...Colgate is undoubtedly one of the most established brands of toothpaste in the UK and indeed worldwide. But did you know the company is 200 years old? No neither did I - just take a look at their website if you don't believe me! When it comes to toothpaste, I am loyal to two main brands - Aquafresh and Colgate. I tend to buy several tubes of whichever one happens to be on offer when I go shopping. My latest purchase was two tubes of Colgate Oxygen for £3 from Tesco - a saving of 88p. I had not bought this particular variety before, but was intrigued to find out how well it fared compared to my usual Aquafresh toothpaste. Colgate Oxygen toothpaste comes in a standard sized box, with the Colgate logo embossed across the front. To the right of this are the words 'Oxygen Pure Freshness' and in the background are lots of small blue bubbles...

A Mouthful of Oxygen?!

Advantages: Good taste and totally freshens mouth!
Disadvantages: More expensive than other brands.

It was the Colgate comapny that first produced 'toothpaste in a tube' (c1896), previous to that it was kept in a jar, no doubt next to their false teeth lol. ...COLGATE OXYGEN TOOTHPASTE We popped a new toothpaste in our trolley last month, it was Colgate 'Oxygen' toothpaste, and they proudly told me that I would have "a clean, fresh mouth, like a fresh of breath air"!! Did it?? APPEARANCE The 100ml tube came in a cardboard box (why do they do that, it seems a complete waste and it is hardly environmentally friendly); the box is pale blue with a big red Colgate logo and a little pile of bubbles!! ...dermalogica active moist is recommended for skin prone to oiliness and is a lightweight lotion which provides daily moisture protection to combat surface dehydration. It contains silk amino acids, and natural botanicals of lemon, cucumber and burdock with no artificial colour or fragrance. It comes in a slim white tube - i do hate pot moisturisers they seem so unhygienic so this was great in that respect and it really lasts for ages despite the steep prices dermalogica products do work out to be quite economical over a long period. Always get your skin mapped by a dermalogica professional before purchasing to avoid all that trial and error when you start using a new regime.
