...I am writing this complaint as a last resort after many hours and money spent trying to resolve this situation. We installed Whirlpool appliance model # RBD275PDS14 (double wall oven) with serial number XR4311868 3 years ago. The following is a chronological list by date of what had transpired regarding our earnest attempts to have our oven repaired. Saturday June 2, 2007: Upper oven was in use at a temperature of 250 degrees. The upper oven outer glass shattered. Friday, June 9, 2007: Called Whirlpool Customer Service @ 1-800-253-1301, and was told that I needed replacement part # 9759072. Part was ordered with order number 1-285635706 at a cost of $105.82. ...I actually recieved my Whirlpool Gas Range as an early Christmas gift last year. My soon to be father in law and I had went and looked at Gas Ranges the previous day (Keeping in mind...I didn't know he was going to buy one for me...and of coarse I pointed out almost the most expensive one they had!). Well he must not have minded because I woke up the next morning and the guys were taking it out of their truck and into my home! I have wanted a brand new Whirpool with the push buttons (instead of the old dials) for about two years now! I finally have one. ...A while ago, we purchased a new washing machine and dishwasher made by Whirlpool. We decided to take out a 10-year parts guarantee with them and when we purchased them from Comet we took out a 5-year labour guarantee. We have had a number of fairly minor faults over time where we have had to have engineers out to fix the fault and had never had a problem until the last time. Lets give you a bit of history first that will explain why I am so frustrated, A short while ago we had a burst water pipe in our kitchen, when the plumber was moving the washing machine to get to the pipe, he ripped the lino, he explained that as the lino was wet it ripped easily, but not to worry as the household insurance would cover it. On this occasion as there was water everywhere I had no problems calling my household insurers and they had no problems... Read review

The main reason for choosing whirlpool again was the fact that we have found it to be a reliable brand in the past. we decided to settle for the AWM5125/4which offered the range of programmes to suit us. ...An under counter Fridge from Whirlpool, with a good amount of space (143 litres net) for its overall size. Some of the techincal spec: Weight: 35 kgs. Energy Consumption kwh / year is 117 It is Energy Savings Trust recommended It is HFC/CFC Free Energy Efficiency Rating is classified as A+ height x width x depth (mm) 850x600x620 It has 3 glass shelves and 2 separate crisper draws, door shelves and also a diary compartment. General comments. I'm a fan of Whirlpool products and this is no exception. We paid £156-00 (excluding delivery) from Sainsbury's. It arrived well packaged, and after letting it settle after transport and turing it on, it was quickly at a nice cool temperature. ...Whirlpool AWZ 3513 - Excellent dryer at a good price. (£170) Lets start with the technical stuff: Load capacity: 6kg Freestanding & vented Energy Efficiency: C Electronic sensor for controlled drying Front Loading Anti-crease function 60cm width (Standard Appliance Size) Ok I have had this tumble dryer for a while now and can honestly say that it has been one of the best buys I have made. The dryer is the vented type which means that you will have to have access to an externall wall to fit the outflow pipe to. The pipe and fittings are supplied in the box for fittment to the tuble dryer end but you will have to arrange your own external wall cover as these are not supplied. In our case this was not a problem as it was a direct replacement for a differnt dryer and as all fittings are of a standard size it was simply a case... Read review

...Well Christmas Eve saw us left without a washing machine as ours decided that it wanted to pack up. This was a pain, as we wanted to get our last bit of washing done and out the way for the next day. Well we had to wait to get Christmas day out of the way and decided to wait till the sales got in full swing. Anyway it is now New Years Eve and there were plenty of places for us to look at now. Firstly we looked online to see what machines were on offer in the various stores, we looked at the usual, Dixons, Argos, Curry?s and Comet etc. Then we saw an ad on tv and went to the Miller Bros website to look the offer over. Our previous washing machine was also a Whirlpool and it lasted for about six years so we got a fair bit of use out of it. Rather than get it fixed and incur labour charges that can make up most of the bills we saw... Read review

...I had purchased a whirlpool refrigerator (Product: REF / FF Model No: FF 350 Elite Serial No: RM134AVB378744) on 14th November, 2003. from Spectravision, Ashok nagar, Bhubaneswar. My house is just across the road. So I thought, I will get good after-sales service. But it was otherwise. After just six months the refrigerator started showing defects. Some times it did not cool for a few hours. So when I gave complain at the dealer, from whom I purchased it, 'Spectravision', they took one or two days to send some mechanic. By then the problem would have automatically set right, or else the mechanic would do some thing by which it became OK for some days. But it re-occurred time and again. Many times my entire food stock got spoiled just for this. When I threatened to go to consumer court in October 2005, they gave me the mobile number... Read review

Advantages: Big, holds lots, filtered water, ice dispenser.
Disadvantages: Needs filters yearly, needs water connected to it, need insurance.

...filter I change about once a year and costs £28 delivered but I had to hunt for this price as whirlpool charge about £40. Problems. I took out insurance with this when I bought it for 5 years for about £150( actually got this free when did a bit or bargaining in the shop). Best thing I did as I have had the engineer out 3 times over 3 years and lost all the food in the fridge freezer in one instance. The callouts were free with the insurance and they altered the circulation in the frisge and changed the control panel. The insurance paid for all the food. Reccommended if you buy these big american freezers take out insurance. Only other problem is the size. Delivery got it through my front door but could not get it through the kitchen door as a worktop in the way. Had to pay someone £50 to take the doors off to get it in the right place... Read review

Advantages: Queit, very good spin, good wash and overall excellent value!

...A+ Energy efficiency, and while its only got a B rating on Spin, I do think it gives much better performance on that. Washing efficiency is given as A and I would agree with that one. Load weight is 5kg which is fairly standard for machines in this range. I had a Servis machine, and nothing but trouble from the moment we bought it. I have eventually relented and bought this Whirlpool as a direct replacement, costing £185-00 on offer from Co-op direct. I've immediately taken out the *8* year (yes, eight year) warranty for parts for just £25-00! Okay you still would have to pay for labour, but its pretty impressive to find a budget machine with such good warranty on its parts. It has done all we've asked of it so far - and is particularly quiet in operation, especially after the Servis machine I had. It has an anti-crease spin... Read review
