Labtec Wireless Optical Mouse.
Advantages: No more wires.
Disadvantages: Eats the batteries.
....
and the optical-tracking technology provides smooth cursor movement on almost all surfaces and eliminates the hassles of mouse pad and cleaning old-fashioned mouse balls.
The only downside to being wireless is that it takes batteries and with this one there is no off switch on the mouse,
so when not using my computer I remove the batteries..... and have noticed by doing this the batteries do last longer, around 3 weeks for me with average usage.
Overall this is a nice and neat looking little mouse and I prefer this much better than my old corded one, although I still have the old one just in case I run out of batteries when I dont have any !
As this was a gift I'm not sure of the price, but have seen it as low as £9.00 online.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Receiver
Batteries
Cordless Mouse
Small PS/2 Receiver and extension cable
Two AA Batteries...

Advent wireless optical mouse.
Advantages: fast, responsive
Disadvantages: poor battery life, sometimes needs resetting
...We purchased this mouse in a sale at the behemoth store that i loath with a passion that is "PC world".
What you get in the package is a mouse, charger pod which acts as the receiving unit, power lead (this is for charging purposes only does not affect the performance of the mouse if unpluged) USB lead a USB to PS2 converter and a set of rechargeable batteries.
The mouse is easy to set up by following the enclosed instructions, you have to charge up the batteries first before use. The charger pod/receiving sits on your desk, the mouse fits snuggley into the pod when you need the batteries rechaarging. If you have been using a cable mouse you will notice the difference in speed the mouse is very responsive!! so you may need to alter the settings for your mouse in the control panel. There are 2 lights on the front of the pod 1...

Genius Wireless USB Keyboard and Optical Mouse
Advantages: Wireless, Relativly cheap, Durable, Initially get rechargeable batteries
Disadvantages: Need to eventually buy new batteries, Problems with low power.
...essential in all modern mice. It has an optical laser so can be used on any surface.
Both the keyboard and the mouse are wireless and their signal is picked up by a smart receiver come battery charger. The feature of being wireless is great for people who use spaces for multiple purposes such as a written work/study area as well as for using a PC. It plugs into a standard USB A slot. The box comes with 6 rechargeable AA batteries, user manual and a driver CD.
The rechargeable batteries are a great addition to the pack however I found after a few months of use they did not hold the charge as well and did not last. This means eventually you will be using regular batteries which is obviously more expensive than using wired keyboard and mouse equivalents.
When the battery power in either the mouse or keyboard gets low it can lead to...

Man not mouse... Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse
Advantages: Wireless, Optical, Coverage
Disadvantages: none spotted to date
...I thought it was about time I reviewed the item I probably use more often than most - my mouse!
Product Overview:
As the product title implies it is a wireless, optical and Microsoft. Some more details bar the obvious to help you may be the following:
* Scroll Wheel
* Left/Right Handed
* Customisable buttons
* PC/Mac
* USB or PS/2
I think there are a few colours to choose from. I've got blue/silver and I think there is red/silver and white as another option (but don't hold me to that)
To my knowledge 'Special Edition' is merely colour editions because I didn't notice anything on the packaging to tell otherwise (although as is usual with my new purchases they are out of the wrapper rapid and into use before thought is given!)
Responsiveness:
I have found that however you choose to set this product up, so long as...

Microsoft wireless mouse & keyboard
Advantages: looks smart, easy to install & use, responsive
Disadvantages: batteries wear out quickly
...I purchased this wireless mouse and keyboard set when I got a new computer as I thought it would look smarter and more modern than the wire mouse and keyboard that came with it. I chose this set as I felt that Microsoft had a good reputation and, at £30, this represented good value for money.
This was easy to connect up with the computer, just a simple plug in to the front of the box. That was all that was required to install. The mouse and keyboard each take two batteries. I find that the batteries wear down really quickly. This is frustrating, especially when typing where letters can be missed out in your work, or quite often, the space bar won't function. The batteries in the mouse wear out especially quickly.
Having said that, this is the only flaw I can find with the product. The keyboard is comfortable to type...

