Windows 7 - The Best OS Yet!

Advantages: Great new toolbar, excellent personalisation, overall brilliant design

...In July, I downloaded the Release Candidate of Windows 7 to evaluate the new operating system and I have to say it's the best version of Windows yet! It surpasses Vista in every way. Advantages: smooth, quick, easy to install and use, pretty to look at, simplified for the masses

Windows 7: Is what Microsoft is saying really true?

Advantages: Runs really fast, Some very good features, any decent machine can run it.

Windows 7 - a great operating system.

Advantages: looks great, easy to use, nice new taskbar, high compatibility

...I recently upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate. I had not minded Windows Vista as much as other people; my computer has a 2.13GHz dual core processor and 4GB of RAM. Windows 7 doesn't actually seem to be any faster, but it has some better features and is overall easier to use. It took about 2 hours to upgrade, which isn't bad but it's not amazingly fast. It runs all of my programs that ran under Vista no problem, and some of my hardware is actually now supported that wasn't supported in Vista. I haven't found anything that doesn't work after upgrading. I still recommend that you run the "Windows 7 upgrade advisor" first just to make sure. The new taskbar looks a bit different, but don't be worried, you'll get used to it, and once you do you'll find out that it's a big improvement. Programs no longer have text, just...

...UPVC window frames; it really cuts through all the muck and leaves the frames looking like new. I use it on my front door which has an almost plastic like coating over the wood and it gets off hand marks etc really quickly and with a minimum of effort. The smell is unusual and I cannot really describe it other than saying it smells clean but very chemically. It isn't horrible though just not particularly 'nice'. A bottle costs around £1.35 but can also be found on offer a lot which makes it better value. Frankly I think it is easily worth the price as it really is the best window/glass cleaner I have found. A bottle lasts quite a while too, I clean my windows weekly and a bottle lasts me about 6 weeks....
