Logitech X-230
Advantages: clear sound, very low noise
Disadvantages: remote control would be nice
...An easy, plug'n'play sound system in cute-looking body with great performance. I was looking for new speakers for my laptop but then I decided I wanted more than just speakers and started searching through the lists of 2.1 and 5.1 sound systems. Originally I was about to buy a 5.1, but I realized such a set wouldn't be smart for a laptop which I wanna carry around and have it now on my desk, then on my bed, then on the floor etc, for which a 5.1 felt too much of cables and mass.
I'm happy about my decision since the Logitech X-230 has proven to live up to the expectations based on what they promise, the sound is clear, full and I find it great for both music, games or movies. The subwoofer bass is strong and full, perfectly satisfying for almost cinema movie experience. You can hear hardly any noise and the volume range is wide enough...

X-530
Advantages: Price/quality, look
Disadvantages: sensitive to interference
...,
Most people aim at good quality sound in PC's. Often good sound card is not enough and better speakers must be bought.
That means spending more money for good stuff, or less for cheaper brand. Not necessarily when considering
Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers.
First some esential tech data:
Total pow RMS : 70 Watts
Total peak pow: 140 watts
Cable lenght:
center:160cm
front: 140cm/180cm
rear: 450cm
Installation is as simple as possible and described weel in manual.
Very attractive design gives it professional look. Whole set is assembled with high quality components both
inside and outside. Unfortunately there are too many cables and subwoofer looks like attatched to big spiderweb,
however are quite thick and strong. Center, front, and subwoofer speakers cables are quite short; even for desktop
use lenght is...

X-540
Advantages: Great price, great sound quality, matrix button gives great 5.1
Disadvantages: Lots of wires!, Remote on quite a short wire
...Logitech X-540 Surround Sound.
I ordered ths off amazon for 49.99, it was sent by courier (Home Delivery Network Ltd) and arrived within 2 days of ordering. Very easy to set up and great price for full 5.1 surround sound. Took 10 mins to hook it up to my Xbox and is amazing while playing Gears of war :D...
First thing you notice is the weight contained in the small box the Speakers come in,its about 1ft square and contains 1 Bass and 5 satellite speakers, each individually packed in plastic bags. The bass unit is quite bulky and for optimal quality should be placed on the floor, but if you dont have much room, (like me) then you can put it it behind your TV or something... The base is the main part of the speaker set up, on the back are about 8 jacks for you to plug in the seperate speakers and inputs. Each is colour coded so its...

American History X
Advantages: Edward Norton; Dialogue; Tension; Story
Disadvantages: Propaganda
..."We're so hung up on this notion that we have some obligation to help the struggling black man, you know. Cut him some slack until he can overcome these historical injustices. It's crap. I mean, Christ, Lincoln freed the slaves, like, what? 130 years ago. How long does it take to get your act together?"
--Derek Vinyard
Edward Norton is one of those rare contemporary actors that you know whatever movie he's going to be in it's going to be good. American History X is by no means an exception, with Norton phenomenal in his performance as an ex-neo-Nazi attempting to prevent his brother from pursuing the path he did.
Edward Furlong (Terminator 2) plays the young skinhead Danny Vinyard, criticised by his teacher (Avery Brooks) for turning in a paper on Mein Kampf. The black teacher then instructs Danny to create a report...

iRiver H340?Much Better Than An iPod!
Advantages: 40GB storage, Supports various audio formats, Colour LCD screen, 12 hour battery life for audio, watch AVI movies, Includes lots of accessories
Disadvantages: Bit on the pricey side, Slow boot up, Only AVI supported, small screen, A bit chunky, movies not as smooth
...wrong since a failed firmware upgrade could totally mess up the device. It turned itself off at the end which had me even more worried but I read that it was normal. I checked the firmware version during startup and saw that it had been upgraded.
I copied my own AVI file compressed with the XVID codec to see if the iRiver could play it. Unfortunately, it could not because it?s an unsupported format, although AVI is actually supported. Turns out, I had to convert the media using a freeware program called Pocket-DivX Encoder first before they can be played on the H340. Encoding only takes a few minutes depending on the movie length, quality settings and the speed of your computer. It only takes about 5 minutes to convert a 25 minute 150mb (approx) AVI file on my computer. The Jukebox can?t play files bigger than a certain size so Pocket-DivX...

