Before accepting the offer to go Worcester I travelled to it to investigate it and to see if it was for me. After travelling around some of the other universitys that I got into I came to the conclusion that this one was more for me conpared to any of the others. Size ********* I've found that its small which makes it quaint in my eyes and from my opinion however I find a city that is huge can be a little too big and can appear scary and overwhelming at times. Controls on worcester bosch greenstar 30Si combi central heating

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: Controls not included in guarantee

...Be warned- I had the above boiler installed sept.2008- guaranteed for 5 years- the boiler has been repaired twice in less than 6 months- now however now . it is the controls that are not working - contacted worcester bosch- and they informed me THEY DO NOT GUARANTEEE THE CONTROLS- these do not come under the guarantee- was told to contact the installer- Delta ne. Contacted them -after waiting for a week with no response-contacted them again and was informed by the installer- he has no intention of coming - it was up to me to contact SIEMENS. The worcester bosch engineer that came - did isolate the controls so we can manually turn the heating on and off-. Now I have a central heating system- that is manually controlled- . DELTA NE did guarantee a 5 year parts and labour warranty- but it seems this is not worth the paper it is written...

Worcester / Bosch Combi Boiler Greenstar 30CDi

Advantages: Excellent energy efficiency and money savings over older versions
Disadvantages: Time lag to generate hot water on economy mode

...My wife & I decided to research our required product before going ahead with the installation. We spent a while doing this to ensure we got exactly what we wanted and more to the point what we required for the house we had just purchased. After looking at many manufactures websites and reviews on this and other sites and in conultation with the Corgi registered plumber, who we had chosen to do the installation, we decided on the Worcester / Bosch Greenstar Condensing combi 30CDi. The Actual installation took two days but his also included having all our radiators fitted with Thermostatic valves for even better efficiency, the removal of the old hot water storage sytem and also the removal of the cold water stoarge sytem from the loft space. Poppins, Foregate, Worcester, a step back in time

Advantages: Fantastic nostalgic decor and food
Disadvantages: Bit tawdry and tired

The breakfast was a real artery clogger, fried egg, bacon and sausage, no doubt cooked in lard, baked beans, fried tomato, white bread toast and a portion of real butter, washed down with a cup of tea so strong (as my nan would say) that a mouse could trot across the surface. All served on an oval white plate which sat on the formica topped table next to the glass salt and pepper cruets. All for £3.60. And to top that, a view onto the busy street beyond, just watching the worls go by. Fantastic. ...Worcester Calor Centre are based at Sherriff Street Worcester (the old railway yards) and is on the corner with Tolladine Road. It is entered by the main entrance to Sherriff Street complex, the one nearer the station with RKR Malmoco and Ericsons, rather than the tile place. It is in a sealed off compound with a half barrier, and the Autogas pump is in with all the bottle storage and lorry park. It is the cheapest in Worcester normally and does have price wars with New Road filling station. The pump is behind a barrier which you have to park close to as the pipe is not over long, I usually reverse in until the reversing sensors beep fast and lean over the barrier to fit the filler. Battle of Worcester reenactment - update

Advantages: Good fun for all of the family
Disadvantages: A bit costly but profits to charity

...Having attended the Battle re-enactment and banquet on Saturday plus the dedication of the scottish memorial on Sunday I felt I should update my review - extra comments are at the bottom. The up and coming Battle re-enactment looks like its going to be great fun for all. It is the 350th Anniversary of the Battle of Worcester and so to celebrate the Sealed Knot have been asked to do a reconstruction of the battle. It all happens between 28th August and 3rd September. The main events are the battle re-constructions which take place on 1st and 2nd September from 2.30-4.00pm as well as the caledonian banquet at 7.30pm on 1st September, the Ox and Pig roast at 7.00pm on 31st August and the dedication of the Scottish memorial at 11am on 2nd September. Worcester Highflow 400 RSF

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: The most unreliable boiler I have ever owned

...I bought TWO Worcester Highflow 400 RSF boilers installed in two rented properties. These boilers are the most unreliable boliers I have ever come across. Both are equally bad! One house had a completely new plumbing system and was properly flushed before the boiler was connected. The other house had an older plumbing system (also flushed). Problems started withing months. Bosch initially did some repairs under warrantee and since then I have used my really experienced independent plumber who has no problems keeping my other boilers other houses going reliably! In four years I have had about 20 breakdowns on both of these boilers which strongly suggests there are fundamental design problems. Both boilers have had similar breakdowns withing weeks of months or each other (ie usually stuck diverter valves etc). I...

...The Worcester Greenstar boilers are probably the most overrated boilers on the market. Often people argue that the boilers are very good quality German boilers, in reality these boilers are not German but are actually made Worcester, UK! I would not describe these boilers as "rubbish"or "unreliable" but rather over hyped and not worth how much there are. Another thing about these boilers is that if you really wanted to get this boiler you would have to get the top of the range model to make your purchase worth it. The problem is that the standard and budget models are often not of the best quality. (i,Si and Junior ranges). Durability: The boilers are not the most flimsy but there are flimsy for their price; the lid of the controls is made of plastic which will eventually break and fall off, the key that is used to re pressurize...
