This time aswell as snooker you are also able to play pool, both the 8-ball and 9-ball versions and enter trickshot competitions. ...I bought world championship snooker 07 for my partner because he really loves playing his sports games and he also loves playing snooker down at the local snooker hall so i knew he would really enjoy playing this game. You start out with low stats and a low ranking (so have to play through qualifying rounds against lowly opponents to reach the tournaments proper) but as you start to win games you earn points which can be converted to skill enhancements (such as improved potting, spin, safety etc) and your ranking improves. ...This is a game that on the face of it seems dull, slow and not very good to play. However, if you thought that, you are wrong. The game is the best snooker game that there is on offer. Obviously not everyone has a snooker mind so will not be able to find the right angles to pot or judge how hard shot need to be played and with what sort of spin. The game provides users the necessary functions which allow you to do all that. For example when potting any ball (e.g. red), you can adjust the angles and see what direction the red ball will go. Also you can see the direction of cue ball after hitting the red. The 2007 version of the game contains a new feature which improves the overall gameplay. It is the cueball target indicator. This allows you to see where the cue ball will end up, depending on bounce, power and spin, on the table...
