Normally at the bottom of the screen, but something that can be moved, is the task bar. Windows 7 - The Best OS Yet!

Advantages: Great new toolbar, excellent personalisation, overall brilliant design
Disadvantages: Really similar to Vista.

...In July, I downloaded the Release Candidate of Windows 7 to evaluate the new operating system and I have to say it's the best version of Windows yet! It surpasses Vista in every way. Windows 7 is not available yet but I'm encouraging all Vista uers to upgrade in October as soon as the software is released. In the rest of my review I will outline some of the key features. For starters, the toolbar has been changed dramatically. Windows 7 - a great operating system.

Advantages: looks great, easy to use, nice new taskbar, high compatibility
Disadvantages: cost is still high

...I recently upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate. I had not minded Windows Vista as much as other people; my computer has a 2.13GHz dual core processor and 4GB of RAM. Windows 7 doesn't actually seem to be any faster, but it has some better features and is overall easier to use. It took about 2 hours to upgrade, which isn't bad but it's not amazingly fast. It runs all of my programs that ran under Vista no problem, and some of my hardware is actually now supported that wasn't supported in Vista. I haven't found anything that doesn't work after upgrading. I still recommend that you run the "Windows 7 upgrade advisor" first just to make sure. The new taskbar looks a bit different, but don't be worried, you'll get used to it, and once you do you'll find out that it's a big improvement. Programs no longer have text, just...

Windows 7 - it makes Vista look like a beta

Advantages: smooth, quick, easy to install and use, pretty to look at, simplified for the masses
Disadvantages: Vista should have been like this - Microsoft robbed us!

...Windows 7 makes Windows Vista feel like a beta. That?s my philosophy. It was my philosophy before I bought Windows 7 and it?s still my philosophy now. That?s where the ?it looks like Vista? comments come from. Windows 7 is Vista without all the rubbish. Everything people moaned about in vista is gone (or improved) and 7 is more spangly and all singing and dancing. It looks better, runs more smoothly and is simple to use. You might even say its been dumbed down for the masses. Simplified. It?s a pleasure to use. It loads more quickly than Vista and is aesthetically pleasing as it does so. ...I was using my friends computer which had Windows 95 which made me realise just how good and fast Windows 98 is in comparison with Windows 95. I definitely think that Microsoft are the bench mark in computer software. Windows 98 is evident of that. You can get Windows 98 for £75 or if you buy a new computer you can have it already installed. The good thing is that if you have a new printer, mouse etc. Instead of having to use extra discs to install them you can simple ‘Add’ new software. Generally with Windows 98 there is much more colour and animations like Desktop themes and you are given much more control the ‘Settings’ include everything you would want. You get all the accessories that came with Windows 95 like Notepad, calculator, the four basic games that were on Win95 they are on here...

Windows 7: Is what Microsoft is saying really true?

Advantages: Runs really fast, Some very good features, any decent machine can run it.
Disadvantages: The Price. It looks like vista and it really is just a brush up on the old OS

...Windows 7 has been said by Microsoft as being much improved and everyone would be happy with the end result. But is it really better, below is my review of a few sections which I believe is most important and compare it to older versions. Speed: 9/10 Much faster than Vista. To compare with the Vista OS, on Vista it took around 30 secs to 45 secs to boot up and log me in. Now on Windows 7 it takes 20 - 30 secs to boot up. Shut down is also so much faster. Vista = 15 secs... Windows 7 = 5 secs..... So there is a huge improvement. Also when running programs or browsing the internet you feel like this Operating System is very smooth and just does what you want (most of the time) Program Compatablilty: 8/10 Most Programs that run on Vista will run on Windows 7 (32-bit) very well. Windows '95 - Safe? Reliable?

...When Windows '95 was first released it sparked a new era in the IT Industry, it meant that literally anyone could finnaly use a computer to do the things that we all wanted most people had little or no trouble at all navigating their way around the software. This is all well and good but there is a downside, a big downside, and not just one, but several. Although '95 is quicker that '98 it lacks in reliability and is prone to crashing. Also, like all versions of windows it leaks memory like a rusty tap; Try running graphics after having left it running for a day, the results are devastating! Finnally anyone who wants to connect to the internet should not even consider Windows '95 it's just to easy to hack. Of course Linux is the ultimate alternative, Red Hat 6.2 Proffessional is easy to get a hold of, but for the real beginner though...

...I have been admiring this mobile for quite a while before poppin into the local Vodaahphone shop and jumping in feet first. What I love about this mobile is that it just seems to have an elegance to it. Nothing is a hassle, the interface is slick and smooth without too much menu complications. It perfect for you none technical folk out their who perfer a simple mobile and who don't like trawling through all those Spanish, Japanese, instructions. The Nokia N95 is a high tech mobile which carry-on all those recognisable Nokia traits that any techno tortoise can follow. The graphics are delightful without going over the top, it reminds me of my first 3G phone. Yeah I do think the Nokia N95 is revolutionary... it is the next step towards 4G mobile phone media. The internal storage alone makes the N95 more capable of carrying digital data...
