...SAMSUNG X460 - AS03 The Samsung X460 is a laptop from Samsung with Microsoft Vista Business pre-installed. It's a beautifully designed black, glossy laptop with a 14" LED screen meant for the business user. I bought mine for £901.00 including delivery although the price seems to have dropped to around £910. There is also an X360 version of this laptop. That is a 13" version but it houses a solid state drive so it slightly more expensive. I think the laptop is beautifully designed. All the connectors/ports, are discretely labelled with the appropriate logos and icons. The build quality feels very solid with no clicking and cracking noises around the body. No, it's not the E330, it's a cheap alternative!

...! Browsing the range, a Samsung E330 caught my eye. I knew Samsung was well-known for quality and style, but I'd never had a Samsung phone before so I was a bit wary. It looked so sophisticated with its clamshell design and camera - with flash - but in the region of £150.00, I decided against it. Call me stingy, but I'd never pay that for a mobile phone. A few minutes later I noticed a Samsung x460 - this looked exactly the same, more or less so I decided to take a closer look. On inspection, I found that it didn't have a camera, or Bluetooth, but it had the basic features that I needed, plus it looked so sophisticated! Good for quick snaps when your camera is somewhere else or the moment is too quick to disappear while your other camera is firing up. 20X optical Zoom - better than other camcorders of the same price range. Lots of built-in filming modes for various occassions e.g. fireworks DV-in as well. Wide attachment for wide-angle filming. Linksys's Lightning fast wireless router

Advantages: Fast speeds, Reliable, Stylish
Disadvantages: I had wireless problems, Gets a bit warm, no restart router option in config

.... When I have machines connected to the wireless network, download speeds are like they were on a wired connection. On my laptop (Samsung X460), it gives me a 130Mbit wireless connection which is probably the laptops maximum wireless speed. Signal strength ranges from Good to Excellent around the house and it connects to the wireless network quite quickly (of course, problems can also be to do with the operating system). My netbook (Samsung NC10), also gives me good speeds at the wireless 54G standard (54Mbit). It's also easy to connect new machines to the network via the wireless assuming you've entered the wireless key correctly. It supports all the usual WEP, WPA, etc wireless security standards as well as MAC code control. Unfortunately, I?ve found that it is not all good as two machines in my conservatory seem to randomly lose...