Targus Wireless Optical 5 Button Mouse
Advantages: very good charge time, good software, easy to install
Disadvantages: only one.........wish it had a metal shell
...Unlike other optical wireless Mice that require batteries, this mouse does not, it charges whilst you are not using it. It ahs its own cradle, so it charges via the computers? USB slot, saving you money on batteries.
I brought this mouse after looking for an optical mouse that actually works, and properly. It was around £29.99; I brought it from Amazon in the end as it was easier to buy from there. Looking at other optical mice made me think, have I made the right decision?
Well, fortunately, I had. I just plugged the mouse straight inot the computers? USB slot and I worked. There was an extra cd for drivers, needed by older operating systems and hardware; this cd contained also some software for the extra buttons, like the scroller.
The nice looking cradle site by the side of my computer, waiting for me insert the mouse to lay...

Wireless Optical Mouse
Advantages: Never loses connection, comfortable to use
Disadvantages: Wire from board sometimes gets in the way
...What is it?
The A4Tech batteryFREE Wireless Optical Mouse is a wireless mouse that runs on a board. This board interacts with a computer via its wire. The board is optical and when the mouse is placed on it, they connect optically, allowing the mouse to work.
Looks:
The mouse and board look average, and are nothing spectacular. The board is silvery greay, with a black base and thick edge at the top. The logo 'A4TECH' is on the head of the board, the mouse and the bottom corner of the board. The wire is thin and black.
The mouse itself is mainly black, with a transparent silver band running in a U shape around its edge. On top of the mouse there is a line of this same trasnparent silver plastic, where the gap between your index and middle finger lies. In the centre of this strip there is a white opaque plastic scroll button...

AN EXCELLENT OPTICAL MOUSE
Advantages: Great response, no ball to get dirty, wheel is invaluable
Disadvantages: A bit on the pricey side
...mats go ? there are some excellent deigns out there!) One point to remember, however, is that the mouse doesn?t work on shiny or glossy surface.
The mouse is fine for both right and left handed users; in fact I actually trained myself to use the mouse in my left hand with the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. This is so that I have my right hand free to write things down (this is actually very useful when you need to take down notes from a web site, for example).
The mouse can connect to the standard PS/2 socket, and it also has a USB connection if you would prefer. One thing I should mention at this point is that if you use the PS/2 connection then the bright red light that is part of the optical sensor stays on all of the time, even if your computer is shut down. This can be annoying if you?re computer is in the same room that you...

Mouse with long battery life.
Advantages: Comfortable and good looking
Disadvantages: None
...of batteries less if i use one of the cheaper brands.
The range it works at varies on the amount of battery power left but it is certainly 8 foot or more.
I use a corded keyboard so not sure if there would be interference if 2 wirelss products were being used at once.
It fits nicely into your hand and would be suitable for both a left or right handed person.
My version is a light blue and clear colour but i believe other versions are available.
Being optical it can be used without a mouse mat but i prefer to use one.
The sensitivity can be alter via the software or using the PC's in built software as it is recognised as soon as you plug the USB cable into the computer. It reacts quickly so would also be good for game players too.
I would recommend this mouse as i have had no problems with it so far in all the years i have owned it. Im...

optical mouse, the future
Advantages: cheap, reliable
Disadvantages: large, not good looking
...of mouse’s but honestly at the time I was just looking for something really cheap to use as my other mouse had recently broke.
Id never actually owned an optical mouse before either, and I really cant believe how much better they are, seriously iv you’ve not got an optical mouse yet, you must get one. It never jams, which must be the best thing ever and there really cheap too.
This one has 2 buttons and a click wheel, which if you press it is actually another button.
Its just really simple, easy to use and its never let me down after over 6 months, so it really is reliable.
Like I say, if your not a current owner of an optical mouse then defiantly get one, you might want to go for one which looks better than this, but its lasted me and it was cheap so it cant be that bad....
