...One of the TVs in my house has just been replaced, we was lucky enough to get a deal on the Samsung PS50b451 instead of it costing around the £700 asking price a friend of ours used her staff discount and along with some vouchers, the TV cost us around £350 which is brilliant for what it is. bit of a bargain actually. I thought I would review it to see if it is actually worth the £700 asking price to those who aren?t as lucky as us to have a friend who works in a shop that sells them. Why choose this one? The reason that we choose this particular TV is that we wanted one in the 50 inch size range to replace the old one, and when we had a look at the range available we found that this one was not only the cheapest for what it is, but also we found that this one was the better looking of the three we narrowed our choice down to...

Davy Crockett ranch - Disney

Advantages: great pool, good cabins and great deals available
Disadvantages: 15 minute drive from main parks

...I went to Disneyland last week with my family and stayed there for 3 nights at the Davy Crockett Ranch. I have now visited Disneyland Paris 6 times and have also been to Disney world in Orlando as well last year. However I have stayed at the Disney hotel and a few of the others but I have to say that Davy Crockett ranch has to be one of the best ones there and certainly my favourite as it has so many great features and offers much more as well as being more free. The Accommodation: When you stay there you will be put in a small wooden cabin in a particular area which are all named such as Tomahawk or Bobcat. Each small 'camp' includes about 50 to 100 cabins all with separate parking spaces and outdoor bins. Inside you have a choice of either a one or two bedroom hut and all of them can sleep up to 6 people, with a double bed...

Steve Davies rules the Eighties

Advantages: Pulled snooker from pub sport to top television
Disadvantages: Cannot compete with the influx of new talent any more

...Steve Davies - 6 times world champion and absolute snooker king of the 80s! He can't play anymore, but boy can he commentate! I used to enjoy watching Davies in the 80s when I was a young lad, my father being a keen watcher of snooker. There is no doubt that Davies was the king of modern snooker then, when the sport was just becoming accepted as a television sport. Lots of women apparently used to find him extremely attractive - with his tall thin demeanour, and the way he used to slide his cue back and forth between the dimple in his chin. Whatever turns them on! The attraction of Davies was clearly that he was the young kid on the block in the 80s, and he took on what was largely a group of older established men who played slowly and drank lots of beer. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. ...My partner and I stayed at the Davis Bangkok last year whilst on our gap year, and it was the most memorable hotel that we visited. Slightly out of town, and reasonably dear (£45 pere night) located in the quieter Sukhumvit area, we felt that it was a good base to rest in before entering the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, via the skytrain. Our room was in the annex that is a one minute walk from the main hotel, this section being more recently built. The hotel prides iself on being a 'boutique' hotel with ultimate care taken over interior design, which showed throughout. The room was decorated in a contemporary style and though the view wasn't spectacular, the room made up for it. The bathroom was large and had marble floors, with a bath and seperate shower. William Blake's works

Advantages: Beautifully written poems concerning the effects of innocence and experience
Disadvantages: The language is often hard to read without concentration

...In his poems, William Blake has a number of underlying messages riddled in them. He seems to agree and disagree with certain things in a number of his poems which I will now discuss. In Songs of Experience, the poem called The Garden of Love shows some of the things that Blake seems to disagree with. In The Garden of Love I believe Blake tries to convey that as a child grows up things change. He seems to think that these changes are bad, for example the chapel replaced his childhood green where he had played and instead of flowers on the green, tombstones in a graveyard. I think he is saying that childhood was a happier, carefree time and as adulthood abruptly arises, you lose the innocence of your childhood. In William Blake?s case, things become darker.