American History X
Advantages: Great plot, superb characters and a theme that needed to be discussed
Disadvantages: violent
...Well my next review again is another film that was made during the 90's. Gosh they really don't make films like they use to. I must admit ive only seen this film twice once in high school and once with my friends, and both times the film just gives you a sense of shock. The film im going to review is the 1998, critically acclaimed "American History X", directed by Tony Kaye and Edward Norton and Edward Furlong.
Ok two quick recaps here, Edward Furlong is the guy who was John Connor in Terminator 2, however just a wee bit more older in this film, but he still looks the same. We then have Edward Norton; you might recognise him from his earlier work in Primal Fear and The People vs. Larry Flynt
I must admit this review will talk about some cruel and in some cases sadistic scenes, and for that I apologise if it causes any offence...

The joy of X?
Advantages: Great feel-good dance pop
Disadvantages: too short
...After putting her career on hold to battle breast cancer Kylie has certainly made up for lost time as she continues her quest for world domination. There was the re-scheduled tour, a children's book 2 perfumes and another one set for next year, not to mention modelling swimwear for H&M and the Kylie exhibition (now in Glasgow) and a return to acting in Doctor Who.
After celebrating 20 years in music her 10th studio album is probably her most hotly anticipated and comes four years after "Body Language"
Most Kylie fans will already have heard the "kylie X Pre album" which was put on torrent sites months ago (and is still widely available) from apparently stolen master tapes and the biggest shock are the tracks which are missing particularly the Scissor Sisters "White Diamond" (only available as a slow ballad if you get the album...

My C340
Advantages: Excellent Features
Disadvantages: Battery life short
...I ordered my Kodak C340 off good old ebay for £72.50! I was impressed with the camera as it is quite small for a camera with its features - 5 MP, 3x Opitical Zoom etc.
It feels like a real sturdy bit of kit with the kodak mark on it and feels like a classic as soon as you try it out! The first few shots i have taken have been around my home and their quality has been excellent, sharp, colourful, and defined! But after about 20 shots my normal aa batteries died! I thought that this might be a problem so i decieded to try a set of uniross 2100amh batteries that are recharble - these have lasted me until i am writing this review - and hopefully far beyond!
The camera takes about 190 shots on a 256mb sd card but also can accept mmc cards.
Another feature is the direct link up with printers with PictBridge - i tried this on my hp psc...

X Pect the Unexpected !
Advantages: Not that Bad
Disadvantages: Not that good either.
...The Man From Planet X.
This movie starts with, some good special effects, of a planet spotted drifting through our system and it is going to come close to the Earth. The Planet named planet X, (how imaginative!) will be studied by many around the globe including Professor Elliot who sets up a small observatory in the remote moors of a Scottish island.
He along with daughter Enid and Dr Mears, a former student and love interest of the profs daughter are soon joined by the obligatory Newspaper reporter that always seemed to be in these movies.
They soon get a visit from a spaceship from planet X and the alien occupant of the spaceship. He appears at first friendly and benign but does he have ulterior motives? He breaths by means of a tank of his own X atmosphere. He has his own gold fish bowl helmet...

X-cruciating!
Advantages: There are some funny deaths
Disadvantages: But for the most part it's cringe-worthy
...Jason X is the tenth instalment (see what they did there?) of the Friday 13th franchise, which by general consensus has been getting worse and worse. Considering the original wasn?t that great to start with, you can see why it?s been over ten years since the 9th film.
However, in 2001, Jason Vorhees returned. With knobs on.
This film opens in the year 2009, and Jason Vorhees is being held in some kind of Crystal Lake laboratory, ready to be cryogenically frozen, in order to stop him from killing. However, with predictable ease, he escapes from his shackles and goes on a mini-rampage. He doesn?t quite get to hack everyone to pieces though - one plucky lady (Lexa Doig) manages to trap him in the freezer, only for Jason to somehow stab her with his machete through the thick steel doors, leading to a leak which results in the pair...
