...I was struggling to think of something I could review that I could get quite passionate about, something where the words will just flow from my fingers. I gazed out of my window with severe writers block, when I realized I was looking at my review subject the whole time?my home town of Wrexham! Now obviously I am going to be slightly biased towards this place, as I have grown up here and lived here all my life apart from a three-year spell at Uni in Preston. But I will try to give you some of the bad as well as some of the good, places to avoid as well as places to see. Eagles Meadow - big improvement on Wrexham

Advantages: More choice/variety when shopping, good restaurants, good leisure, things for teenagers to do
Disadvantages: Some people don't like the Meadow, say all shops in Wrexham have moved there and it is now empty

...Eagles Meadow Eagles Meadow is a £100million shopping and leisure centre in Wrexham which started being built July 2006 and opened up this time last year, in October 2008. I like the shopping and leisure centre and I think it has made a big improvement on the shopping side of Wrexham; it has made Wrexham go up twenty six places in the UK's best shopping towns for a start. For Eagles Meadow's first, one year anniversary I thought I might write a review on it, as there aren't any on this site yet. So, here it is... The Sad Demise Of Wrexham Football Club

Advantages: Entertaining roller coaster ride
Disadvantages: Moronic idea that is the chairman

...Having lived in Wrexham all my life, I have been to the odd match down at the Racecourse Stadium from time to time. I have never been an avid Wrexham fan but have always kept in touch with the goings on as I believe it is important for people to support their local football teams. Never has that support been needed more than it is now. My main reason for writing this piece is to highlight the problems currently facing the Red Dragons as well as acting as a warning to other teams. A few years ago Pryce Griffiths who had been the chairman for many years quit and sold his share of the club to a property developer Mark Gutterman. Immediately unpopular, he wanted to move Wrexham from their spiritual home at the Racecourse where they have played for over 100 years. ...Squire York The Squire York is a pub restaurant in Wrexham that I have been to many times, and each time I have thoroughly enjoyed my eating experience. Football for girls - Watching Wrexham.

Advantages: Get to look at all the legs
Disadvantages: it can get boring

...I had never been to a proper football match until my ex boyfriend took me to a game 3 years ago. It was not a glamourous occasion either. It was a game in the lower leagues. It was not the type of ground where you would expect to see Manchester United stars playing at either. It was just a normal Saturday game between 2 division 2 teams I think. ...Time to change another early review due to its poor standard! While we are on the subject of poor standards, you could well apply the same label to my beloved football team, Wrexham AFC. A quick bit of trivia to start... Did you know there are 3 teams banned from European competition? For those that do not know, there are actually only 3 teams in the whole of europe who are not eligible to play in european competitions! I bet you did not know that! These are Cardiff, Swansea and of course, Wrexham. Reason for this? They play in a league outside of their country! Yep, thats the reason. Wrexham from a Bradford fans view

Advantages: Nice little town
Disadvantages: Ground needs a lot of work doing to it

...Having attended Wrexham onn 11 September 2004, I thought that i would leave my comments on the ground. The town itself is rather small, but the pubs in the area are not bad. The pub oppersite the ground (The Turf) allow both home and away fans in. The ground, well I know the club are currently having money troubles but they really need to make some inprovements. For a start the matchday program. According to the front cover the date was 11 August. The first 3 pages of the program were ripped out, because the chairman didn't agree with what somebody wrote, the stats in the program were from 2 years ago. And for £2 it is a joke. As for the ground. Since i last attended a couple of years ago they have replaced one of the stands. The new stand looks great, but stands out from the rest of the ground. The ground really does...

Seriously though, with Darren Ferguson settling in, strengthening midfield, and Trinidad & Tobago players, Hector Sam and Carlos Edwards adding flair to the team, Aston-Villa run-away Michael Blackwood, providing new ideas in defence, we are looking good this season. ...The Racecourse Ground has been the home of Wrexham Football Club since 1872 - although the club used other grounds at various times in it's history - and is an impressive stadium deserving of far better than League Two football. It is the largest ground in North Wales and is also used by Liverpool Football Club's reserve side and the Llanelli Scarlets rugby team. Over the years the ground has also hosted a variety of other sporting activities, including international football and rugby matches, as well as functions such as outdoor concerts. Disadvantages: Still needs some work on the food and toilets

...There are 3 Welsh football teams that have English FA League status. There are pros and cons to this I must add. Out of the 3 Welsh teams, Wrexham has the highest league position. They are currently 9th in Divison 2. If you compare the other 2 teams, Swansea have just been relegated from Division 2 and sit second from bottom and Cardiff are in Division 3 despite being promoted this season. Being in the English FA , like I said, has a good and a bad side. The good side being they get to play against a higher class and wider diversity of teams in England than they would in Wales. This is shown by the FAW (welsh FA) cup that Wrexham paly in. Here they come up against the cream of Welsh football and normally win by hefty margins. The bad side is 2 fold. Firstly, inclusion in the English league and boycotting the actual League...
