...'m also not sure why I decided to use Loreal Casting to do so, but I did, and I'm really glad of it. This was the first brand of dye that I used, and I was really pleased with the results. I have since tried other brands - Garnier Nutrisse and I think one by Wella - but I've always came back to this brand, as I find it's the easiest to use and gives the best and longest lasting results. ~~About the dye~~ This hair dye is a tone on tone gel colourant and contains no ammonia. It promises to give Natural looking colour and ultra-shiny highlights. This will cover first greys The box states that this will last up to 6 weeks with no visible roots, but I have found it to last something nearer to 10 weeks. ~~Packaging and contents~~ This comes in a pink box which is very similar to the one pictured, although I believe the one shown...

Advantages: Lovely hair colour, shimmery, smooth. Conditioning.
Disadvantages: Application is a little annoying, price.

...-permanent line of L'Oreal casting crème as I only ever dye my hair semi-permanently as I am too scared of something going wrong and me hating my hair forever. As my hair is so long (it would take probably 5 years to grow the colour out! Eeek!) since Ciao doesn't have a separate product for semi and permanent this is why my review is in this category. Please don't mistake it for permanent, in fact, I'm not even sure you can get excellence crème in permanent; you'll have to do some snooping! ...At nearly six pounds, this isn't the cheapest hair dye out there but it's incredibly easy to use and virtually mess-free. Also, it works. After a disasterous highlighting adventure, i used Casting Creme Gloss in Mahogany to cover up the damage. I have used this product (same colour) in the past, and it covers greys perfectly. I was impressed with the way it also covered up my unwanted highlights. They still show through a little bit, but more as tasteful lowlights as opposed to the brassy orange streaks i had before. Casting Creme Gloss is easy to use. You basically mix two bottles together and shake. The manufacturers have even made a handy slit in the box so that you can wedge your bottle of mixture in it and it will stand upright. Now, that's really thoughtful! ...I have naturally dark blonde hair but I had been getting various light blonde highlights and had a couple of brown low lights in there also. So my hair was full of varous colours of light highlights. I was getting sick of the expense and upkeep and was desperate for a change. ...home with. Obviously, as I am reviewing L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss, this was my final choice. But why? Firstly, brand recognition. I use a lot of L'Oreal hair care and make up products, and I would have to admit that it is one of my preferred brands. The pictures on the packaging were very believable, unlike other boxes which, to be honest, looked very cheap and didn't do much justice to their product. The L'Oreal packaging was shiny and glossy, and made of a thick, quality card. As I previously mentioned, what appealed was the photograph of the hair colour displayed - to me it appeared natural, and not as though it had been simply painted there with a computer. The idea of a cream caught my attention, as it lead me to belive that the application would be more even. The colour chart on the outside showed a not too dramatic...

...I've always and will always use this product. The incredibly glossy and professional finish along with the amazing smell and ease of use have ensured that I have only ever been tempted by the pull of clever marketing campaigns for new brands once. Once and only once; I retured to the fold very quickly, not finding the same value for money or most importantly results. No other colourant that I've tried can offer the same results or benefits than Castings. Once more and yet very significantly, a hairdresser friend of mine recently told me that this is 'the' only product that he recommends to his clients and even uses it on his partner. This is one gal who certainly won't go a changin'....

Casting admiring glances in my direction

Advantages: Smells luscious, doesn't make you wanna chunder, actully makes a difference on very dark hair
Disadvantages: They don't sell that miracle-working aftercare conditioner stuff in big bottles

...Being thick and naturally curly, my hair needs all the help it can get to look good and anything which enrichens the colour and deepens the shine, even on my dry mop is something worth shouting about. I don't want to sound like a cheesy American ad (no offence to any Stateside readers), and although 'I'm worth it', having troublesome hair it means that when I find something that actually works, it's pretty damn exciting. I've been dying my hair since before I was doing my GCSEs when I favoured the plummy hues and as I got older I mellowed into the more natural reds, but all the while, despite trying a number of different brands, Castings has always, always been cool, with the added advantage that its lack of ammonia means that I don't gag the minute the stuff is being applied and it doesn't irritate my head. ...on the sand that resembles a worm and, then a foot or so around this you can find a cup in the sand or mud type indentation which is the blow hole this tells us that the worm is between the cast(worm shape) and the blow hole (cup) what it does not say is how deep it is, as we all know digging in wet sand or mud is hard going and a 1-2 foot hole is about all we can manage, start digging 6inches before cast and make sure that when you get to the cast you are using the full size of the shovel (spade), and dig small slices all the way past the blow hole approx 6 inches and you will 9 times out off 10 get the worm. In a shop you will pay approx £3 per dozen, and when digging 20 worms will last all night if not too hectic. Storage again is in the refridgerator wrapped in newspaper changed dailly and pullout all the dead worms you can keep them in...
