Advantages: cheap enough for the budget buyer with all the best features
Disadvantages: none that come to mind

...i am a massive fan of all things ASUS but i still look at there products in the same level of detail as any other brand the first thing you notice when getting your motherboard is the quality of the packaging it is placed inside a strong anti-static packaging which is then inside a rather thick cardboard box with an outer (thinner) sleeve it comes with all the relevant cables and bits you would need including but not limited to : sata data cables, ide data cables ,and a handy southbridge cooling fan(optional install) once i had powered my PC up after installing this new board i was soon appreciating the advantages of full 16x sli i was using 2x 7900gt's on a motherboard which did not allow for full throttle sli and the difference is noticeable the overall quality of the motherboard is astounding it comes...

Another top quality ASUS product

Advantages: Phenomanal performance, quality, ease of install
Disadvantages: Expensive

...When it comes to motherboards I generally stick to the top 3 manufacturers Abit ASUS or Gigabyte. So it was with this product. I had used the DFI-LAn party board for a few months, and with the range of BIOS options it became a bit of a nightmare when overclocking (Escpecially if you are a bit of a novice). So I opted for this beast with its true 16x SLI capability, and passive cooling. I've got it installed with a thermaltake Bigwater 745 water cooler on top of a 3800+ dual core chip, and dual Leadtek 7800GT's. With 2Gb of Hyper X memory, anything you throw at it is a breeze. The BIOS is one of the AI life series, so if you are an overclocking novice, it has presets from 3 to 20%+, which will take care of all the voltages and FSB multipliers. However as with all these boards if you are beyond a novice you have plenty of manual options...

Bose rocks

...Before i start this reveiw i want to state that the Bose soundock is an exceptional piece of kit. Before i bought mine i toyed with the idea of a lesser quality and obviously less expensive option but was lucky to hear a freinds unit before i spent any money,needless to say the difference in sound quality is like compareing a honda to a porshe. Personally i'm a convert but i will try to be unbiased. SIZE 6.65" H x 11.91" W x 6.48" D . 16.89 x 30.26 x 16.47 cm . You want to make DVD's? You probably want this!

Advantages: Branded, 4.7Gb capacity, limited lifetime warranty, Cd case included, printable surface
Disadvantages: DVD recorder is a requirement!!!

...Its very difficult to do a review on something as mundane as blank DVD's, but I shall elaborate my opinion. Firstly, I bought these purely because they are branded DVD's. I have had trouble in the past with cheaper generic CDs and DVDs therefore I always feel the need to buy branded and Verbatim are one of those I trust. Secondly, I bought this because they come with a case. I prefer to buy DVDs with cases because its easier to store and access than keeping them on a spindle of a cd case. It also has a printable surface which allows you to create covers for your DVD. This isnt a dual layer DVD which means that it can't hold as much as others but at holding 4.7Gb, it is wholly adequate for making videos, backing up music / files and backup your PC startup data as is the case with many computers etc. It has x16 max. write speed...

Advantages: Directx10, Able to play all games to date on maximum settings!
Disadvantages: Quite a long card and may also get quite hot.

...Be prepared to be blown away! After I had installed this beast it ate everything I put in front of it! Medieval 2: Total War, high settings and looks marvelous! Bioshock on Maximum settings and looks absolutley fantastic with directx 10. Elder scrolls: Oblvion on maximum settings also looks very breathtaking. I have also played Crysis on High settings (a very graphically demanding game) and have had no problems with it whatsoever. The card might be slightlyl onger than most are used to but I had no real problems fitting the card into the relevant PCI Express x16 slot. I eagerly await newer games so that they can take advantage of what this card has to offer! It might get slightly hot, but if you have some decent cooling within your machine then it will be fine!
