I Use a Witch Doctor!
Advantages: Fast relief for itching
Disadvantages: The smell
...I've been using Witch Doctor Gel for a few years now to treat minor skin irritations; I've always found it to be very effective and fast acting.
A Bit About Witch Hazel
Witch Hazel is a plant with quite unusual looking flowers with long, thin, yellow petals. The flowers and fruit of the plant both blossom at the same time. It is grown in America and has been used for many years for its medicinal properties. Originally used by the American Indians the whole plant was used from the bark and twigs to leaves and flowers, being used for such ailments as skin ulcers, sores and tumours, aching muscles, cuts, bruises and insect bites.
Available in a 35g tube Witch Doctor comes in a pale blue, clear gel. Made from a combination of witch hazel extract (81.5%), Ethanol, Propylene Glycol, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Disodium Edetate...

Boots tea tree and witch hazel foaming face wash - foaming freshn
Advantages: Pump action dispenser
Disadvantages: The price may be too expensive for some people
...I have never tried Boots own brand tea tree and witch hazel products before so I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product. I Cycle to and from work every day and it can become very sweaty and when you are run down as well it is prime time for me to have break out. I decided to switch to using a tea tree and witch hazel product to see if it would help clear my complexion. I regularly shop at boots to try and build my points up and they tend to do some good deals. It was nice to see that boots have a wide selection of products that use tea tree and witch hazel. I felt I was a Kid in a candy shop trying to decide which product was best for me.
At the moment Boots currently have an offer on there tea tree and witch hazel product which is 2 for £5.00. This is quite a good deal as all of the products are reasonable...

WICKED WITCH ZAPS ZITS
Advantages: all kinds of uses, topical antisceptic, inexpensive, really works well
Disadvantages: none
...Witch Hazel Gel is one of those things that you come across one day and think – “I wish I’d discovered this years ago”
It does not have the huge advertising campaign of the likes of Clearasil, Biactol and the rest, but it REALLY does do the trick if you or your children suffer from spots and blemishes.
You know what it’s like, we’ve all been through it. Zits all over your face, just like a moonscape or a volcanic eruption. Usually just before that big date! OK, So I cannot tell you that this is a magic remedy that you smother onto your face and five minutes later….yippeeee all my spots have gone! There is NO SUCH PRODUCT – Clearasil, Biactol, Garlic Vinaigrette – NOTHING WILL DO IT.
I have had facial eruptions throughout my teenage years and at different times during manhood...

Its Not Witch-craft its Witch hazel..
Advantages: Keeps skin fresh all day..
Disadvantages: Can be a little pricey
...'Witch' is a brand of facial skincare products that uses witch hazel as an aid to soothing and preventing break outs.. Which can be found in Superdrug, Boots and the majority of cosmetic stores and supermarkets. It is a varied price product, with offers that vary from shop to shop, throughout the month the majority of stores have an offer on these products. As in the reality having to spend over five pound on even a stick to help treat spots is a little expensive for a tight budget. So as we all do.. Take advantage of the offers in store.. I got my products on a two of £4.99 offer in Superdrug?
What is witch hazel?
Witch hazel is a natural plant extract that is the main soothing ingredient in 'Witch' facial skin care products.
The botanical name for witch hazel is 'hamamelis virginiana,' taken from the Greek words...

Witch Doctor
Advantages: Highly versatile and highly effective
Disadvantages: Can be a tad sticky when applied
...As Ciao doesn't have a picture to go with this item, I'm going to start off by clarifying that I'm reviewing Witch Doctor Gel, which comes in a 35ml blue squeezy tube with the Witch brand logo and a white flip-top cap. It contains 81.5% liquid witch hazel extract in a pale blue gel and, as the bottle says, is an antiseptic and astringent.
I've been using Witch Doctor for most of my life and it has proven to be the most versatile products I own. I first started using it years ago when I lived in Spain and was constantly being plagued by mosquitos. The mozzies seemed to prefer my blood over that of my parents, and I would at times get bitten as many as 10 times during one night - JOY!! I would use Witch Doctor Gel to soothe the bites, and if I was lucky enough to apply some almost as soon as I'd been bitten it'd almost completely get...

Hazel has nuts
Advantages: good tree
Disadvantages: None
...Hazel, after writing about pussy willow I really had to write about Hazel.
The Hazel species of tree s are one I really like.
The hazel (Corylus avellana) is a member of the Birch tree family Betulaceae . There are at least 15 Hazel species. It grows in Britain and throughout Europe also Russia, morocco, Algeria, Turkey, and Iran .The Hazel tree is very common in Scotland.
The reason I love the hazel is because of its catkins in February. These adorn the branches before its leaves and leaves of many other trees too. A twig with catkins on looks lovely in a flower arrangement with daffodils, a real spring decoration.
The Hazel tree grows to 10 meters, but on a lot of land it does not reach that height.
Hazel trees can often be thought as more of a bush than a tree .Hazel will grow in the hedgerow in copses and under oak trees it...

A Witches Tree of Cleansing
Advantages: Please see review

...Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Cleansing and Toning
My skin is ever changing, especially with pregnancy hormones playing havoc with my skin (Pregnancy makes the skin soft and blooming? Think again, more Blooming annoying!), though there is one thing that seems to keep coming back no matter what I try and that is blemishes and spots. Although I don't suffer bad acne, spots do still appear quite often and become a social annoyance to me, so what to do?
In my hunt for yet another product to try, I came across Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel cleansing and toning lotion. Straight away I was interested. Why? Well two reasons really, the first being that I have used tea tree based products before and have never been disappointed, and the second reason is, forget pregnancy food cravings, for the past couple of months I have been craving...

The powers of witch...
Advantages: Not tested on animals, seems to work, low price
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...looking at all the different beauty products even though I didn't need any of them, I just wanted them because they looked so nice in the shop!
I saw this little spot stick for only £2.45 and as I do have a few spots, even though I eat healthily and drink lots of water, I decided I'd get this to try and get rid of them.
How does it work and what does it do?
On the box, the witch stick claims to "The ultimate in blemish control, Witch stick helps to break down excess oils and fights the bacteria that cause spots".
It apparently targets the spot and helps dry imperfections.
The stick contains witch hazel which I have used many times when I have had a bruise, I always find it works really well! Even though it doesn't smell very nice, I think witch hazel is great!
What is in the witch stick?
The ingredients printed...

a product with several uses
Advantages: versatility, cooling, antiseptic,
Disadvantages: bit expensive
...A little tube of witch gel...doesn't look much but has several uses, and can come in very handy.
I first came across this product when suffering an allergic reaction to an insect bite, it was incredibly itchy and swollen. My doctor recommended witch hazel, saying that any antihistamine creams may actually make the problem worse, and so when I got home, I looked in my mum's cupboard and found a tube of witch gel, the main ingredient of this being witch hazel. So I put it on the bite and it gave me instant relief, it was cooling and did help to relieve the itching, even more importantly, its antiseptic properties helped to prevent any infection setting in. I would therefore recommend this product to anyone who suffers from allergic reactions, it's only a little tube, so when you go out on a hot summers day, it's easy to fit in your...
