Advantages: It's brave and a good introduction to Erasure

...The new album by Erasure 'Union Street'(their 14th!) is a bit of an enigma, which makes me wonder if the duo have finally run out of ideas, or didn't want to waste them on us. However for the uninitiated this acoustic (yes pop-pickers you heard me correctly 'ACOUSTIC') album strips down the songs to their bare bones and lets out some of the soul as a sample of what they are capable of. Just as the band had recaptured some of the form of its 90s heyday with Erasure's return to electro pop heaven, ('Nightbird') Vince Clark and Andy Bell have gone all acoustic on us, just as the Pet Shop Boys recently did, before going back to their synths. Being a creature of habit I tend to opt for the jacket potato and a latte frappe but this is because the choice of sandwiches is dismal and certainly unappetising. The current 'acting' manager is certainly living up to her title - ACTING - because she certainly cannot organise or manage what goes on around her (but she is pleasant which is a plus). A world at war

Advantages: Great single player campaign, nice graphics, decent online experience
Disadvantages: Historically innacurate at times, animation a bit clunky, addition of vehicles

The campaign is split into battles where you play as an American in the Pacific against the Japanese and where you play as a Russian against Germany on the Eastern Front. This works really well and provides great diversity throughout the game. Each set of missions have different characteristics, which as I say, keeps it fresh. Graphically it's a stunning effort from Activision. The attention to detail is amazing sometimes. Online play is hit and miss. Activision have borrowed a lot of 'Call of Duty 4's' aspects and implemented them into their game. It's not a bad idea, as Call of Duty 4 got online play arguably nearly spot on but it lacks a bit of originality and sometimes doesn't work in the World War 2 setting.
