Advantages: comfortable, controlled, good boot overall
Disadvantages: lack of style, tore after 6 months
...I had these boots for 2 years then they became too small. I liked them so much i got another pair. Extremely comfortable, infact the most comfortable boots i've ever worn. they have a nice control and there just a nice boot. If i'd wrote this review a couple of months ago i would of given the boot top marks despite the lack of style. However when i was cleaning my boots, i fine a big rip down the side of the right boot. I was not best pleased as you can understand. Paying 65 quid for boots you except them to last. The first pair i had lasted 2 years until they were too small, but these lasted 6 months- not up to my exceptions of adidas. Overall i would recommend them as im sure the tore was just a one off but i'm still not best pleased. Im now wearing nike legends which are going along fine at the moment. For the world cup's i would give...

The World Cup Challenge - the whys and wherefores
Advantages: Ciao's first World Champion!
Disadvantages: A crushing first round exit.
...With the four-year cycle reaching completion, and the World Cup once again hoving into view (t-minus two hours as I write), the time has come for Ciao to host it's very own tournament, pitting nation against nation, author against author, in a battle to crown Ciao's first ever World Champion.
The premise is easy - the 32 nations competing in this year's World Cup have been assigned to 32 different Ciao authors (well, 26 at time of writing, with spaces left to be filled if we have any Johnny-come-lately's - and Brazil is still available!),and then split into eight groups of four. Each group has been given a topic - food, travel, music, sport, movies, fiction, my favourite things, or 'that gets my goat' - and each author must write an opinion on that category.

England 2002 World Cup
Advantages: Encouraging for the future
Disadvantages: Being knocked out at the Quarter Finals
...NOTE: I have posted this review in another place but was advised to play it in this thread. So im not trying to get extra community points, its just i dont know how to delete a review. Anyway, enjoy the review and all comments are greatly appreciated. Phil :)
Before England could become part of the Japan/South Korea world cup finals of 2002, like most other teams they had to qualify. They finished top of their group, along the way picking up a memorable 5-1 away victory over Germany.
When the groups for the competitions were drawn - England?s own group was described as the 'Group of Death'. We were drawn against Argentina, Nigeria and Sweden in Group F.
~England 1-1 Sweden~
On June 2 England began their World Cup campaign proper. They played Sweden in Saitama. England got off to a bright start and with a Sol Campbell goal...

World Cup
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: poor graphics, old game, nothing new,
...Certainly not the greatest game you will ever buy but the only good thing about it is that it involves the world cup competition. Well in the Nintendo World Cup competition 13 different countries have come together with the hopes of taking home the trophy and it is your job to achieve this.
To be honest this game can be quite boring and short because once you have finished it you wont even touch it again. First of all you pick your team to play in the world cup then you must win football matches in order to get to the next round. When i brought this game i thought that it was ok but after a while i hated it. The graphics are poor and you just do about the same thing on every move so there isnt much individuality in each player.
Lets get back to the actual game. You can select three types of games these are 1st player, 2nd player...

For World Cup 2002 Read Euro 2004 - KILL ME NOW
Advantages: You can make a lot of money
Disadvantages: You can get sick to death of hearing about it
...The focus of today's attention is that seminal sporting event The FIFA World Cup. Blokes love football - don’t we? We can talk about it for hours down the pub, in the office or just about anywhere else. Anyone who doesn’t like football needs their head examined – what’s wrong with them? They must be mad!
Wrong. Let me cast any shadow of a doubt from your mind – I f**ing hate football. Nonetheless, I am a realist, and I know that it makes a lot of people happy, so I can generally live with it. But when it comes to the bloody World Cup, then it’s a different bag of fish altogether. So, at the risk of undermining any ounce of masculinity you may have thought I had, let’s examine the case for the prosecution:
Where’s the excitement?
It is testament to the revenue generating...

