A cheap way to improve you're golf swing

Advantages: very cheap, they work, you can practice in the garden
Disadvantages: you may prefer real golf balls

...I have recently got back into golf again and played a few 9 hole rounds with friends, but I was very rusty as it has been a while! The main problem, as most players find when they play infrequently was my swing. One minute I'd completely slice the ball and the next hit a reasonable shot. The tee shots were the most annoying because they setup how the hole is going to pan out for you and most of the time I was leaving myself a lot to do. After playing a quite dissapointing round we had a look in the club shop to see what they had on offer. I noticed these airflow practice balls and they seemed like a fab training aid and something which should really help my swing. They are exactly the same size and dimension as a normal golf ball, but are of plastic construction and have airholes all over them, producing maximum drag from the moment...

Nike Golf Nike One Black Golf Balls

Advantages: Very very long
Disadvantages: expensive to lose

...I tried a Nike Golf Nike One Black Golf Ball in a match play knockout yesterday, I play off 21 and my opponant was off 12 so granted i did have a few shot in hand. I have never used a Nike one black (the ball is white however) but was very impressed with the result. I found the ball which has a thin urethene cover and a enanced 408 dimples very long to hit, Longer than my usual PTS Solo golf balls. I was very impressed with the length and how straight it flew in the air. Off the tee I only missed two fairways but the length was very impressive. I won my game 3 and 2 and to be honest I didn't really need the shots. Really though i found the combination of the balls and my Ping G2 driver excellent. on the greens my ball did truely roll further and felt very nice to hit. I felt the disatnce almost with my first putt, and was never 2 foot...

Cobra are an excellent golf manufacturer, they make clubs, bags, gloves, towels etc. however the investment in technology and research required for them to create there own golf ball has put them off the idea. Cobra has a reputation for making high quality accessories and high power clubs. Cobra's pride and joy is it's range of drivers. The best and most expensive of which is the King Cobra 440sz. I haven't used this on the course but have had the fortune of trying this weapon on the range. I can tell you, it's a pleasure. Trying a new club is always exciting but this was quite an experience. ...I have a small home so when I needed a new vacuum cleaner I chose the Dyson DC24 which is a smaller version of the standard model. It cost £189.99. I was expecting almost a child sized vacuum cleaner but there is not really much difference at all. It was so simple to put together, there are peel off stickers on the unit to explain things as you go. It only took me 5 minutes to have it assembled. The ball makes vacuuming effortless, and the head of the vacuum is narrow so its easy to get under the sofa, low tables, etc. It has strong suction as you would expect from a Dyson but it is surprising how full the cylinder is when you have finished. It really gets everything up. This does mean however that you need to empty the dust cylinder quite frequently. The power cable is short and not retractable which can look a bit untidy if it is...

Charlie Wilson's Fight for Afghanistan

Advantages: Great Acting, excellent story
Disadvantages: Some sad scenes of the Afghan suffering

I think the deciding factor was that it stared Tom Hanks and Julie Roberts, both of which I like. The film features Charlie Wilson, played by Tom Hanks who is a party loving Congress man. He is good friends with Joanne who is a rich Socialite, played by Julia Roberts. Joanne manages to talk Charlie into looking at the troubles in Afghanistan where they are being invaded by the Russians. Charlie goes and sees the troubles first hand and is shocked at what he finds. He does agree to help Joanne by getting the weapons and ammunition which they need to defend their country. To do this Charlie is helped by a CIA agent, Gust Avrakotos and soon finds he needs to persuade the Congress to give them large amounts of money...

Dyson Ball DC25

Advantages: Very light and very manoeverable.
Disadvantages: Bit too light and moves around a lot.

...on the machine to stop it moving around. It comes with a 5 year guarantee which is not bad for household equipment, but the replacement filters are around £18 which i thought a bit expensive. The tools are easy to use and simple push in to the side of the machine. Very easy to clip on and off and of course saves storage space as they fit into the machine itsef. Removing the filters i found the top one easy, but the one in the ball very fiddly and quite hard to get out. On the whole i would recommend this product but only for small houses or flats. If you have a large home then i would suggest the larger and heavier model of this cleaner....
