Advantages: Has a very upmarket image and robust build quality Disadvantages: Limited off road ability
...Before I say another word, let's get one thing straight - BMW's X5 is essentially a road car. More or less without exception, everything I've heard or written about the X5 praises its superb road manners and its saloon car like quality, comfort and poise. Having just spent a hard-charging week behind the wheel of this 3.0-litre turbodiesel model, I would second that. The BMW X5 for me is a perfect mix of new and old. In my opinion it successfully blends BMW's new futuristic look, with the clean muscular lines of the old X3. The X5 front-end face echoes the traditional BM "twin-kidney grill" , whilst its rear end retains that distinctive "boxyness" which made previous models so aggressive. Underneath the bonnet is BMW 3.0L straight 6 cylinder where the diesel does 235 hp and has a top torque of no less than 520 Nm. It's nicely packaged...

Review of BMW X5 3.0i
Advantages: Small, Light, Hands Free function, colour Disadvantages: Only one game
...Have just bought a second hand MY-X5, on T-Mobile. A great looking little phone in silver, with a large colour screen.
The first thing I did after getting it was to get it Unlocked. For the uninitiated this means that I am now able to use any Network, and I have since plonked in an Orange Sim card, as Orange is the best in my area.
As for the features of the phone, coloured icons lead you through the menus, which are easily accesed using the arrow keys. First is the Phonebook, which can store 90 numbers on the Sim card, and 300 on the phone. Each person can be put into a category, such as friend, colleagues, VIP etc.
Next up is Accesories, which includes a very functional and easy to use Calculator, Alarm Clock, and Currency Converter, and a Countdown Timer, great for making sure you don't burn your fairy cakes!
Then comes...
Advantages: excellent all rounder, great performance Disadvantages: expensive, fuel consumption not too great
...OK, so lets start by saying that I love this car, its our fourth X5 and I love it very much.
This car starts at #52,800, It's 8 cylinder V 4 valve technology engine has a 4398cc petrol egnine and it does 0- 60 in 7.0 seconds. The fuel consumption is 21.6mpg - not great but not that bad. The fuel tank has a capacity of 93 litres and the CO2 tax is 35% as are all X5's. it has a six speed automatic gearbox with steptronic control and sports suspension.
As with all BMW's the car will vary dramatically by how you spec it, and spec-ing the car is by far the most fun! - you can do this on line at www.bmw.co.uk. From basic the car comes with all the usual, but rather than bore you with a list of specifications, I will try and tell you of my experiences with them.
Ok, so lets tell you about the airbags - luckily enough so far I havent...

Review of BMW X5 4.4i
Advantages: Ease of use and functionality Disadvantages: Not compatible with Outlook Express
...into the bottom of the PDA, this means that if you go away you don?t have to either carry extra equipment with you or buy a separate charger.
2) Pocket PC OS - runs just like Windows so if you know one you know the other no need to learn a new system.
3) Data Entry - either by tapping a clear qwerty keyboard on the bottom of the screen (this mode will give word options that you can select) , or by character strokes like Graffiti or by a written letter recogniser. Plenty of options that are all easy to use. In the Notes program you can even write directly onto the screen in your own handwriting.
4) Status icons are clear and understandable
5) Colour and definition on the display screen is outstanding when playing something with the media player or reading books
6) Ability to record messages
Cons:
1) One thing I am...

Review of Dell Axim X5
Advantages: Good price Disadvantages: Low resolution
...This is projector is affordable but still has some positive features. The resolution of 1024 x 768 allows clear projection with much detail. However if you are interested in High definition or multimedia i would not recommend this. However for business or education this is perfect. The 2200 ANSI Lumens allows the pictures to be very bright in well lit conditions. It was very easy to set this up and epson provided all the cables in needed. This epson website is also very helpful for driver and software updates. Even though this is not a DLP projector i think this projector meets its demands nicely and is a good price. Other products to consider would be the Optoma range since they also are very good....

