...~~The Windsor Inn~~ ~~Booking~~ A girls holiday was in order and Cork seemed like the perfect location as it was slightly cheaper than Dublin but there was still lots to do. After trailing through many search websites we finally came across The Windsor Inn hotel. So this is where our problems began. We booked the hotel through booking.com and got to the end of the whole confirmation part and paid when a pop-up came along saying the room we'd paid for was not available. I tried contacting booking.com who confirmed that no payment had been made, I even phoned my credit card company to make sure. So an hour later we'd booked another hotel and I went to my emails and low and behold I found that I had confirmation of the Windsor Inn saying that we did have the room. Cost: Cons: Well lets be honest its not cheap: 1 Day Adult Ticket (16-59 yrs) £33.30 1 Day Child Ticket (3-15 yrs) £25.20 1 Day Senior Ticket (60+ yrs) £25.20 So for a typical family of 4 its over £100. Pros: The upside is that they must know its expensive because you can find find reductions in the ticket price all over the place. we go ours from a box of Walkers Crisps. Legoland Windsor

Advantages: Many different attractions which include unique sculptures made from LEGO
Disadvantages: A day is not really enough to explore the whole park.

...Lego Land Windsor What can I say, I went here on a school trip with my daughter, we travelled via coach which took around 1 ½ hours to get there. My personally opinion this is too long for children to be on a coach, especially 5/6 year olds. But this was more to do with the school, and not the place. Also this hinders you as you do not have as much time to explore the park. Now the park itself has plenty of Attractions from towns and building built entirely form LEGO, to rides. The most amazing thing about the park is the Lego and what can be achieved with time effort and plenty of money. Throughout the Park are man made sculptures made form LEGO, including a girl and boy which are situated outside the toilets. These were a great idea as the children new exactly which toilet to go to. ...or the website is wrong ! ~~~ Getting There ~~~ As I live in Newbury, Berkshire, getting to Legoland was very easy - hop onto the M4 and leave at junction 6 heading towards Windsor. Legoland is clearly signposted from the M4 and if I can find it then anybody can (I still get lost going to my mum's house). If you take the train then you can travel direct to Windsor and then catch one of the regular buses from the station straight to the park. The road system within the park has a speed limit of 20mph which is blatently ignored by some people who obviously consider themselves such good drivers that they can safely stop if a young child runs out in front of them, no matter what speed they are doing. Windsor. Well Worth Visiting

Advantages: Royal town, Hstory. Culture. Great Tea Rooms,
Disadvantages: Very touristy. Gets Crowded in the Peak Season

Legoland Windsor - Great family day out

Advantages: Plenty of rides for the whole family to go on together/shoes+special events
Disadvantages: You could end up spending a fortune on top of the entrance price

...First things first-Where is Legoland and how do you get there? Legoland in England is situated in windsor a very lovely part of England. We( My son my friend and I )travelled here by car ,Legoland is on the B3022 windsor/Ascot road just 2 miles from windsor town centre.Legoland is within easy reach via the M25 and is clearly sign posted from M3 (JUNCTION 3) m4(junction 6) and all approaches. Parking is free although if you want to be SUPER CLOSE to the park you can pay starting from £5.00 (personally I thought the standard car park was close enough-less then 5 mins walk away-Don't forget where you leave your car!!). Steer clear of Windsor Life - voted the worst in paying out

Disadvantages: Too many to list. They steal your money. Non-existent complaints procedure.

...Windsor Life has just been voted the worst for not paying out annuities in new research published by 'Which' (June 2009). They were also slammed as 'duplicitous' by David Blunkett for not paying out money due to a penniless widow (May 2009). It is clear why they are slow in paying out. They hold on to your money to make money for themselves. That is stealing. I personally have had very bad experiences with Windsor Life. They delayed in paying out my endowment policy and really screwed up my plans. Their projected forecasts are also nothing like their final payment - be prepared to let them run away with thousands of pounds of your hard earned money to pay bonuses to their staff. Unfortunately Windsor Life have taken over many old endowment policies. Their customers never chose them in the first place but they are saddled with them...
