Embassy Suites

Advantages: Good service, and amenities
Disadvantages: A long way from anything

...Embassy Suites On a recent visit to California, I was booked into this hotel because it was close to places I had to visit for work. The hotel itself is only a short drive from the airport (it took about half an hour in a hire car, and not knowing where I was going) and is located in La Jolla which is apparently quite an affluent area, featuring banks and houses and hotels as well as restaurants and a rather nice shopping mall. It's easy to drive into the hotel and should you ask for it there is valet parking in the high rise car park, but I just parked round the back of the hotel. Once inside the hotel, check in was quick and efficient and I was immediately impressed with the well set out entrance lobby featuring some nice little touches such as plentiful flowers. The Other Side Of Nelly: Suit

Advantages: Great production
Disadvantages: Poor rhymes

..."Suit" is the second half of a double album by Nelly released in 2004. It has him work in his smoother form, with music which is more R&B-like, than suited to rap. This means that you have a choice with Nelly's music, whether you enjoy his grittier side, or his singing side, to then pick a CD to match your preference. 1. "Play It Off" To set the scene for this album, we get a massive collaboratiion by Nelly as he gets a chance to rp as Pharrell does the production and singing for him. Although their work rarely comes together, when it does, such as in "Flap Ya Wings" (off "Sweat"), it is always top-quality. The pair work together amazingly, and with the futuristic Neptunes beats, and Pharrell's great falsetto singing, it all came together nicely. **Four Stars** 2. It Works for me....sometimes....!

Advantages: Cheap. Good for buying presents.
Disadvantages: Sell a lot of titles you've never heard of....

...The Works is a discount bookstore which can be found on many high streets. I have browsed around a fair few discount bookstores, but have always found this store to be the best in it?s class. Overall, I tend to find that a lot of discount bookstores sell a lot of uninteresting titles, & books you?ve never heard of. The Works does also fall into this category, but seems to also sell more bestsellers than other stores (often current ones at that), covering a wide range of authors. Books are laid out according to genre & are for the most part stacked on shelves with the cover facing forwards, so that you can see at a glance what titles are in stock. The more popular fiction & bestsellers are laid out on tables at the front of the store, with reference books & childrens books being on shelves running down the sides & back of the store...

Unfortunately Oxford does not have many of these, The Works is about the only cheap shop there is ? though there are two or three of these (on in the Westgate Centre next to Sainsburys, one on Cornmarket Street and maybe one on the High Street). I don?t know how many branches there are nation wide; but I know there?s also a branch in Colchester, which is much the same. What do they sell? ...This review is on that good old British shop, known only to those of us who for some reason admit to going in there as The Works. It is one of those shops that you just like to either love and/ or hate, but sadly I hate it. The Works is one of those shops that sells off all the old 'rejects' from other places, and they stock everything from books to music to craft things. They sell everything at stupidly low prices, just really for the simple reason that no-one will buy them otherwise. Take foro example an encyclopaedia of the Royal Family that would normally retail at £20 or more in one shop, but take it and put it in the works - and you are looking at probably £3 or £4 for exactly the same thing. Anyway, if you are completely unaware of Nelly and his genre of music - then you sound like my dad! - then I will introduce him. Nelly is one of several hundred rappers, however he has been lucky finding success after releasing his album Country Grammar, since then he has released at least three other albums. Suit was released at the same time as another Nelly album, Sweat, this was an adventurous action releasing two albums at the same time and some people began to claim that Nelly was getting too cocky, but they were both successful.
