WILSON HAMMER 6
Advantages: Ideal racquet for someone who has had experience in playing
Disadvantages: none
...The Wilson Hammer 6 is targeted at people who have some expericience in tennis already. It's not an ideal racquet for anyone who is a novice in playing tennis because it is heaviier than a racquet designed for a beginner. This type of racquet has been used by Serena Williams a few years ago.It has a breakthrough construction technology which is called Isognd. Isognd generates carbon fibres inside the edges of the frame which creates exceptional power and strength in each shot. The racquet is designed for a player who has a fast or long swing speed and it is fairly light however it is strong enough so that a players can produce effective and strong shots when they use the racquet with adequate accuracy and pace. The grip on the racquet is very comfortable to hold. I would recommend this racquet because it is a light and very powerful...

Wilson Hyper ProStaff 5.0
Advantages: Good pucnh and good control for an hyper carbon racket
Disadvantages: needs more control
...This is a pretty good racket. Coming into the hyper carbon era in tennis from graphite this racket has a lot of punch to it, and also has a lot of control to it. The control may not be has good as the original ProStaff graphite racket which was used by former no. 1 Pete Sampras. However comparing this racket to other hyper carbon rackets this racket has good control. The punch in this racket makes it easier to play shots witm more power and little effort, however the draw back with this racket for me has been when trying to attack an approach ball. When you try to put a little more effort in the attack the racket usually ends up giving to much of a punch making the ball out of control....

My racquet of choice
Advantages: Great feel.
Disadvantages: Little control on first serve.
...In a previous opinion in the tennis racquets section, I stated that I had a Wilson Hammer 6.4. Unfortunately due to some rather worrying circumstances, I no longer have this racquet. Why?, I hear you ask. Well the answer is that it broke. Because I play a very 'coached' game, I tend to hit massive topspin on my forehand which breaks a lot of strings. Constant re-strings eventually start to damage the frame of the racquet due to the constant change in tension and stress. This leads to cracks appearing in the frames and then in the case of my racquet, it just buckled.
So, I had to look for new racquets. The first racquet that crossed my mind was the Wilson Hyper Hammer 6.3 and that was the one which I decided on. The Wilson Hammer range of racquets has been going for ages now and in the 1998/9 they introduced a new compound for making...

Charlie Wilson's Fight for Afghanistan
Advantages: Great Acting, excellent story
Disadvantages: Some sad scenes of the Afghan suffering
...Charlie Wilson's War is a film which I had been undecided about for a few weeks so I finally took the plunge and bought it. I think the deciding factor was that it stared Tom Hanks and Julie Roberts, both of which I like.
The film features Charlie Wilson, played by Tom Hanks who is a party loving Congress man. He is good friends with Joanne who is a rich Socialite, played by Julia Roberts. Joanne manages to talk Charlie into looking at the troubles in Afghanistan where they are being invaded by the Russians. Charlie goes and sees the troubles first hand and is shocked at what he finds. He does agree to help Joanne by getting the weapons and ammunition which they need to defend their country. To do this Charlie is helped by a CIA agent, Gust Avrakotos and soon finds he needs to persuade the Congress to give them large amounts of money...

UPDATED - Hammerite gets you hammered
Advantages: One coat usually covers all, but may require two.
Disadvantages: Be aware of the fumes.
...UPDATE - OK, boring review on a tin of paint, but just to remind you that this is only being made for another few weeks, so you will be hard pressed to find it in the shops after that. There are other alternatives, but in my opinion not as good as the genuine Hammerite.
Secondly, I must just say that although I think the Hammerite range is fantastic, I always use it with adequate ventilation. The fumes from this paint are not pleasant. The main thing is to wire brush every bit you want to paint first, and don't paint in direct sunlight. With the hammered finish, you can paint it on liberally, and get away with one coat, although Hammerite do recommend two coats applied within six hours.
Compared with smooth - it has a similar consistency, but obviously dries with a textured surface, not unlike a proper hammer beaten piece...

AIPTEK Hyper-V-Cam
Advantages: Great budget camera, very good picture quality for age/price.
Disadvantages: Not manufactured anymore. See review for details of others.
...at the front, also a little green LED which tells you when the camera is on...I did leave it on for a LONG time and it started flashing and went a little nuts, so maybe not a good idea to do this! The button on the top, (when all drivers and software is installed ) activates the quick start of the picture taking software so you don?t need to go through stupid start menus etc to get it going.
The manual lens adjustment is for focusing purposes only and it can be annoying at times when you wish it was auto focusing, but this camera is so old now that it?s not even listed on the manufactures website! So if you don?t have the drivers, you will need to look around the web like I did of which the file name was ... " hypervcammobile-win98-xp-2000vs325.exe" In case you need them.
CONNECTION:
Leading out the back of the cam is...

Wilson tries 'gothic' but loses the element of surprise
Advantages: realistic, mildly enjoyable
Disadvantages: predictable, dramatic event too sudden and unresolved
...This is the first Jacqueline Wilson book I have tried reading (as part of shadowing the ?Berkshire Book Award? and I have to admit that it was better than I?d anticipated. Wilson is famous for writing amazingly popular stories for young children, around 10-13, and has been honoured with many of the UK?s top awards for children?s books. She was also the Children?s Laureate for 2005-7 and was awarded an OBE in 2002. Obviously I was aware of her popularity, but I was convinced that her books were over-hyped, dull and simplistic. (These are the same reasons why I have never read any of the Harry Potter books.)
?My Sister Jodie? tells the story of two very different sisters: Pearl is shy/reserved and her sister Jodie is much more confident with a flair for getting in to trouble. The story is told from Pearl?s perspective, but Jodie...

With the Russians...
