The Dead Will Have Their Day!

Advantages: Intelligent addition to Romero's zombie saga, darkly savage, black humour.
Disadvantages: If you're not a fan of zombies, this might not be your cup of tea.

.../electrician, are heavily stereotyped: the former wants to lie on a beach whilst the latter is a heavy drinker, but as ever with Romero, it's knowingly done. As William says, with deadpan irony: 'Well, what do you know, we are heroes after all. What a relief'. The film is intensely grisly- there's a lot of blood, guts and assorted gore- and it also has a lot of swearing, but for those who care to pay attention (or are willing to give second chances) it is also an intelligent, witty film and an extremely worthy addition to Romero's 'Dead' canon. I've returned to watch this many, many times now and can honestly recommend it highly to others. Advantages: A good film with great special effects
Disadvantages: A little predictable in places

Disadvantages: Not much depth to the personal side of the story

...2nd up in the Friday night Film Fest was The Day After Tomorrow. I love disaster movies and imagined this on the same footing as Independence Day and Armageddon. I was a bit disappointed with this though as the focus was more on how many special effects they could fit in rather than the storyline. however for what it was, it was pretty enjoyable and left us debating how we would survive if a similar catastrophe was to occur anytime soon. We came to the conclusion that we would probably be completely screwed as we allegedly have double glazing but the temperature in my house frequently falls below the outside temp and we have a chimney that is big enough to fit 3 Santas down. Day After Tomorrow: where will you be??

Advantages: Stunning visual and special effects
Disadvantages: Not the most original plot of all time...

...a massive climate change, similar in effect to that of the last ice will hit the earth at some stage in the future. The only thing that Hall doesn't realise is that rather than the anticipated decades or centuries for the change in climate to occur it is happening now, and the day after tomorrow. The Northern hemisphere is thrown into complete chaos as the gigantic change occurs in a matter of hours from torrential rain fall, hurricanes and ultimate flooding of whole cities and countries. Adrian Hall's son, Sam, (Jake Gyllenhaal) is meanwhile trapped in New York City as the storms take over the world. Where there's a Will

Advantages: Entertaining, informative, a fun read
Disadvantages: Author sometimes appears too good to be true

...Having recently returned from the idyllic Solomon Islands, Will Randall is having terrible time teaching in an inner-city comprehensive. During a class visit to an art gallery a chance encounter with an eccentric Dutchwoman presents an opportunity to escape. The woman is Maria-Helena von Würfelwerfer and Randall agrees to be her chaperone as she travels to India to join her elderly Maharaja lover. Once Maria-Helena is safely delivered, Will finds himself in the unusual position of having nowhere in particular to go and nothing in particular to do - until he is charmed by the children of an ashram for orphans and agrees to become their English teacher. One Day All This Are Belong to Us?

Advantages: Another promising release from a keen rock band.
Disadvantages: My terrible review title. Someone suggest a better one...

.... It starts on a simple piano riff that varies and repeats during the song. Like Grand Unification pt. 2 on the last, this track (for me) is what the album is all about. It's got an amazingly catchy chorus and some lovely melodies. It's only flaw that I can see is suffering from something I will from now refer to as 'Fighstar-syndrome', the strange need for a quiet break down before the last leg. It really isn't done very well on this track. Apart from that it's amazing material, and remains one of my favourite tracks of the last few monthts. Big, doomish, apocalypse music. Deathcar stands out as one of the heaviest tracks on the CD. At the beginning you hear the sounds of Charlie (lead) holding his breath under water then gasping for air, followed immediately by a sudden driving heavy-metal intro. Later the same con blackmails Dr Smart into giving him a job as caretaker. Later still, the con decides to steal the school governesses' diamond necklace during an Old Boys reunion day. Where Theres A Will There's A Grace

Advantages: Funny show.
Disadvantages: Very stereotypical.

...Will & Grace is a Emmy award winning sitcom that aired between 1998-2006. The show takes place in New York City and focuses on Will Truman, a gay lawyer and his best friend Grace Adler, a straight Jewish girl who runs her own interior design firm. That show sounds boring, why is it so good I hear you ask. The casting directors hired two perfect actors to play Will & Grace. Eric McCormack who plays Will isn't too gay like someone else in the show, so it makes it seem plausible that Grace thought he was straight. Debra Messing who plays Grace is just so bubbly and eccentric that you can't help but love her. Most importantly though it's the chemistry between Will & Grace that pulls you in, I myself always thought that they'd get together in the end. The show doesn't just focus around these two characters though, two of the best...

...Perfect Day was the second debut album to be released by German Dance Group Cascada in 2007 approximately a year after the release of their first debut album Every Time We Touch. The album perfect day consists of 13 full length music tracks which gives this album a total run time of approximately 44 minutes. The Dance Group Cascada consists of three members whom are Natalie Horler, and her producers Yanou and DJ Manian, however most people will associate the band Cascada with only female vocalist Natalie. This album in my opinion is slightly the same as other full length Dance/Electronic albums which are on the market at the moment. The similarities are of course in the use of strong bass lines in the tracks as well as a fast tempo and very minimal melody at the beginning of the songs.
