The Wii!

Advantages: New way of gaming, attracts new gamers, sleek design
Disadvantages: Graphics

...Hey there! I'm going to be reviewing the Nintendo Wii as it's one of my favourites systems at the moment. Now, the Nintendo Wii is very cheap for a great console ($250/£180) compaired to the other consoles like the PS3 and the Xbox, but I won't be getting into much detail about that. I received my Nintendo Wii about a week after Christmas being in the right place at the right time, anyway, I shall crack on to the review. =P It's obvious that Nintendo have carried on the sleek look to the Nintendo Wii from the DS lite which is good. The Nintendo Wii is small, eye catching and very beautiful to look at! It was much smaller than I thought it would be, it's also very light! As most of you know, the Nintendo Wii console sits in the grey stand which adds contrast to the design. There is a blue light that surrounds the disc...

A Wii for Mii

Advantages: Great fun, good for all ages
Disadvantages: Graphics aren't brilliant

...A few months after the Nintendo Wii was released my boyfriend decided that he wanted one. I'm not really a huge gamer so I wasn't too keen, it just seemed like almost £200 that would be better off in our bank account than being spent on another console. Then one of our friends got one and this only seemed to fuel his fire more, so one evening we'd popped round for a few beverages and t a game of tennis on the Wii was suggested. Well I played and lost a couple of games and much to my boyfriend's delight I had a lot of fun. The next week we sent each other a couple of emails at work about how much we'd enjoyed playing on it and decided we would get one. We had a look at a few bundles online, but I can be quite impatient and wanted one there and then. After work we took a drive to Morrisons and luckily they had some in stock, we parted...

Wii for me

Advantages: More genuine fun, get you fitter
Disadvantages: as most game stations the addictiveness

...In the ever increasing fight to stay top of the gaming console market the competition is strong. The XBox 360 soon to be Playstation 3 and the Wii are all contenders for that coveted number one console spot. I would not have thought it possible that a small box measuring 8 * 6 * 1.5 inches could even come close, how could it contain the power and memory required to stimulate today's sharp and technologically advanced kids. How can you improve on what we already have. I was in a position of thinking that the interactive part of gaming could not be improved without actually putting you in the game itself. Well Nintendo have come up with a solution which has almost achieved this. The Nintendo Wii is probably the most significant step forward in gaming for ages, the interaction here is almost physical, and I can see it rapidly...

Living With The Wii

Advantages: Fun for everyone. Easy, intuitive controls. Good Graphics :P
Disadvantages: Internet setup complicated. No DVD playback.

...After living with our Nintendo Wii for a good six weeks now, I thought I'd post a half-term report on how we, as a family, are living with this extraordinary little console. There are other excellent reviews on the in's, out's and wherefore's of the Wii but I thought I'd give you an idea of what it's like after the initial excitement has died down. I also mention Wii Sports which, considering it comes free with the console, I thought to be a pertinent addition to the review. Please see the end of this review for links to other excellent reviews that go into detail of what is included in the Wii package. We bought our Wii at the beginning of November 2007, just before the big boom in demand. We paid £230 for it off Ebay and it came from Germany as it seemed to be the only place it was available. The RRP is £179.00 and yes, we...

Wow Wii

Advantages: Makes up for Gamecube's short comings
Disadvantages: Doesn't keep up on raw power

...This may sound hard to believe but as of March 8th the Wii will have been on the European market for four months, that's a third of a year, and I can't believe it has been that long since the stories of console shortages and flying controllers hit the news. For those that live under a rock, the Wii is Nintendo's fifth home console, following in the footsteps of; NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube. I say following in the footsteps, but in the sense of 'what comes next', the Nintendo Wii took a giant leap that needed to be taken in order to keep Nintendo in competition with Sony and Microsoft. They created a console with a motion sensing controller. Wii was always coming, because you can always be sure that as long as there is going to be a next generation of computer games, Nintendo shall be involved. Nintendo aren't used to battling though...

