The Quad 34 - still a good'n.

...The Quad 34 is a preamplifier, also known as a control unit. It doesn't actually do much amplifying, as that is done by the power amp. The 34 first appeared in 1981, and matches the 405 power amp and FM4 tuner. It was the second preamp in the Quad series '4', the other being the larger 44. The 34 has fewer interchangeable modules than the 44. With the 44, all of the inputs at the rear (for radio, aux, disc etc) were replaceable. With the 34, only the disc (turntable) input is swappable. This is so that different turntable cartridges (mm, mc) can be accomodated. It may be confusing to call the turntable input 'disc', but this was before the appearance of CDs. Hotpoint Aquarius WMA 32 -hot machine.

Advantages: Good ,reliable machine .
Disadvantages: No major disadvantages.

The WMA 33 also has a variable temperature control but I don't think you really need that as you choose the cycle which sets the temperature at a suitable level in the first place. Mowing The Lawn Just Became Enjoyable With The Bosch Rotak 34

Advantages: Easy to use. Cuts brilliantly.
Disadvantages: Like most electric mowers - the cable, but there's not really a way around that!

...The hotpoint wma30 is generally an easy to use, reliable washing machine. You simply put in the clothes, add the detergent, turn the letter coded dial, then press start. Each different type of wash is given a letter and these are clearly labeled on the front of the washing machine, so it couldn't really get any simpler. In terms of wash time, well each cycle lasts about an hour and a half but it really does depend on what wash type you have it on. The washer speed is 1000rpm, which is good for a washing machine and you can use the time saver option, which reduces the time by quite a lot. The washing machine doesn't actually have a self dry facility like some of the more up-to-date models but the spin it does at the end of a cycle is so powerful, a lot of the smaller items come out dry anyway! Disadvantages: not a long book - would have loved it to have been longer

...I had read Adrian Mole when I was younger but couldnt really remember it so I decided to give it another go. especially when I realised there are other books in the series. I am so glad I did as there are things in the book that I dont think I would have "got" as a child. He has got to be one of the funniest characters I have ever read about in a a fiction book. He is innocent and wise, observant and obsessed with himself, dumb and a genius. Adrian lets the reader peep into his world through his diary. Aged 13 3/4 he strongly feels he is a 'misunderstood intellectual' and spends most of his time reading.