Review of Epson EMP X5
Advantages: Good controls, good quality Disadvantages: Low battery life, Sucks at night, pricey
...JVC introduces the 3-CCD MiniDV camcorder, a uniquely-designed compact model with 5-megapixel digital still image potential. Individual CCDs for Red, gree and blue (1.3 megapixels for each) offer truer, more vibrant colors. The Megabrid imaging engine seperately optimises image quality enhancing both video and stills.
The design of this is an imalgamation of camcorder and standard camera which results in a good camera which performs well for both areas but is not a market leader. It weighs just over 500g and has a big 10x lens on the front - the focal point of the camera. The camera has a 2.5 inch flip up LCD monitor - this is the sole viewfinder! All the controls are accesable but may take a lit bit of orienteering to begin with.
The computer menus are extremely good for a machine of such a complex nature - much better...

Review of JVC GR X5
Advantages: Colour screen, easy to use menus, poly ringtones, large storage for SMS Disadvantages: Only one game, no FM radio
...smaller.
So after browsing Orange?s website and that of the excellent mobileshop.com I plumped for the Sagem MyX5. Now in the past I think Sagem have been guilty of producing some real Lego phones, you know, tiny screens, basic features and a clunky feel in general. That?s just what I?ve heard, I have not actually experienced one, so don?t knock me please!
Other phones I was considering were the 8310, the Philips 820e, the Nokia 7210 and the Panasonic GD87 (final two here too expensive as they are brand new this month ? looking at £80-150 to upgrade)
So to the Sagem, what?s it all about, why do I like it?
Well the phone is smaller than a Nokia 3 series phone, not by a long way, but stands about 1cm shorter, and is shallower at the back. This makes it feel like a much smaller phone although it may not sound much. Think of somewhere...
Advantages: Small, light, feature packed Disadvantages: Not available on all networks
...Before I start this op, be under no illusions on my feelings about Sagem ? I?m less than impressed. Its nothing personal ? I feel the same way about Marmite.
Sagem make a wide variety of technological products ? most telecommunications based, but the two things I?ve encountered bearing the Sagem logo ? a mobile phone and some French traffic lights, both functioned with the same level of woeful inadequacy as to make me doubt the efficiency of Sagem.
A couple of years ago I bought a Sagem 920 mobile because I liked the colour. I know that is really sad but it was a really fantastic shade of iridescent green. However despite its cute look it was fiddly and difficult to use and kept breaking down so after that experience I swore nothing would ever tempt me to buy a Sagem mobile again.
Last year however, I won a Sagem myX5 in a bonus...
Advantages: Colour screen, polyphonic ring tones, good looking, small and lightweight Disadvantages: Not available on all networks, not easily unlocked and theres no Snake game!
...until I stumbled across the Sagem MY-X5 anyway!
It looked nice (in my opinion!), it had a colour screen and it was under £100. Woohoo! Finally, I?d found one! So, it was off to good old Google to do some background checks on the finer details of the phone (best ones found here à http://www.cellular.co.za/phones/sagem/2002/sagemmyx5gprs.htm)
= = = Why did I want a new mobile? = = =
Well you know those first batch of mobile phones when they first came out all those years ago? The house brick with an aerial the length of the radio aerial on your cars? Well, in comparison with today?s mobiles, the Nokia 5110 was like those! It seemed to weigh a tonne and was so large it was the only thing you could practically have in your coat pocket. It was too large to have in your trouser pockets which meant you needed to take a coat...
Advantages: comfortable, stylish Disadvantages: expensive to buy and expensive to run
...Driving the x5 is a fantastic driving experience, with good all round vision. It is comfortable and full of useful gadgets, which make the whole experience a pleasure. Before buying such a car one should always take into consideration the hidden costs, petrol, tax, extras (tow bars etc) and the possible stealth taxes form local authorities for parking. The x5 is a fantastic car but is a luxury that can cost more and more.
The one downside of the car in my opinion is the boot size for such a big car the boot size is tiny. When going on holiday (camping) it was essential to have a roof box as well.
The car maintains it's value well but it is becoming harder to sell second hand gas guzzlers.
I love the X5 but would advise anyone thinking of buying it to consider all things mentioned, yes you will enjoy the car but you may be...
