Keighley Worth Valley Railway worth the visit!

Advantages: Wonderful periodic stations and rolling stock
Disadvantages: Is fairly short if you don't use the rover ticket option.

...Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is well worth the visit! In the heart of Bronte country is a small but lovely steam railway line, known as the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. Despite its size and the area it runs through it is best known as the part of the filming location for the film The Railway Children. Although it operates mostly steam trains, it does also on occasion run diesel trains often used by the locals going into Keighley! As such there is a good concession rate if you do live within a certain postcode area, so it is worth checking up on. However, we visited as tourists, using Oxenhope as our destination station (you can have a round trip using any one of the main stations). Days of Worth - The Western Mechanism

Advantages: Strong, exciting, thought provoking music
Disadvantages: Being on the same label as Lost Prohets may put some people off this band

...It's funny that a band this great can be from a place as dull as Surrey. Days of Worth burst onto the scene with this album, and it is a truly fine piece of musical excellence. What with the angst ridden lyrics, powerful guitar riffs, demon drum beats, and immensely powerful vocals - this band will have you hooked. From start to finish this album really is a masterpiece, reminding me very much so of Hell Is For Heroes at their peak, with the strong elements of bands such as Jane's Addiction and Soundgarden. ...After my satellite dish was damaged in a storm last year, I had the choice between paying to get it repaired and realigned or finding another way to receive a digital signal. Now I didn't have the cold, hard cash to get the dish repaired, so I decided to go for a freeview box. A quick look around the High Street convinced me that the Woolworths 'Worth It' set top box was the best value for money at a paltry £16.99.
