...I have been fascinated by the life of Anne Frank since I was young and I read her diary. My Mum had been interested too and it was her copy of the book that I read. As an adult, my interest has extended and I have not only read many books on the Frank family but also biographies and autobiographies of other victims of concentration camps and survivors. So when I saw this DVD on Ebay for £12.99, I found it easy to click on ?Buy it now?. (I usually do!) Having watched it in its entirety, I thought it was worth a review. Anne?s story is one that everyone should be aware of and this DVD provides a slightly different angle to the books or the films. Dear Kitty contains two documentaries ? Remembering Anne Frank (51 minutes, 1999) and The Short Life Of Anne Frank (28 minutes, 2002). There are no extras on the DVD, only scene access, so...

Advantages: Great sounding, amazing lyrics
Disadvantages: Disadvantages?!

But the music sounds feel-good - fresh, sharp guitar strumming that makes you want to tap your feet and sing and chant along. Tracks like "Vital Signs", "Fathers Day" and "Ladies of London Town" support this idea, while there are times when he slows things down to make you take heed of his his message. The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank

Advantages: Excellent read, gripping story.
Disadvantages: None that I found

...he confessed to Anne that when they got out he would reinvent himself. The story "The Boy who loved Anne Frank" is a fictional story, the author was inspired to write in after visiting Anne Franks house in Amsterdam where a tour guide told her that they had no account of what happened to Peter Van Daan, this led her to think what might have happened to Peter after the camps were liberated. And so the story was born. Some of the events in the book are based on true events, the play that was produced following the publication of the diary and the legal disputes that followed. The story of Peter however is completely fictional. However the book is so well written you could easily believe that it was a true story of what happened to Peter. The author has done a lot of research which adds to the plot and the general presentation...

...I am sure we have all heard of Anne Frank the brave thirteen year old who wrote her harrowing account as she hid with her parents and sister and four other people. They were hiding in a sealed off back of rooms of an Amsterdam office building in 1942, when the Nazi invaders intensified their persecution of Jews. For two year they were safe, however in 1944 they were betrayed. Anne died in the concentration camp at Belsen. Everyone else died except her father. ...Everyone knows the story of Anne Frank. 13 at the time Anne frank her sister margot and both parents were a jewish family living in a breaking down germany, they had to go into hiding on the hidden third floor of her fathers work building with another family they knew in Amsterdam. Her journey started in 1942 and sadly ended in 1944. Me being a teenager myself i didn't realise how similar her experiences were to mine myself. I found myself so ingrossed as you read about her family fueds, love interests, and what she notices about her self as she gets older. She writes in either small or big paragraphs stating at the beginning the date and 'To Kitty' (her diarys nickname, the only person she can confide in).
