...OK, well everyone who suffered my week of Atkins with me will be pleased to know that I have found light at the end of what seemed at the time to be a very long tunnel! (Those who haven't and wish to extend their sympathies can have a read of my review on Atkins, where it is all described in glorious ... or gory-ous detail!) This light comes in the form of Slimming World, which I joined a few weeks ago and am frankly, happy to follow forever because this is the easiest diet I have ever done! I don't believe that 'this diet is good' and 'that diet is bad', I think it is probably a case that certain diets suit certain people, according to food likes and dislikes, constitution etc. This diet suits me, my likes and dislikes and my constitution and lifestyle. Exiles:Volume 2 A World Apart

Advantages: Even Better, X-men, world battles, what if
Disadvantages: addiction to series

...series, personally I like seeing the alternate universes and the alternate character development, some of the stories are better than others but as a whole series its a compelling and enjoyable read, there are a few storylines that develop over a longer period, and some of the short stories included are reliant on some background knowledge, but generally each book is a fairly self sufficient story, and they mostly conclude in each graphic novel (so do not panic buy them all - you can take you time!) <Spoiler Warning - Some Plot/Story details> A world Apart begins with a team up with a Wolverine lead Alpha Flight, the two teams are set up to hunt the Hulk, in fact the Exiles are actually there to insure that Alpha Flight don't get killed, but better still, we see the first appearance of an alternate "Exiles" team with another character...

Should The World Fail To Fall Apart - Peter Murphy

Advantages: cracking pop/rock slightly goth music.
Disadvantages: slightly dated 1985 sound

...Peter Murphy was the face and the voice of Goth pioneers Bauhaus. When they split in 1983 Murphy embarked on a solo career of which Should The World Fail To Fall Apart was the first of many excellent solo albums. But it's not all plain sailing - there are signs that Murphy was still finding his feet on this record. The resolutely 80's production doesn't help either and the overall impression is that this album was completed on a shoestring. Having said that it sounds good, the songs are strong and Murphy's idiosyncratic vocals are marvellous. Top tunes include the hugely commercial "Blue Heart" another smash flop single for PM, a great cover of Pere Ubu's "Final Solution" and a number of slower songs such as the atmospherically spooky "Confessions" and the lovely opener "Canvas Beauty". Some of the music sounds like something out of a hollywood movie - very dramatic and enhancing. When bats are picked off by hungry periguin falcons, the music picks up to magnificent proportions and as we enter the strange world of underground caves, it dips to a lower creepy tone. It would be all too easy to let music come in the way of the animals and spoil the experience. With Planet Earth, the mix is just right. Estella Hotel and Apartments Did NOT Disappoint!

...Estella Hotel Apartments is based in Limassol in Southern Cyprus where I stayed for 6 nights in late April/early May of 2009 with my cousin. The booking was made via Expedia.co.uk and worked out at approximately £200 for 2 of us sharing a twin apartment (just £100 each basically). Before I confirmed the booking through Expedia I went off and did a bit of research on the hotel to make sure I wasn?t getting something that was cockroach infested. All Aboard for some Sleep!

Advantages: A sturdy bed
Disadvantages: A bit fiddly to put together

...very fiddly to do. Basically the frame is made out of a lots of red tubular metal poles that fit together only they have to be twisted one way or they fall apart. I have to say I did get very annoyed with these poles as I found I could get a couple right then by the time I fiddled around with the next pole the other two poles had fallen out but eventually I did manage to get the frame together. Putting the side pieces and head and foot board were quite easy to do apart from a couple of holes were missing where the screws had to go but I did manage to screw them in place ok. The headboard, footboard and side panels are made out of MDF, they are all painted blue with the headboard having a picture of the top end of the engine.
