Wind me up and turn me on
Review of Uni-Com Wind up Torch by
christianfilmcritic
Advantages: No need for batteries
Disadvantages: Winding mechanism feels a little weak
...minutes .......
►►► Nice and thick and easy to grip
What is really nice about this torch is that it fits firmly in your hand despite not being the typical cylindrical shape. With the dimensions 145 x 55 x 45mm (LxWxD) it is not too big and surprising light weight. On either side of the torch are to rubber strips which act as grips and are so firmly attached to the torch that no amount of picking at them will remove them, not that you would wanted. The body of the torch is made from plastic and is pretty robust as having dropped the torch on concrete it only shows a minor scuff mark. It is also states that it is water resistant on the packaging, but I would say that it is more splash/ rain proof and would not recommend plunging the torch into water. As already mentioned the lens is made of molded plastic and is in fact...

Honda Hornet 250-The Original Hornet
Review of Honda Hornet by
mozza42
Advantages: Cheap to insure, pretty nippy, rarity value
Disadvantages: Rare! Parts hard to find, costly if you find them!
...What can I say? The 250cc Honda Hornet was the first of the Hornet range although nobody seems to know it! Many have never heard of it, or say "Sorry, 250? Never knew they made one." when you tell them as it's a Japanese domestic model, and never imported to the UK officially. It was demand for these 250 models that made Honda think there was a market in the rest of the World for these funky streetfighter bikes with their fat tyres (even on the 250 it's a 180x55/17 back tyre)and they decided to produce the 600cc version, and then the 900cc one, but they're different stories!
The thing that appealed to me most was that the insurance was so much cheaper than for the 600cc version, and the bikes are virtually identical apart from the engine. Many parts are shared by the two bikes but it's the ones that aren't shared that are hard...

Is big better
Review of JVC AV 32WFP1EKC by
Stefan2003
Advantages: 32inch quality screen, dolby sound and not bad looking
Disadvantages: It needs quite a bit of space
...in the price range.
Believe me it is a beast, weighing in at 60kg without the stand, measuring 85.5x55x56.8cm with a minimum clearance of 10cm around the whole unit. Warning here, you need to make sure your room is big enough to accommodate the TV! The model we went for was a silver colour, which is pretty neutral and it came with a similarly coloured stand with 2 glass shelves spaced sensibly enough to take 1 video, 1 DVD and a satellite receiver. There are 3 scart sockets at the rear of the TV and an additional input at the front of the TV mounted behind a panel for S-video in / video cable + L&R audio. Great for plugging in that video camera!
Installation was simple – select your language, select auto program then press OK. It found all my channels including the sky satellite from my decoder. Easy.
Back to the picture quality - The lack...
