Advantages: unique design, cordless, sensitive buttons, LCD display, docking station, cheap Disadvantages: None at all
...When I redecorated my flat I made sure there was plenty of silver around the main living area, with chrome edged mirrors accompanied by 2 silver and glass tables and to compliment this I decided to but the IDECT X1 cordless phone for £35 because it looks extremely cool and is packed with useful gadgets thats were bound to come in handy at some stage.
The phone sits in a little port which naturally plugs into the main socket to receive a signal and I have found that call quality is fantastic when wandering around the flat a distances up to 50 metres from the port. The battery lasts for anything up to 10 hours when not stored in the dock and the phone charges very quickly.
When in the port the phone has a speakerphone option which is crystal clear and the microphone seems to pick up sounds very well and I have no complaints...

Review of Idect Idect X1
Advantages: Four handsets. Excellent range Disadvantages: Nothing new, need to set up numbers for each handset
...Background
We were on the lookout for a new set of phones as our old ones had seen better days. For some reason, my wife decided we needed a set of 4 so that we could have them placed strategically around the house so no matter where we were, we wouldn?t be too far away from one. We came across the iDect X1i series although, the asking price of £90 was far too steep for me. My wife, not to be beaten got onto eBay and managed to pick up a brand new set for what she described as a bargain £45. Personally, I still thought this was too much for a set of phones so I was very skeptical when they turned up at the door.
In the box
The box was reassuringly unopened. I say this as a few things that I?ve bought off eBay which have been described as new have turned out to be factory seconds. In the box were four neatly packed...
Advantages: Great looks, easy to use, good value for money. Disadvantages: Only a few ringtones.
...This telephone was the first ever landline phone I bought when I moved into my own place. I bought it for two reasons. It is stylish and offers good value for money. On getting the phone home It was well packaged, easy to install and even easier to use. Although the handset only has a few ringtones to choose from, I still found one that was to my liking and instantly put my name on the standby screen, a feature that all my friends smile about when they see the phone. My parents had a corless phone once and you had to keep changing the channel depending on where you were in the house, or fiddle with an aerial, none of these problems exist on the X1, and the unit is so much smaller and lighter than models of old. The pager function has also helped me out on a couple of occasions when the handset has gone walkabouts. As my first landline...

Review of Idect Idect X1
Advantages: Great camera quality.... Disadvantages: Too many to mention here.
...bothered getting the phone after all.
Being on contract, i got the phone as a free upgrade...but it was quite an expensive phone when it was first released in the shops. I have recently ordered a new O2 phone - O2 X3. Who knows what this will be like? Who knows why i ordered another 02 phone - free upgrade again i suppose.
But i can say that i can't wait to get RID of the phone that i have now....my new upgrade should be delivered soon and i have my fingers crossed that it will be a much better phone. The 02 X1 is an awful excuse of a phone and i havent said anything bad in any reviews yet, but i feel like i have to murder the phone in this review. It has been rubbish and shutdown on me many times when i was texting important people at important times in my life - therefore losing the text and having to re-write it. A little problem i...

Review of O2 X1
Advantages: Smart Look, Good Camera, Easy to use keypad, Solour Screen Disadvantages: Freezes All the Time, Small memory for SMS storage
...The O2-X1, this was massivly anticipated as it offered a whole host of feature. Its smart look just makes it an attractive look ing buy for the everyday mobile phone customer. It was definatly going to be get alot of people excited to buy it.
The first impresion was great the look was better than it looked on the internet and on advertisments, the first time i saw it out of the box made me think that all that i had hoped for in the phone had come true. The features that were expected were all there on the phone, with more becoming clear from just using the phone in the first few minutes.
It was not until i had used the phone for a number of days that i realized the phone ahd a few problems. Once SMS messages had started to arrive i soon realized that there was a very limited amount af memory allocted to the SMS storage. Infact i...

Review of O2 X1
Advantages: Looks good, good size, light, charges quickly Disadvantages: Bad predictive text, no snooze on alarm, no silent mode
...I wish I'd read these reviews before i'd ordered this phone because I wouldn't have bothered!
I was looking for a new (free) phone on o2 and my requirements were a silver flip phone with colour screen, camera and polyphonic ringtones. The o2 X1 gives me these features, however, it misses out a lot of other features that I'd taken for granted with previous phones.
The main problems with this phone were the predictive text is very slow which usually means you end up typing half your message in nonsense. You can't go back and easily edit words either like on Nokia phones, you have to delete the entire word and type it again. The dictionary is quite limited compared to other brands and it seems to not remember words you type in in ABC mode but does remember nonesense words you type by accident which is highly annoying.
The alarm...

Review of O2 X1
Advantages: Good camera, looks good Disadvantages: Poor texting, not practical
...I have had a contract with O2 for several years now and have had several phones within this period so without professing to be an expert, I?d like to think this review is not wholly unqualified.
First Impressions
Firstly, when I ripped the bubble wrapping off and pulled out my new phone, I was impressed by the way it looked. It?s a very attractive phone, with a completely metallic look. Its external display shows a battery meter, reception, time, date and day.
Delving In?
I don?t know about you but I?m not an instruction reader. I usually do my own little investigations and figure it out for myself. What I found with the O2 X1 though is that the menu system is very confusing and irritating. It has a green phone button which you sometimes press to activate menus and confirm actions, but you also have an ok button which also...
