The game, which is really pretty old for a PC game having been released back in 1996, is one of the simplest, but most enjoyable, game that tour ever likely to play. Three words "A CRAZY GAME" Make your team, name your players, choose your flag, choose how your worms speak and prepare to make virtual worms kill each other for no reason at all. I remember I used to go round to my cousins house were we would sit my two cousins and I around the computer playing multi-player. We all had our teams and it makes a little table for you to see who is best and worst overall. You design these little worms and choose how many worms you want to play with then your away. ...on an attack building. There is a wide variety of different terrains to fight in, each with it's unique theme and ground objects. You can play a multiplayer game, with up to four players or you can play the computer in the traditional way, a single player campaign! There is also an online multiplayer option, which I can't comment on because I havn't tried it! I don't see why it wouldn't work the same as the rest of the game. Overall I think the game is a very good idea on paper, but in graphics it may not seem as good. It is a very difficult task of taking the 2D Belly crawling worms and turning them 3D. The game has it's downsides, hard to get used to controls, hard to aim weapons and a not so hard to get Giant Laser, which lays waist to your enemies base in seonds. It was fairly old at the time but it cheap so I thought might as well give it ago. It looked good from the box, good pictures and good makers. It certainly had potential to be a great game. Still my favourite game on the pc

...This is a really old game I know but it is still one of the games I play most on the pc and beats most other games for me. The reason I like worms so much is the sounds and I just think that when they talk it sounds funny. It is more fun when you have more people playing and I used to play it in my lunch hour at college. We would go back to a mates house and just kill each other. In worms you can be really mean and kill a whole team in one shot. You can also take big risks and mess up. You just don't really know what is going to happen until you have took your go. It is so easy to try and be greedy and try to kill many worms in your go but then mess up halfway through and kill your worm(s). The good thing is though, that you may of killed some others too so that is ok. On each game the scenary changes and where the worms...

Worms United We Stand

Advantages: Addcitive, funny, only a fiver

...Worms games are good in general and very addictive and this one is no different. Worms United combines the original worms with some new features from reinforcements that improve the game immensely. You can now download new maps from the Internet along with the maps they give you with the game. This is one of the few older worms games that actually works on my computer, being a dos-based game, it is prone to not working, however this one works very well. It is extremely addictive and keeps you playing for ages, trying to progress levels and get weapons such as the mole bomb banana bomb and more. Team naming make this game more personal and funny when you kill your boss or David Beckham. One final thing is to go to eclipse.co.uk for some cool downloads including a red dwarf sound scheme and some good maps. Try out SPACE and WIN95....

Should I tell everyone that I've got Worms?

Advantages: Great gameplay, amazing online play and inventive weapons
Disadvantages: You cant import your own weapon designs, it's not quite Worms 1

...different levels, doing set tasks, collecting crates, or just blowing the hell out of the enemy. However again despite one or two moments its ridiculously easy, but good fun for the most part, especially when you have to traverse the landscape. The challenge mode is a lot of fun though, theres around 20 different challenges, including 10 deathmatch levels which actually are quite hard for you to completely ranging from shot gun skills, to jet pack flying. Theres the added incentive to complete them in a set time. MULTIPLAYER: Multiplayer is what Worms is all about, blowing the hell out of your friends, either on one pc, or online on wormnet. The unpredictability of human opponents makes the game a lot more exciting but be careful of bad feeling when you waste your best friend! Online is even more fun, with the added bonus...

...There's nothing like killing harmless worms on a sunday afternoon. This game is like no other, you can choose which weapon you would like to butcher your next worm with. The game looks very similar to the original Lemmings game, the difference being as you can do to these worms that you always wanted to do to those lemmings, mutilate them in anyway possible. You have a selection of tools to move around the levels with, e.g. a bungee, ninja rope and have a wide range of weapons to kill your next worm with, e.g. a mini gun, banana bomb, homing missile etc. The game begins with four teams of four worms and the object of the game is to kill off the other teams and make sure you have the last worm standing.
