...Although I am a man and obviously don't wear White Linen perfume myself (!) this is a perfume that has been a firm favourite amongst the women in my family for many, many years and is always a perfect Christmas or Birthday gift! It is one of the classic Estee Lauder fragrances and has a light and fresh fragrance that is perfect for summer and reminds me of fruit. It has an almost sweet smell that has a strong presence but is by no means overpowering but has good staying power. The cost is approx. £30 for a 75ml bottle for an eau de toilette spray. Estee Lauder have also launched a perfume stick that is about the size of a lip stick and you dab this on your wrists and neck etc and is very useful for handbags for nights out etc! ...I know White Linen is one of the most popular of Estee Lauder's range of perfumes, but I am writing this as a warning to others. You may find it doesn't have quite the same effect on you as it does on your friends. A friend of mine always used this product and as the fragrance was pleasant on her I decided to give it a try. Luckily I tried hers before buying as the effect was lethal....unfortunately rather than smelling exclusive and alluring I hummed like a mangy cat. To add to my problems it was longlasting and I was stuck with the odour all day!!!! I'm sure I don't have to tell other perfume wearers that perfumes change on your skin but this particular one really did smell vile on me. There must be some chemical in my skin that reacted to it. ...The White Company is a supplier of gifts & accessories and home essentials and is available by catalogue, on line or at one of their 6 stores. I am going to concentrate on the catalogue, once applied you get sent regular ones through the post (usually seasonal) as well as special offers from time to time. The range is superb and is very high quality, receiving a gift from here would really be appreciated. They concentrate on a ‘white’ theme for most items but do include some others colours, although very tonal & blending in with their theme. ...I have been using white linen for many many years now, and a few years ago my daughter stole some off me when her perfume ran out. And since that day she has never turned back. I just love the clean fresh scent that lingers all day without being heavy at all. ...I\'m one of those people that plays with testers, asks people what scent they are wearing and...when visiting other peoples lavatories, I can\'t help but give that tempting little potions bottle a little squirt to sample the delights (and sometimes not so delightful aromas) that it has to offer. In the past Avon has drawn me in, only for me to find that the products (mainly cosmetics) are as cheap in quality as they are in price. So I was more than pleasantly suprised when I sprayed Avon Naturals Soothing Lavender and Chamomile. The smell is light and refreshing, a subtle flowery scent that ligers but not in a bad way! Beautiful fragrance to spray onto linen whilst ironing, into drawers or wardrobes or just to freshen up the room. ...I don't really like using air fresheners in my house as I don't really like the chemicals in the air around Harry, I just prefer to open a window to let the fresh air in!
