I took out a private pension and a long term Additional Wealth Plan with them shortly after buying my home. A little background on Windsor Life: Windsor Life Assurance was purchased in 2004 by Swiss Re Group, which has been a well known insurer to other insurance companies since 1860. Its headquarters in the UK are in Telford and has managed more than 75 million in funds under management. It specialises in investments be they lump sum, regular savings, life insurance or pensions. Steer clear of Windsor Life - voted the worst in paying out

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Too many to list. They steal your money. Non-existent complaints procedure.

...Windsor Life has just been voted the worst for not paying out annuities in new research published by 'Which' (June 2009). They were also slammed as 'duplicitous' by David Blunkett for not paying out money due to a penniless widow (May 2009). It is clear why they are slow in paying out. They hold on to your money to make money for themselves. That is stealing. I personally have had very bad experiences with Windsor Life. They delayed in paying out my endowment policy and really screwed up my plans. Their projected forecasts are also nothing like their final payment - be prepared to let them run away with thousands of pounds of your hard earned money to pay bonuses to their staff. Unfortunately Windsor Life have taken over many old endowment policies. Their customers never chose them in the first place but they are saddled with them...

Advantages: Own a true gaming legend for your PS2
Disadvantages: Joypad is no mouse :( and no counterstrike

...the black mesa complex you can do almost anything you can break glass crawl through spaces, press buttons, pull levers, smash crates. There are lots of interactive things which makes the game seem much more whole. The atmosphere is unriveled in any game yet, it is just so chilling and believe me this game is every bit as scary as Doom 3, you hear strange noises as you walk round corners you never know what will happen doors crash down as aliens tear through them or you can just watch the zombie aliens feed off your human companions. Play this game on a dark night and trust me you wont sleep soundly. I found this out by accident when I was waiting for my partner (she was trying on the complete summer range of something or other). I'm nuts about whole nut!

Advantages: The taste is divine!!
Disadvantages: Not suitable for those allergic to nuts

To me putting chocolate and nuts together is a match made in heaven and putting nuts with my favourite chocolate in the world just makes the whole combination even better. Is it Time to Reclaim the Whole Woman?

Disadvantages: One person's opinions, therefore not an overview of millennial feminism

Sure, I had read articles on feminism and there is a lot of feminism portrayed in various media, but never before have I taken the time to read a book on the subject. Germaine Greer is an acquired taste - her views are often seen as controversial and they are only one woman's perspective of feminism. This isn't a commentary on feminism: it is a set of personal explanations and recommendations. The book is split into sections, which are divided into smaller chapters. The titles used for these chapters explain the subject matter without frills; they include 'sex' 'girlpower' 'breasts' and 'sisters'. This makes the book seem a bit like Greer picking topics out of a hat to rant about, which is great in some ways but maybe a little chaotic in others. The most refreshing thing...

Life on Mars - a TV series on a whole other level

Advantages: Exciting, involving and dramatic - episodes just fly by and stand up to rewatching.
Disadvantages: Episodes can seem slightly formulaic after you've seen a few.

...of modern life, and with little things that you don't notice on first watching. Sam's knowledge of modern policing methods, and his dilemmas as he sees the way the 1973 policeman handle cases are the central point of the show. My one criticism would be that each episodes seems to follow a similar formula, with Sam eventually bringing the others around to his point of view and way of doing things. Overall though, this doesn't detract from the series as a whole, and it's an addictive and involving drama, with comedic aspects....

A Whole 'New' Thing. Ya Dig?

...Sly & The Family Stone?s debut release, ?A Whole New Thing? came out in 1967 and it was an influential album for the Funk group, headed by Sly Stone, and has him with brother, Freddie, sister Vet, and other friends coming together to showcase their Psychedelic Soul, and Funk tunes, which were still in their developmental stages at the time when this was released. 1. ?Underdog? They kick the album off with the best tune on the whole thing, which takes from "Frere Jacque", and adapts this to some brass work before the tune breaks out into a big Funk recording to show exactly what they are about, and what the music is likely to contain as you go through it. **Five Stars** 2. ?If This Room Could Talk? MANN Countrywide (part of Countrywide Assured)

Advantages: Erm... they didn't smell too bad
Disadvantages: Takes advantage of the first time buyer! never calls - see below for rest of story...

...emotions to get a quick sale. Lee also managed to sell us "Countrywide Assured" buildings and contents insurance, even though the buildings insurance is included in the maintanence charges for the flat - we've only just found out, 2 years later - all that money wasted :`( And they never phone when they say they will - ever! I'll never again use them to buy or sell a property, and advise all first time buyers to take someone who has been through this process before when viewing properties/speaking to estate agents etc... and if they are told something which seems too good to be true, like wooden flooring, ask for it in writing!!! Then at least you have proof to complain if you need to....
