==Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)==
Advantages: variety of games to play
Disadvantages: Slow loading
...Mario & Sonic at the olympic games was the first game i bought after getting a Wii for christmas.
I personally think that it is an excellent first game to get for the Wii. You can happily play for hours and hours becuase of the wide variety of events you can play. These events include;
*"Swimming"
*"Archery"
*"Running"
*"Hurdles"
*"Long jump"
*"Triple jump"
*High jump"
*"Pole vault"
*"Hammer throw"
*"Javeline throw"
*"Epée"
*"Trampoline"
*"Vault"
*"Rowing"
*"Skeet"
*"Tennis"
So as you can see by this list you have a wide variety to choose from but you also have the options of unlocking different games, this can be done by breaking records and so on. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is fun for all the family to enjoy because it has a multiplayer option of upto 4 people. You also get to choose from all your favourite...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)
Advantages: Great fun, realistic actions
Disadvantages: Will tire you out easily
...At The Olympic Games firstly on the Nintendo Wii, but followed shortly on the handheld DS, and I must admit it's a cracker!
With all the talk about games consoles these days being no good for children, who sit bashing buttons when they should be outside getting exercise, Mario & Sonic comes as a breath of fresh air, as after a few rounds of events and waving the Wii remote around, I certainly was soon out of breath.
There's 24 events to choose from which will work out a certain part of your body and co-ordination, from reaction speeds to accuracy. Most events require you to use both the Wii remote and Nunchuck, but some only need the remote. The most common action which is used on a lot of events, such as the 100m sprint and swimming, is to wave the remote and nunchuck up and down as fast as possible. Believe me, you will get tired after doing this...

On your Marios, Get Sonic, Wii!
Advantages: Makes great use of the wii controller, good for multi- or singleplayer, exercise
Disadvantages: none for me.
...Nintendo's had a great idea with this one: a game which appeals to fans of Mario, Sonic, sports games, and children who want a brightly coloured game thats a lot of fun. I think you'd have to look far to find someone who couldn't find anything to like in this game.
In this game, you get to play a variety of Olympics sports on the wii, either against the computer or with a group of friends, providing you have enough controllers. You can choose between 20 characters, who are all from the Mario games on Nintendo or Sonic's Sega games, for example you can play as Tails, Yoshi, Amy, and even Princess Daisy, who my friends tell me is from the first Mario adventure. Each of them has their own strengths: for example sonic is fast, but dr robotnik (annoying called dr eggman in this game) is really strong. This means that if you're doing a 100m...

The Wii - A games console for the whole family
Advantages: Great for all ages, easy to use, interactive
Disadvantages: None really
...I haven't owned a game console for a long time. As a child I had the Sega Master System and then later on a Gameboy but never progressed from there. Coming from a predominantly female house meant most the money we had went on clothes rather than computer games. Anyway I have recently played the Wii a few times round friends and relatives houses and thought they were really fun. Therefore when I found myself with some Amazon vouchers I decided that I would purchase.
We ordered the Wii from Amazon as was on there for 176 pounds which was definitely the most reasonable price we came across. Many others were selling for over 250 pounds. With the Amazon vouchers and low price it seemed silly to purchase from anywhere else. We ordered this and used the free trial of Amazon prime to get next day delivery. On Amazon they were also having...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
Advantages: Great multiplayer fun, lots to do
Disadvantages: Slightly Repetetive
...The Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has been with us for a while now, and it hasn't been too badly received either amongst the Wii-mote waving, button bashing members of the public out there, so now that the DS version has finally arrived, should these same gamers still be as excited as they were the first time around?
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games on the DS is certainly not short on features, 16 playable characters have all been included, each of which are split into four categories such speed, skill, power and the all rounder's, therefore you can choose which characters you would prefer to use for each event based on their ability. The game also offers plenty of choice when it comes to events, these range from sprinting, swimming and cycling to more specialist events such as fencing and gymnastics...

