...Wow what a great product.It's so quiet, easy to use, and can be put on a timer! I never thought I would say this about a White Knight as when I've seen them they look cheap and low rent, and look like they wont last for 5 minutes . But wow, appearences can be deceptive.We bought ours a 3 years ago and have not had any problems since. ...and when the unit has cooled down close to room temperature, you can remove the inner crock and soak it in some warm soapy water. Anything sticking to the inner crock can be easily removed. The manual also say that the inner crock and the glass lid are dish-washer safe. I am not so sure about the inner crock but you can try and see. I hand-washed mine. It was all good until yesterday when I lifted the inner crock for washing and discovered that there was a small puddle of dark brown liquid at the bottom of the base. Also, some dark brown stains on the aluminium and on the outer surface of the inner crock. Since the inner crock is white, I saw some 'fine' cracks on it and some of them with tiny dark brown dropplets associated with them. The inner crock was leaking slowly.