Harry Potter - Qudditch World Cup
Advantages: Good relations to the story's
Disadvantages: VERY repetative
...Harry Potter - Quidditch World Cup
Where to start . . . . . . . . well I've been quite an intense Harry Potter fan since the very day of the release of JK's first book I find her stories so interesting I think I've read the books at least 5 times. I find I don't really have much time for reading anymore so I purchased the audio books, quite sad I know but I really like them. So when this game got released I couldn't help myself but to go and get it straight away. Anyway to the review.
On first look at the game itself the cover looks absolutely amazing, the graphics looks so cool. It shows Harry and Malfoy playing Quidditch. Looking at the back of the cover shows the game in more detail and it really does look truly amazing full of colour and action. After you have purchased the game and took it home you will notice that inside you...

Things My Mother Said During The World Cup Final
Advantages: Biggest Sporting Event on the planet !
Disadvantages: England were pooh again !
..."Things My Mother Said During The World Cup Final"
*** WARNING: SORRY, BUT AGAIN, AS WITH SOME OF MY REVIEWS, THIS DOES CONTAIN SOME MILD FOUL MOUTH LANGUAGE ***
In what wasn't the most classic game of football I have ever witnessed, and remember, I'm an Evertonian, so I've witnessed some diabolical games of football in more recent years, it was my Mother that helped to keep me entertained during the 2006 World Cup Final between Italy and France on Sunday evening.
I was hoping desperately that France would do it, because a very good friend of mine has an Italian Father and has supported Italy since he was a kid, to the extent he actually hates England ? the country in which he was born no less! That in itself is not all that bad, but said friend is one of the biggest wind up merchants you will ever come across and does not...

I'd Rather Watch The World Cup!
Advantages: Characters and places are described well and i detail.
Disadvantages: Obvious plot twists, unconvincing female point of view.
...the lack of graphic detail possibly is partially the censoring issue again but also the fact that the writer is a man.
Now I'm not saying all men cannot write birth scenes and cannot write from a woman's point of view, as that is clearly nonsense. Terry Pratchett and David Gemmell are both male authors I regularly read who write well rounded women (I'm talking character not curves here!) but John Dickinson seems to lack the skill of getting in touch with his feminine side.
There's not much out on the world Wide Web about him, having only written two books, this one and it's sequel "The widow and the king." He has worked with the ministry of defence, the cabinet office and NATO. He's married and has children and I imagine he wrote his book aimed at the teens because of this. I do not want you to go away believing he is a bad author...

The World Cup from a self confessed non-fan
Advantages: Quite fun to watch even for non-fans
Disadvantages: Some matches can be boring
...I have a confession to make. Take a deep breath. I am not a football fan! I can almost here your shock. But wait, I have to admit that while I am not a great football fan, I have really enjoyed the 2002 World Cup.
So this is an opinion from a different perspective - from someone whose life isn't revolved around a bag of leather...
I have never really been interested in football. My family aren't really football fans so I didn't get the headstart many of my footie-mad friends did when they were younger. In that case I haven't really got a favourite team and I don't go out of my way to watch loads of matches. However, although I was dubious, I have enjoyed this years World Cup for many reasons as I am about to explain...
1- THE UNITY OF A NATION
Never, ever before have I seen so many people worked up about England. Sure...

Rugby World Cup 2003 - Greatest moments
Advantages: Some great action for rugby fans, Extras are very good
Disadvantages: A Little rushed, Too much time spent on opening ceremony
...With the Rugby world cup 2007 fast approaching, I decided to root out this DVD, which I had bought as part of a set of four after the 2003 event. As a big Rugby union fan, I definately enjoyed this DVD, which features all the best tries, tackles, kicks and performances from the wonderful tournament. However it does feel a little rushed, and way too much time is spent watching the highlights of the opening ceremony. The rugby action is good, but the chapters can sometimes look more like montages than actual rugby footage.
This DVD does feature the entire Wales vs New Zealand quarter final, widely regarded as one of the best games in rugby world cup histroy. This is a great bonus, as the game is brilliant from the first minute to the last, a truly great game.
THE DVD
Released just after the end of the 2003 world cup, this DVD...
