Butterfly wand

...I love playing dress up with my little girl and I try to collect things now and again that I find that will be perfect for her dress up box. That includes ribbons and bits from presents she receives, some old hats that I don't wear any more and when I saw this wand in The Early Learning Centre last year I had to get her one. I actually went looking for the wand for a friend. I had asked two of my girlfriend sot be godmother to my little girl when she was christened but because they were not christened themselves they couldn't undertake that role due to the church's rules so I still wanted to get them a present to say thank you. As they now wanted to be known as Fairy Godmothers to my little girl I thought a little wand as a bit of a joke present would be funny so I bought them one each of these too. Review of Butterfly Wand

It's a bubble wand for mummy!

Advantages: Fun, easy to use for older children (me, for example), big bubbles
Disadvantages: None!

...Up until recently, I never knew Early Learning Centre had a shop on Amazon, this has been a fantastic discovery as the stuff on sale from the shop is eligible for free super saver delivery. This is a double positive for me as I can use my Amazon vouchers on the occasional treat for my daughter and get ELC toys without having to pay for delivery or driving the 40 minutes to our nearest store. One of the purchases I made was this bubble wand. I hadn?t really known about bubble wands until last summer, so I would imagine they are relatively new on the market. They consist of a long tube, the lid of this tube also acts as the handle for the bubble wand. Simple unscrew the lid and pull out the long flexible plastic wand and you are good to go. Review of ELC Bubble Wand

Curling wand

Advantages: Nice curls, cheap
Disadvantages: A bit fiddly

...I am quite funny when it comes to my hair. I straighten it every morning but then once it starts to get a bit unruly and in need of a cut I put curls in it because I think it looks better with a bit of volume and bounce. As I don't need to curl it all the time I just bought a cheap Babyliss Curling wand as I didn't want to spend too much money and I didn't really want a complicated curling system with rollers and different barrels etc. This curler took a bit of getting used to when I first used it. Unfortunately and I didn't realise this when I bought it, it doesn't have a clamp which I have had on other curling irons. The clamp helps to effectively clamp the hair and then allow you to twist the hair around the wand easily.