Wii - a great console
Advantages: completely interactive, easy to use, lots of fun
Disadvantages: limited multiplayer games
...I was given the nintendo wii as a birthday gift from my boyfriend in August. I have wanted one for absolutely ages and was not disappointed. The first thing i did was go out and get extra nun-chucks, an extra controller and 3 more games! This is a great interactive console that is great for all the family as well as wii parties with friends (whilst you can pass your one wii remote around between you, it's probably better if you invest in a few more remote controllers). My mum and my 8 year old brother equally enjoyed playing wii sports and rayman's raving rabbits (an excellent game by the way)
The wii works best (obviously) with a spacious room and a good sized tv - then you can really get into the swing of things without the fear of bashing your fellow player. I've had a few such incidences because you can't help but really go...

Sonic & Mario Olympics, Perfect Wii Game
Advantages: Lots of players to choose, good variety of events
Disadvantages: The Award Ceremony at end of events is annoying
...Mario & Sonic At The Olympic games, What a fab Idea, the beloved console spotlights Mario, sonic, miis, and their gangs. I've always been stuck, which to go for Mario or Sonic, so I am so glad they teamed up and made a game together. And the Olympics, what a great place to compete in the world of sports, and Wii.
In M&SO their is every Olympic game you can ever thing of, shooting, fencing, high jump, triple jump, vault, trampolining, archery, table tennis, swimming, and a whole lot more! Its great, this game also makes fantastic use the Wii's Controller, and Nunchuck. In most events only the Remote is required, although you can choose the choose the nunchuck for extra, realism.
So whats so great about this game you ask? Well for one the amazing variety of events to play, the graphics are also nice!! Other positives include, multi...

Wii king of consoles
Advantages: Cheapest console and best
Disadvantages: not as good technicnally as xbox and ps3
...Since My Childhood I have had the pleasure to own the 4 previous genrations to the Wii. The N.E.S in 1986 the Super Nintendo in 1991, the Nintendo N64 in 1996 and the GameCube in 2002. All of these consoles were brilliant in their own way but had varying degrees of success commercially. The Super Nintendo being the best selling and The GameCube the least.
I have no doubt having owned and played a Wii it will becomes Nintendo's biggest success ever. Due to the fact Nintendo has marketed this machine and such a wide and diverse audience. From the old school Nintendo hardcore gamer with Classics such as Zelda Twilight Princess, to the fitness conscious through wiii fit. And most importantly it has managed mainly through the unique way which it is controlled through its motion centered controller it has managed to appeal to gamers who may...

Now you can compete in the olympic games
Advantages: fun, variety of events
Disadvantages: muscle strain
...Having seen the advert for this game i was desperate to buy it as i have not had my wii for that long and i do not have many games. I eventually bought this game and i am so glad that i did as it is great fun.
Players
This game can be played as a one player or multiplayer as long as you have a wii remote for each player. Also you will need a nunchuck for each player although some of the games you can play with just the remote.
Characters
In this game you can play as characters from either sonic or mario such as sonic, tails, mario, princess daisy and yoshi. Each of the characters have different abilities which are split into speed, skill, power and stamina. you can choose a character who is a speed, skill, power or all around type which means that if you are playing a running game you would choose a character from the speed type...

The Wii console - fun for all the family!
Advantages: great graphics, good range of types of games available, looks great, more active involvement
Disadvantages: price, space needed to play it, electricity cost of running it
...Well if you have managed to get hold of one then congratulations. I think this is an amazing console. It looks great, the graphics on games are fantastic and the whole Wii concept is a load of fun to play. At New Year we had 10 people in a sports tournament ranging in age from 16 to 65 and everyone had a laugh. The teenagers in our house adore it, the younger children are fascinated and even the grumpy old adults have been known to sneak a play on it when the others aren't looking.
The disadvantages as I perceive them are:
a) you do need a reasonable size space to play in in - we have a big lounge (25' x 18') but still a cousin clonked a granny whilst playing.
b) in idle mode it still uses a lot of electricity so be warned - make sure your teenagers swich off and power down. They don't like this if they have a game in progress cos...
