabled parking is available nearer to the entrance. As you enter there is a row of shops in a covered area with a gift shop that you can visit either then or on your way out, there is a shop to purchase foods such as ice cream and fudge and various drinks, which can be enjoyed on your way around the attraction. There are displays going on all day including sea...

THE WILD WILD WEST Midlands.......

Advantages: Price of entrance, the driver can also see the animals, lots of different attractions
Disadvantages: Disabled Parking, price of food

...The exciting park is set in the heart of the west midlands and is expanded over 200 acres which includes a four mile drive through Safari. If this doesn’t tickle your fancy as you don’t want Rhinos charging at your new car, don’t threat there is also a very impressive theme park which includes some very scary rides (which are animal free!) ☺☺Travelling and Parking☺☺ The park itself is very well signposted from the M6 and takes you through Kidderminster. Depending on what time you leave in the morning your drive will either be clear or you may have to be prepared to wait, especially on a Saturday as many people will be travelling in the same direction as you to get to the park. We arrived at around 11 am and were greeted with a massive sign with the name of the park splayed across it...

Go wild in the west midlands

Advantages: Fantastic day out for all the family
Disadvantages: Maybe prices but it is no more expensive than other days out

...~West midlands safari park~ I have visited the safari park quite a few times. It is a fun day out and you won?t get bored as there is loads to see and do. Don?t be put off if you have a nice car because there are not monkeys or animals that will destroy your window wipes or aerials. I would also recommend that you take a snack in the car for the drive around the park as sometimes it can take up to 2 hrs depending on how busy it is. I live in Leicestershire so it is a bit of a drive to get there but well worth a visit especially if you have children. West midlands safari park is located in Bewdley there are directions on the website and GPS co-ordinates. West Midlands Safari Park - Fantastic day out!!

Advantages: A Fantastic day out for all the family
Disadvantages: Can make quite an expensive day

...I am lucky enough to live only a couple of miles away from the West Midlands Safari Park which is situated between Kidderminster and Bewdley (post code DY12 1LF for those with sat navs). I never get bored with visiting the park. They have a wide range of animals which you drive around in your car to visit i.e Llamas, camels, elephants, lions, tigers, giraffes, wild dogs, hippos and the other usual suspects. After a drive round the animals you can stop off for a picnic or visit the cafe for a well earned tea break (i would recommend bringing your own food and having a picnic as to buy food here certainly isn't cheap. The park is also home to an amusement arcade and fairground as well as the standard gift and sweet shop. Food is available to buy from the kiosk as you enter the park to feed the animals (though beware as a Llama once...

PRIDE OF THE MIDLANDS!

Advantages: Get to see animals close up. Don't have to walk!
Disadvantages: Costly day out. If it's a hot day can be too hot in the car.

...the perfect venue for banquets, parties and wedding receptions, call 01299 402574 for more info. VISIT WWW.WMSP.CO.UK, this is a really useful website and will give you any information I may have missed. Hope you enjoy your visit to West Midlands Safari Park, let me know how you get on! 97.2 Beacon Fm : West Midlands.

Advantages: Latest music around the clock, with brillant DJ's.
Disadvantages: The annoying advertising, that get repeated to often.

...For just over 5 years, 97.2 Beacon Fm for the West Midlands, has been my favourite radio station. It is one of the best stations I had ever listened too. Beacon Fm is very handy as they have all the local news and weather reports, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Plus, they tell you the amount of parking spaces at the most popular shopping centres such as Merry Hill near Dudley and Wolverhampton. During the week between around 7am and 5pm they also have local road reports with 'Porky.' 'Porky' travels throughout the Black Country on his Chapel Ash Harley and reports any delays on both major roads including the motorway's and side roads, which is ideal if you are out and about travelling the West Midlands. Plus, if he does come across any accidents, he finds out when roughly the roads will be back to normal. During...

I wanna safari ride

Advantages: Superb rides and safari to enjoy
Disadvantages: Wish the monkey enclosure was back

...The West Midlands Safari park opened in 1973. The park has got a 4 mile safari and this contains over 600 animals from around 30 different species from Europe, Africa, Asia and others. They have a theme park as well which is next to the safari park as well. They have a reptile and insect house as well which IS easy for people to view and a sea lion area. Some of the animals in the safari are on the endangered list such as the jumping rat. This park contains 15 white lions which is the largest amount in the entire United Kingdom. My Experience -------------------- I have been to this safari park many times purely because my uncle works there and still does. The place is easy to find and well directed. As you drive up this road to get into the park you notice you seem to go for one long distance and not see anything at all...

Review of West Midlands Safari Park

I grew up within a lion's roar distance of this safari park!

Advantages: There is loads to see and do
Disadvantages: The armband pricing policy is a mistake in my opinon

.... West Midland Safari Park is situated between Kidderminster and Bewdley - the well know Severn Valley Railway traverses the park. It consists of two parts - the safari park and the amusement fair. Up to date entrance fees can be found here http://www.wmsp.co.uk but when I went recently it was £8.99 for adults and £7.99 for children over 3. There was a pound off per person if you could track down a leaflet, which I had, and entrance has included a free return trip for as long as I can remember. The entrance to the safari park is excellent value - but doesn't include entrance to the amusement park, more of which later - back in the day it was all inclusive but you have had to buy an armband if you wish to go on the rides for a while. It is worthwhile arriving early to the park if you can, if you get there 10 minutes or so before opening...

Review of West Midlands Safari Park

Diamond review  Amazing, fun day out for the whole family

Advantages: Loads to do, great value, lots of different animals
Disadvantages: The weather!!

...We were trying to think of ways to entertain the kids in the Easter Holidays and came up with the idea of visiting the Safari Park. I hadn't been to one since I was a kid and could remember loving it, with the monkeys climbing all over the car and trying to pull the wipers off!! So I had a look on the internet for our closest one, and found West Midlands Safari Park. The biggest plus points of this safari park for me were one, no monkeys to wreck our car! Two, they took Tesco Clubcard Deal vouchers as payment for the entrance fee. I always exchange my vouchers as it saves me a fortune if we fancy a day out, and you get 4 x the value of your points back in deals vouchers. Worth doing if you dont already and fancy a visit to this safari park. Anyway, more about our visit... I found out by looking on the safari parks website...

East Midlands Airport

Advantages: Easily accessed, not too busy
Disadvantages: Not a huge range of destinations

...East Midlands Airport is a regional airport located in Castle Donington in Derbyshire. There are flights available to many European destinations, as well as Egypt, USA (Florida) and the Caribbean with charter airlines. I have flown from this airport many times and it is my favourite airport mainly due to it's location, ease of access and relaxed atmosphere. It is easily accessed by car from the M1 (Junction 23 and 23A) or the A50 which is the road I use when travelling from Staffordshire. I live around 50 miles from the airport but the A50 is a relatively quiet road so it's a nice 40 minute drive and I can start my holiday. I find it's easiest to travel to by car but there are local rail links and the airport can be reached from Loughborough, Derby and Nottingham railway stations, depending on where in the country you are...
