White Hart Hotel in Lincoln

Advantages: Close to Historical Landmarks, Friendly Staff, Good Rooms, Stylish
Disadvantages: Expensive Breakfast, Some parts need Refurbishment

...I am writing his review from my White Hart hotel room and in my opinion this is quite an above average hotel. I arrived here with my family (Mum and Dad) yesterday. It was pretty easy to find and get here from Leeds where we spent the day out, just off the A15, but in the next 2 hours when we check out we will be taking the A46 to return home (Reading). The hotel provides their own parking just round the side of the hotel, with a small bay which cars strictly shouldn't stay in at all, but seems to be used by taxis to drop people off. Upon arrival we were greeted by very pleasant reception staff who knew a lot about the local area. Asking about local restaurants they informed us about the various Italian, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, English Pubs and all about the restaurant they have which was very helpful. Advantages: Great food and lovely place

...The White Hart, Lydgate, Manchester Going back many many moons (well okay approximately 10 years) the White Hart Inn in Lydgate was your bog standard, not very nice run of the mill typical English pub. It was then purchased by two nice gentlemen; one an extraordinarily talented chef and the other a wonderful business man and hey presto 10 years later you have one of the most thriving 'gastro pubs' in the country that people travel for miles around to come and eat at and has won award upon award. ...Despite living in Lincoln, I have only the one experience of the White Hart. My cricket club had it's annual presentation dinner there last year. Location Set in the beautiful, historic uphill Bailgate area in the city centre, The White Hart is in the shadow of the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral. This means it is in the upmarket area of the city, meaning that the prices are higher than if it were elsewhere in the city. Prices It has to be said that the prices are high. We paid £27 for the ticket and this included a 3 course meal and nothing else. At the bar before I bought a round of drinks (two pints of lager and a large glass of white) and it came to a shade over £10. This, to me is quite expensive. The most attractive hotel in Kingston

Advantages: nice rooms, great bar and restaurant

...The white hart hotel is situated opposite Kingston bridge on the Hampton wick side of the river. The hotel opened in 2001 and is said to be 'the most attractive hotel in the Kinston area,' although it was only rated three stars by the English regional tourist board. From what I made of the hotel when I stayed there I would rate it at four stars. The rooms are furnished in an old style but to a high standard, there is a lovely secluded courtyard area at the rear of the hotel and there is free parking for guests. The car park is also situated at the rear of the hotel and is barrier operated, so you're car is relatively safe. ...This hotel is in an excellent location which is why they can charge the prices they do. The hotel is steeped in history and you can tell just by looking at the building of it's age and the stories it could tell if it could. Lincoln is a great place to visit and it's main tourist area is the Steep Hill area of the city. It is called Steep Hill for a reason- it is very steep! There are lots of little tea rooms, gift shops and an award winning restaurant or two in this location. Right in the heart of this is the cathedral and the castle and a stone's throw from them? ...Mrs B and I met in Lincoln many moons ago when we were just 18 and so it holds many happy memories and we decided to celebrate one of our anniversaries by returning to Lincoln and treating ourselves by staying in the infamous White Hart Hotel. All the time that we used to live in Lincoln this hotel was well known for it's so-called excellence and you had to be 'somebody' to be able to afford to stay there so when it came to our anniversary we thought we would really splash out and have a luxurious weekend in this hotel. Whites Hotel Wexford

Advantages: location
Disadvantages: price

...A good hotel based in the centre of wexford. It is close to the sea front about 5 mins walk, close to the theatre and it has nights of entertainment at the hotel too. The rooms are of a standard and it was clean when i visited it there, the hotel is close to public transport in the town. The hotel has a good bar and restaurant, although the menus may not be to everyones taste but there are plenty of restaurants in the town that provide choice. The rooms are ensuite and the hotel can be classed as family friendly but i did not see any families there at the time. the hotel has a cyrotheraphy centre where you can freeze in an ice chamber - supposed to help recover from injuries etc. The welsh rugby team have used the chambers as part of the recent pre season training.
