Working from Home
Advantages: Flexible hours, no commuting on trains and buses, work around family commitments.
Disadvantages: Self discipline requiried, spend a lot of time on your own, no guarantee of regualar income.
...I started working from home a few years ago so I've trawled through the websites looking for home working opportunities. I never gave a second thought to companies that asked for a registration fee or money upfront to offer me work. Instead I went for well known, established firms.
I've been working as a mystery shopper for the last six years and enjoy it so much that I don't think I'd ever give it up! I must admit that unless you join lots of agencies you won't get a decent income from this type of work but you will get some extra cash and lots of free items, food and drink. Jobs offered are on a wide scale and include fast food outlets, electrical high street shops, mobile phone shops, retail outlets, pubs and bars, fitness centres, cinemas, hotels and more. I have enjoyed complimentary CD's, software, small electrical items...

WORK FROM HOME REVIEW MUSIC £ JOBS
Advantages: EASY TO USE, MAKE MONEY
Disadvantages: A LOT OF TIME NEEDS TO BE SPENT TO EARN BIG BUCKS
...I have tried many working from home ideas rangeing from taking part in surveys to selling products.
There are so many ways you can make an extra penny or two but the reality is, thats all you make.
There are no quick fire ways of becoming a millionaire but there are a few ways you can earn a couple of hundred quid in a month.
The best way I found is not to focus on one working from home job but to do as many as you can, this does take up a lot of your time however.
One of the best and most enjoyable way is to review new music, The site www.slicethepie.com allows you to listen to 60secs of a song then write a review and get paid, you need to review 50songs before you start earning 3p a song then around 150songs til your earning 7-10p a song. You can also invest in new artists and if they become famous you will receive a % of their...

How To Make Money Working From Home On The Net
Advantages: The traditional workplace is shrinking fast!
Disadvantages: You have to place large bets to make good profits
...Sports Arbitrage
Hi. The internet. It?s transformed our lives, right? Whereas we all used to troll off semi-comatose to squash ourselves onto the tube, train or bus, commuting to what seemed like a life sentence of tedious office routine, now we can all make money from home using the internet. It?s a revolution. We can be home to pick up after our kids, to wipe their noses and switch on Tracey Beaker ? office politics, crushes and Christmas parties are a thing of the past.
Right? Well, I?ve been trawling the net for bona-fide home-working opportunities for, let?s say? too long. Three thousand years, maybe. It?s hard to work out which schemes are genuine so I thought it might be kind of useful to start sharing some thoughts about these schemes.
First, what is 'sports arbitrage'? It?s a fancy word for betting. Its derivation is...

Do your homework before you work at home
Advantages: flexible, family friendly and on the increase
Disadvantages: need to think it all through carefully first
...This isn’t an opinion about different ways you can make lots of money, but instead intends to look at the actual situation of working from your home, as opposed to some other place.
I started working from home nearly a year ago, after the birth of my daughter made me rethink my priorities. Not working wasn’t an option, and if I had returned to my then employer I would have had to put a 6 month old in a creche for about 9 hours a day, a prospect that I found unthinkable. I felt that I was incredibly lucky to find a job that enabled me to work full time from my own home.
I had to sell the idea to my new employer, which meant thinking through a lot of the practicalities well in advance. I am developing a new business for my employer which is a great incentive to me to succeed, but in some ways meant that my boss could...

Work from Home and get Ripped off
Advantages: At the moment, none
Disadvantages: You get ripped off
...I am a married woman due to have a baby in the next few weeks, I have given up a job as a soldier to become a full time mum.
I have tried everything to try and find a home based job, but I have had no luck at all.
Most of the companies I have written to or contacted by phone are saying that I have to pay them so much money before I can even start working for them.
So thats what I did, I sent one company the money they were asking for, I received a letter confirming receipt of the money and that I would here from them in the very near furure. But did I? No, I have heard nothing. I tried contacted the company and I heard nothing from them.
I am unable to name the companies as I am unable to remember them, but I have tried a few. The companies that are from far away from the furthest location seem to be the worst...

