Advantages: No subscription fee, totally free internet access
Disadvantages: Awful connection times, unreliable, slow, FRUSTRATING!

...X-Stream claim that they were the first to offer truely free internet access with their 0800 access. I learned of X-Stream about 5 months ago and at that time I was paying internet phone bills of around £100 per month. X-Stream seemed like a gift from the Gods. No phone bill!! Ok, you had to display adverts, it cut off after 2 hours (and sometimes it would take 10 minutes of trying before you could get in) but, hey, IT WAS FREE! Since then I can only imagine that it has become a victim of its own success! Before I finally gave up on X-Stream 0800 it was taking anything up to 2 hours (or more) to connect (and this was before they took the 0800 number temporarily off-line!) There is better out there now-a-days. Look at Breathe, LineOne, Freeserve........don't look at X-Stream in it's current format! I believe LibertySurf and X... Read review

...with care, as these are memory device that communicates your shape or font to the machine, and now you are ready to cut your shapes, as this machine cut 3 sizes, small, default size, and large, if you press - button, and then shape or font circle which are numbered, and the machine will bleep to let you know that it has acknowledged your selection, and then press cut, and it cuts quite quick, you can only use 10cm x 10cm cutting area, and if you select default sizes, it cuts average 2 - 3 designs, or if fonts, it cuts 4 - 5. and if you select the largest cut, then its nornally 1 cut. It has a lcd small screen, that tells you what you have selected, and it will also bleep differently if you cannot select any more, which is good for me. Advantages: It's fast

...The P&O Portsmouth Express to Cherbourg If you want a speedy trip to this part of France, this is the way to go. By sailing at a speed of 40 knots, travelling time is cut from approx. 6 hours to just 2 ½. However, be warned, you do feel every movement/swell etc. so it is not for those who easily get seasick! My outward crossing was extremely rough & I have to admit that I found it terrifying. Coming home was (slightly) smoother but roughly half of all passengers (mostly young children) were still quite ill. There are a small number of tables & chairs near the bar area, but seating is mainly set out like an aircraft cabin. Walking around is not recommended. The food on sale is quite expensive – 2x cheeseburgers, 2x ham rolls, 3x coffee, 1x coke & 1x yoghurt cost me £17. The area for vehicles is similar to a helter skelter... Read review

...A step backward from the Tungsten T, my previous palm. The T/X has not moved forward, design-wise. And cut some useful features. No charge-indicator LED. Screen less responsive. It seems like its forever resetting itself, losing a number of settings along the way. Bottom of screen permanent virtual buttons are not user-configurable! BAD! This is not a happy camper! And this: now extra $ for cradle, which is badly designed, with insufficient place for wires in the back and a useles, wasteful full-time glow. T/X has no "back" button, like on Sony palms, that was a brilliant function for navigation. Tungsten spring-loaded stylus was lightning fast to deploy, even in hardshell case. Latter case also allowed headphones. Now T/X has done away with both possibilities. Awkward to use. And apparently a slower processor than in its immediate... Read review

Cutting capacity at 0° x 0° 65 x 140mm, at 45° x 0° 38 x 140mm, at 0° x 45° 65 x 95mm, 45° x 45° 38 x 95mm. Weight 12.8kg. This is quite a heavy machine from my point of view and it is quite bulky to store but I took the view that I would get sufficient use out of it to justify buying it. As it will be mostly used for skirtings, architraves and trims I was reasonably happy with the cutting capacity. The machine comes with a lovely little instruction book packed with pictures showing how it goes together. It comes complete with a Rotary Table Lock handle to hold the machine at the angle set. It also has a Dust Extraction port and a small dustbag to collect waste. There are two Table Extension Rods and a Horizontal Clamp to hold... Read review