Better that Wii Fit but ........

Advantages: A great improvement on Wii Fit
Disadvantages: You need to be self motivated to stick with it

...I bought Wii Fit last year and have now used it for over 400 hours so I guess you could say I have had my money's worth out of it. I do like it but it has its shortcomings not least of which is the fact that it takes a long time to work through a routine so I was pleased when I heard that Nintendo were bringing out a new versions and I wanted to see what that offered. Wii Fit Plus is intended to overcome some of the shortcomings and to allow you to plan a whole routine rather than do it piecemeal and have to wait between exercises. I preordered mine via Amazon where you buy Wii Fit Plus for just £17.99 if you already have the Wii Balance Board or £79.99 with the Balance Board. As this is a full product review I will outline everything that it does which does include everything on the original Wii Fit so if you already have Wii...

Wii FOR ALL

Advantages: Fun, active, unique variety of games.
Disadvantages: Have to get up off the couch to play this one!

...Looking for great video games for all ages that also provide a little exercise? It seems almost impossible to put video games and exercise together but buy a Wii and get both. Great for ages 1-99+!! In my opinion this is a winning video game system that everyone should have in their homes! The variety of games are amazing. For anyone who hasn't tried the cow racing...it's a must! Bowling is great fun too. Wii fit was a great idea for those who enjoy working out at home. Wii sports is great for the sports fanatic in your home. Get in on the real action and feel like you are part of the game. Saturday night hockey now has a whole new meaning. And Rock Band is still a favority for those youth that tend to hang out at your house every Friday night. Enjoy this product, because if you don't, others will!...

Review on the wii

Advantages: it's great for anyone and everyone.
Disadvantages: Honestly the graphics could be a little bit better.

...DO NOT BUY AN XBOX 360 OR A PS3, BUY THE WII YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT ONCE!!!! The is the bext console out their on the market when i got my wii i played on it for 4 hours solid, ok call me a nerd but it really is that good. For those of you that know a bit about Nintendo you'll probably know that the wii was not allways called the wii it was called the revolution because it would revelotionise the way we played a game, then the name was changed to the wii because wii as in we play togethor, because this console is not just for the hardcore gamers it's for all ages and types of gamers. The wii is great for playing family games such as wii sports, mario party 8, wii play and many others. I've been saying how good it is for families but hardcore gamers don't fear there are many games such as Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime...

Review of Nintendo Wii

Wii Review

Advantages: Fun, Cheap, Innovative Controls
Disadvantages: Poor Graphics compared to PS3 Xbox 360.

...I have had this console since it came out in December in the UK. I have been very happy with it. The machine it self is very small compared to the the other current consoles available. It is currently only available in White with a Grey stand which give it a nice clean and simple look. It is very easy to set up took me about 5-10 minutes using the instruction that come with it. The only difference from setting up the Wii and any other console is you get a sensor bar which needs to be placed either on the top or bottom of the television so that the Wii controller called the 'Wiimote' can tell whereabouts on the screen you are pointing at. As you have probably gathered from skimming through the majority of reviews on the Wii. It is a fun console that attracts not only your average computer game fan but also people who have not been...

Wii Wiisdom

Advantages: Interactive Gameplay
Disadvantages: To many late nights

...The latest offering from the land of the rising sun is the Nintendo WII( pronounced wee) not so powerful as it's rival the Playstation 3 but outselling it by three to one. It's certainly flying off the shelves. You couldn't buy one at Christmas time for love nor money I was lucky I won mine in a competition ( stuffy git aren't I ). So what's so special about it you may ask ? Well it doesn't have the graphical power of the Xbox 360 or the play station 3 but what's the point of having a brilliant picture if the games aren't any good. It's like these new HD televisions fantastic picture but still the same old crappy programmes e.g.Emmerdale, Eastenders and Coronation street what's the point? What the Wii does have is the Wiimote controller. This is motion sensitive and really brings the games to life and makes interacting...