Google - Website raters
Advantages: Work when and where I want
Disadvantages: There are few, maybe motivation. Oh and porn
...Ok for the past 6-7 months I have been a website reviewer for Google (Although I am officially employed by Lionbridge Technologies based in the US) I get paid on an hourly basis and this is pretty much how many of my days are. I get up at 7AM (not due to work commitments but simply because I am a morning person) After the shower and shave (which some forget to do once they start working from home with no real interaction) I go for a stroll to the shops for my morning paper. At about 9AM I start work (which I will go into shortly) and usually finish at about 11AM for lunch. After lunch I go out and enjoy the afternoon sun (though we don't get a lot in Manchester) maybe go shopping or sit in a pub garden. I will usually return home about 6PM and start work again, working right through until 11ish. I can quite easily do this 7 days a week...

All work and no pay...
Advantages: Flexible Hours, Comfortable Working Environment
Disadvantages: Needs a lot of self discipline
...-mails), Obvious Ponzi schemes (like 12 Daily Pro), E-books, Blog Blasters, to name but a few.
All of these schemes have one thing in common, you have to promote them in some way, and if you are not prepared to pay out for some form of advertising or other, they are not going to earn you a penny.
Some years ago, I set up a website - www.how2earn.info - on which I listed several of the methods for earning money which I had found worked - provided you are are prepared to invest your time and effort in setting them up.
The first thing I would say, is that it is better to have at least ten different sources of potential income running at any one time.
The second, and perhaps the most important thing I would say, is never, never, pay anyone to join in a potential income program, if you do you will probably lose your money. There is absolutely no...

No One's Decision But Yours! (Working Mums vs. Stay at Home Mums)
Advantages: Wider horizons for mum and financial independence in working.
Disadvantages: Women can feel trapped at home.
...Staying at home or going to work as mums-this is probably one of the most difficult decisions many of us have to make, and there are no right answers. I want to talk about this from the perspective of a mum who has brought up two sons and two daughters, the youngest of whom is now 17.
In the 1950's this was never really the massive issue it has become today. Women in many cases just expected to be at home raising children, and of course caring for the home. The choices for child care were limited, and for many it was a dream to become a mum and a housewife. I remember vividly being a bridesmaid for my cousin when he married in the early 70s. His wife was thrilled by the thought of a future caring for a home and a family, she had been buying groceries weekly and storing them under her bed. I'll never forget her excitement when she pulled...

My new career
Advantages: Freedom to work as and when I feel able
Disadvantages: Loss of interaction with office colleagues
....
The lowest I ever earned for a week was £5.72 and the highest was £15.80, but it is usually around the £9 mark.
As you obviously know I also work on the Internet. I have been a member of both Ciao and Dooyoo for round about 9 months now and have enjoyed the work that I have put into both sites. I have also made a lot of friends and this has been a lifeline to me. I have been used to working in an office for 30 years and suddenly there I was on my own all day at home. I don’t have a problem with being alone and rarely get bored but I did begin to miss the interaction with other people. I have now found this at Ciao and Dooyoo together with a bit of extra cash. I have so far earned £150 in cash and £50 worth of High Street vouchers from Dooyoo and £186 from Ciao.
I also do other work on the Internet. I work for a site called Visitor...

No Christmas Party Shenanigans
Advantages: no commuting, convenience, you can set your own hours
Disadvantages: lack of contact with others, no jollies
...Working from Morgenhund Towers in the centre of Vienna has proved to be a very interesting experience, and although I have earned my keep for the last six months purely by sitting at my desk and translating, writing articles for magazines, evaluating software and sorting out sponsorship deals for various causes, I still long for an office job.
Let’s face it, whilst I don’t have hellish times commuting across a large city at rush-hour (I admit that Vienna’s rush-hour is not as bad as London’s) the fact that I only have to fall out of bed to hit the on switch of my computer and climb into the chair to be “at work” is not quite as great as it sounds.
Firstly, working from home is only possible thanks to the marvels of modern technology. I have a permanent net connection, which allows me to send...
