Wilkinson Everytime

...When I first went into a wilkinson store about 2 years ago I thought it was going to be full of cheap junk, however to my surprise as I walked through the door I was greeted by a friendly member of staff and a toiletries section with very good prices, I carried on round the store, I was actually after some windscreen washer for the car but I couldn't find it so I went to the help desk and asked where abouts it was kept and the girl on there got another member of staff to walk me accross to the product to save me time. Ever since that day I have found it a pleasure to shop at wilkinson. There prices are always lower than my local supermarket, the staff are much friendlier and always happy to advise or simply take you to a product. What ever it is you are after wilkinson probably have it. They stock everything from car care, toiletries...

Advantages: Great low prices and fantastic variety.
Disadvantages: Not really any, unless you start being pedantic...

...relatively new section is still continuously expanding, it's definitely a great place to shop for some bargain art materials. In terms of the atmosphere of the stores; many of the Wilkinson stores are very large shops. Their motif colours are red and creamy beige - the general atmosphere of the store is generally a 'beigy' feel. Not much has been paid to attention in terms of interior design, but most importantly the stores are usually clean and spacious. A lot of low cost pound sharps have a harsh cold 'feel' to them, this probably just me but generally I find Wilkinson's the opposite and this is one of the best things that set them apart. The staff are generally friendly and helpful - they are usually wearing tomato red polo shirts with a yellow Wilkinson's logo on. Personally, I have to remember to look for this before I approach anyone...

Wilkinsons stores

...I cannot visit town without going to the Wilkinson store. It is worth going in just to speak to the friendly staff. The store is very well setout and always able to find the thing you need without any trouble. I am disabled and the help that is offered to me is unbeatable, plus the store is easy to negotiate. If I need somethingI cannot see it is no problem for the staff to go to the stock room. I recommend Wilkinson stores to anyone, they are next to none. The prices are good, but in some cases can be beaten, but if you can find cheaper they will refund the differece, plus if you return goods just becase you have changed your mind or had second thoughts they will refund your money without question. The store is always clean and tidy, friendly and inexpensive, there is no tat as someone has said. The items they sell are numerus, all...

Wilkinsons - Student Dream!!

Advantages: Lots of cheap necessities
Disadvantages: poor quality - but cheap, poor staff

...A students heaven! It has all the household necessities at cheap cheap prices! No need to over spend on cleaning products, bedsheets - which don't run, or even certain foods. Not only this, but if you're a fancy dress fanatic, it's one of the best places for cheap accessories. There's a great DIY section in the bigger wilkinson shops and you can probably find the paint colour which matches your student room walls, so you can touch up on any marks that you might have "accidently" inflicted, helping to avoid any furthur costs once you've vacated your room. Although most wilkinsons are staffed by incompetent, unfriendly people who couldn't care less if you found the bleach or not, it doesn't matter due to the easy to find layout! However, if you feel like you must ask for assistance i suggest you find someone who at least looks...

...Our local Wilkinson store opened 9 years ago and the rumours were at that time that this was going to be another one of those tacky bargain basement shops where everything was not of the highest standard. Well thankfully everybody was wrong. This is one the busiest stores - if not the busiest - in our town centre. An extremely large store - but be warned - you need plenty of time to shop and plenty of money. A brightly lit store, very clean and welcoming with 20-25 isles packed with everything under the sun - some of their own brands, some well known brands and some you have just never heard of.
