Who Wants to be a Millionaire
Advantages: VERY similar to TV show
Disadvantages: repetative
...Review on WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE PC game
BACKGROUND
'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' , is a game show, created by Celador, originally for the UK. Since its launch in the UK , and presentation by Chris Tarrant, the show has expanded massively - now broadcasting in over 13 countries, including Australia, USA, Japan, and Italy.
RULES
In Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, the aim of the game is to give 15 correct answers, to 15 multiple choice questions, for the chance to win a massive, £1'000'000 ! . If you get stuck, there are three lifelines to help you out, 50/50, Phone A Friend, and 'Ask The Audience.
When a contestant reaches question 5(£1000) and 10(£32'000) respectively, they reach what are known as milestones. These mean that even if a contestant gets a question wrong later on, they will be...

Who Wants to be a Millionaire
Advantages: Good at first.
Disadvantages: Boring now, got fed up of it
...In case you don’t own a television (wonder if there’s anyone who doesn’t) or have never seen Who Wants to be a Millionaire I will briefly explain the concept of the programme. The game starts with “fastest finger first” where 10 contestants have to put something in order and whoever gets them right in the fastest time goes up to play Who Wants to be a millionaire. When the person who has went up loses or decides to stop playing the game starts again with “fastest finger first.”
All of the questions are multiple choice and there are 4 answers. The contestants have three lifelines, ask the audience where the audience can vote on what they think the answer is. Phone-a-friend and 50-50 where two wrong answers are removed.
When Who Wants to be a Millionaire was first launched I was a big fan...

Who Wants to be a Millionaire (PC)
Advantages: Similiar to TV Game
Disadvantages: phone a friend irritating
...In case you don;t know what Who Want's to be a Millionaire is, it is a quiz programme on ITV hosted by Chris Tarrant. It is set in a studio on a 1 to 1 basis and the object of the game is to answer questions correclty and as you do you climb a money ladder starting from £100 and ending on a £1,000,000. When asked a question you are given four possible answers to choose from. During the course of the game you have three lifelines you can use in case you get stuck along the way. One is ask the audience, during this the audience vote on which answer they think is correct, 50-50 when the possible answers are halved to two instead of four, and the last is phone a friende, this is when you can call somebody you think would be an expect on the particular question.
When I saw this priced at £4.99 I had to buy it, finding the TV...

who wants to be a virtual millionaire
Advantages: graphics great sounds
Disadvantages: no Chris Tarrant
...Who wants to be a millionaire?
Well I did and all from the comfort of my own home and I wasn?t nervous at all :)
The graphics on this game are really good; every thing looks so real.
They have most definitely recreated the atmosphere of the TV show. The set is the same, they play the same sort of music as the show, and best of all they have used Chris Tarrants voice.
When you reach each milestone, which are 1000 pounds, and 32,000 you are shown a virtual cheque with that amount on it.
All the questions are actually written by the question masters of the real show, which I think is pretty good.
There are 1000 different questions. I have played it many times and i have never come across the same question twice so its not easy.
You can choose to either play the game alone or compete against friends (up to 4...

Who wants to be a millionaire. I do.
Advantages: Very accurate to the show
Disadvantages: Lacks extra questions
...Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? I certainly do, and so can you when you play WWTBAM. The quiz show has STORMED over the world and has become one of (if not, the) most successful quiz show in the world. I remember saying to myself when it first came out, "this would make a great PC game", and it certainly does.
The minimum requirements are as follows according to the manual:
Windows 95/98
Pentium 266
16 Mb RAM
2MB video card (DX7 compliant)
70MB Hard disk space
DX7 compliant sound card.
I have a Pentium 166 and still managed to run this fine - also obtaining DX7 if you don't have it is easy. Just search for it, they're not hard to find.
I originally bought the American version when it first came out, and I was impressed, but the game only had 300 questions - so the questions kept repeating and it just wasn't fun...

Who wants to pretend to be a millionaire
Advantages: very playable, enjoyable especially in large groups
Disadvantages: not as good after you have won, not enough questions
...We got this game as a late Christmas present and spent all of the New Year in front of the computer addicted. By New Years Eve we had a million pound, yes! Well we can dream. The next day we won again, this time looking at the screen long enough to realize we could register on the official who Wants to Be a Millionaire website as a millionaire. It gives you an official password and then ranks you amongst other pretend millionaires depending on the speed questions were answered and how many lifelines we had left. There were already 8000 people who had registered. Just imagine if this country had that many millionaires in such a short space of time what a better place it would be.
The novelty definitely wears off after you have won which is probably a good thing as a day after day in front of a computer game cannot be good for you...

Who Wants To Be Chris Tarrant
Advantages: good fun, enjoyable, interesting, good family game
Disadvantages: rules seem complicated at first, easier for adults to win if they are playing against the kids
...We wanted to buy a family game for Christmas, but found it was almost impossible to a) get anything decent for under £25 and b) find a game that we could all play from the age of 4 to adult. So we ended up spending £25, taking the majority vote and buying the Junior version of the 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire ?' board game.
This is suitable for children aged 8 to 12, but we thought that was better than buying the version for the over-12s and isolating the kids completely !
The game looks quite sturdy and is nicely arranged in the box, with good quality 'money' to give out to those that reach the required levels. The rules were rather complicated and it took a while to get the hang of it, but it seemed simple enough as we began to play.
We had four players and each took it in turn to play the role of Chris Tarrant...

Who Wants to be a Millionaire!?
Advantages: Great film, great plot!
Disadvantages: Prehaps not for everyone!
...cast is of course, Dev Patel, who played Anwar in Skins.
The Plot
The film follows Jamal Malik as he battles his way through the Indian version of the famous ?Who Wants to be a Millionaire?. It opens with Jamal being interrogated by police over alleged cheating on the programme, after he has managed to make his way through to the penultimate question, and so far scooped up Rs 10,000,000 ? half of the total prize money. With one question to go, they are wandering how an uneducated boy from the slums could possibly know the answers.
The police have the video of last nights show, and want to know how he knew the answers, expecting him to slip up, give in and reveal that he has been cheating, and so the film progresses, with Jamal explaining how each question?s answer was taught to him through his experiences in life.
My Opinion...

Who doesnt want to be a millionaire
Advantages: win money
Disadvantages: CT
...I don't think that there is anyone who has a TV who has, at some point in the last few years, not watched this show. To be fair if you haven't you either never watch game shows or have been hiding under a rock.
Hosted by Chris Tarrant it is the big money quiz where you have to answer 15 increasingly difficult questions in order to win the big money prize of £1,000,000.
To make it easier you can see the question and a choice of four answers before you even decide if you want to commit yourself to putting forward an answer. If the answer is correct your prize money moves up to the next level, if you are wrong it falls to one of three places:
£0.00 if you get a question wrong which is worth £1000 or less
£1000 if you get a question wrong which is worth £32,000 or less
£32,000 if you get a question wrong which is worth £1...

I want to be a millionaire
Advantages: It's sort of educational!
Disadvantages: It's addictive
...I played this game at my uncles house and found it quite fun, i managed to win £125,000 with the help of my mum, dad and sister! The game has really good graphics but Chris Tarrents voice is really annoying! It's fun because you can play it as teams or go head to head. The life lines are pretty useless because the audience isn't always right and when you 'phone a friend' the friend usually gets the answer wrong! It's annoying that you don't get the money you win, but you do get your name on the score board! My Uncle is quite addicted to it though, but at least you learn general knowledge from playing it! I'd recommend it to all age groups....
