Each wipe is large and strong and has a faint apple smell but more of a clean and fresh smell which lingers a little after use, they can be used by hand or placed on the floor using a broom or mop to move around, personally I bought them so I would'nt have to use a mop so I use them by hand They are very convenient and easy to use, one wipe and the paw marks are gone leaving the floor clean , dry and shiny in a few minutes, no rinsing or polishing and I know the floor is hygienically clean due to the anti bacterial properties. I have also used them on my vinyl floor tiles ( once) ! in the kitchen with the same good results, it took 2 wipes to clean an area of 2x3m of lightly soiled tiles. Personally I think they are too expensive if used on a regular basis, so I only use them for when the puppy leaves...

The wonder of Japan in your Garden

Advantages: Beautiful elegant plants, many interesting varieties ideal for the garden or in pots
Disadvantages: Need protection from strong winds, may have to buy an acid plant feed

I have all three of these Maples but look up any good gardening book and others will surely tempt you like Acer Palmatum Sango-Kaku with its orange yellow leaves which eventually turn a softer yellow or Acer Palmatum Bloodgood similar looking to Atropurpureum with lovely blood red leaves. They will compliment many other shrubs and trees...

Terezin - you wont forget

Advantages: really interesting
Disadvantages: you wont feel like laughing after

...I have been in Terezin in March last year with 4 other friends. The day we went there, it was a bit snowing, cold, wet - a really horrible weather, so we were soon very cold. We didnt have a look at the town really and went straight into the "prison". A girl took us round. She showed us the rooms for prisoners (10+10m for 100 people with 1 not working toilet), big courtyards, houses for guards (very posh, a cinema for guards (we went in and saw a film, a very bad feeling imagening, that all the murderers sat on this benches), cells being completely dark (2x3m, where they locked 30 people and they couldnt breath, so they all died), shower rooms, "hospital" (no comment), the "one way tunnel" (they shot people on the other side, so you wouldnt come back), aso. She told us a lot about the life there, about illnesses, torturing, murdering...

Sally Greaves Lord was formerly the creative director for the Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake and has an international reputation. I am not really familiar with either of these artists, as textiles is not really my field, but the work is stunning. There is a collection of hand painted silk banners and framed painted textiles created since the artist moved to Yorkshire in 1991. There are some special pieces for the exhibition and some pieces from the artists own collection. Mainly the works are like traditional Japanese banners hanging vertically about 80cm wide x 3m tall. It is orientated so that they get good sunlight for the morning but are protected from the afternoon heat of a Summers day, well; when we get a hot day that is! The overall size 3m long x 2m wide x 3m high with a 1m x 1m double entry door attached to the side.
