Normally at the bottom of the screen, but something that can be moved, is the task bar. Windows 7 - The Best OS Yet!

Advantages: Great new toolbar, excellent personalisation, overall brilliant design
Disadvantages: Really similar to Vista.

...In July, I downloaded the Release Candidate of Windows 7 to evaluate the new operating system and I have to say it's the best version of Windows yet! It surpasses Vista in every way. Windows 7 is not available yet but I'm encouraging all Vista uers to upgrade in October as soon as the software is released. In the rest of my review I will outline some of the key features. Windows 7 - it makes Vista look like a beta

Advantages: smooth, quick, easy to install and use, pretty to look at, simplified for the masses
Disadvantages: Vista should have been like this - Microsoft robbed us!

...Windows 7 makes Windows Vista feel like a beta. That?s my philosophy. It was my philosophy before I bought Windows 7 and it?s still my philosophy now. That?s where the ?it looks like Vista? comments come from. Windows 7 is Vista without all the rubbish. Everything people moaned about in vista is gone (or improved) and 7 is more spangly and all singing and dancing. It looks better, runs more smoothly and is simple to use. ...I was using my friends computer which had Windows 95 which made me realise just how good and fast Windows 98 is in comparison with Windows 95. I definitely think that Microsoft are the bench mark in computer software. Windows 98 is evident of that. You can get Windows 98 for £75 or if you buy a new computer you can have it already installed. The good thing is that if you have a new printer, mouse etc. Instead of having to use extra discs to install them you can simple ‘Add’ new software. Generally with Windows 98 there is much more colour and animations like Desktop themes and you are given much more control the ‘Settings’ include everything you would want. You get all the accessories that came with Windows 95 like Notepad, calculator, the four basic games that were on Win95 they are on here...

Windows 7: Is what Microsoft is saying really true?

Advantages: Runs really fast, Some very good features, any decent machine can run it.
Disadvantages: The Price. It looks like vista and it really is just a brush up on the old OS

...Windows 7 has been said by Microsoft as being much improved and everyone would be happy with the end result. But is it really better, below is my review of a few sections which I believe is most important and compare it to older versions. Speed: 9/10 Much faster than Vista. To compare with the Vista OS, on Vista it took around 30 secs to 45 secs to boot up and log me in. Now on Windows 7 it takes 20 - 30 secs to boot up. Shut down is also so much faster. Vista = 15 secs... Windows 7 = 5 secs..... So there is a huge improvement. Also when running programs or browsing the internet you feel like this Operating System is very smooth and just does what you want (most of the time) Program Compatablilty: 8/10 Most Programs that run on Vista will run on Windows 7 (32-bit) very well. Nokia N95

Advantages: large screen

...and bright. The software, this is where the N95 excels over normal handsets, it runs a OS system called Symbian. Being a smartphone it falls into the same category as other handsets like HTC which use Windows Mobile as the prefered OS. Symbian is very different to the Windows based OS, having used both my opinion is that the Windows based OS is better and more useable. Windows mobile is more "fully" functional and will truely integrate into your PC windows based OS. Making contacts/e-mails/music & files more interchangeable and the connection between your PC and the device is almost seamless. You can install applications/games etc on the N95 too which is a nice feature. ...I recently purchased the Nokia N95 I have now had it for about two weeks, I haven't had a chance to use all the features, but have used quite a few and had a play around. So thought I would write a review and then update it as I try more and more of the features. The N95 is packed with features and this review could last for days if I explained them all.
