...Wrestlemania X8 was held on March 17th 2002 in the Toronto Skydome, in front of a record setting crowd of 68,237 fans. This was the 18th Wrestlemania since it's inception in 1985, and nearly all of the fans had come to see the match that wrestling fans at the time thought they would never see. This match would be a battle of the wrestling icons, with wrestling legend Hulk Hogan taking on the biggest star of wrestling today, the Rock. This was accompanied by musical performances from metal groups Saliva and Drowning Pool, as well as several other matches.
The Wrestlemania X8 DVD is a double DVD set, with a total running time of 335 minutes. The contents of the discs are as follows:

The actual event was fantastic great matches, Rock vs. Hogan was a classic, a pure Wrestlemania moment all the matches were great. Four great live performances by rock bands Saliva and Drowning Pool. Wrestlemaina the progam was brilliant.
Watching Wrestlemania X8 on video before watching the DVD there wasn't much a hype when i watched it way back in Matrch 2002. The picture quality and sound quality was amasing. There is nothing like watching anything on DVD a great improvement. The VHS version now sounds distorted though before the sound was great, DVD justs beats it.

...gained the rights to the Nintendo games, things really started to pick up. Finnally, with the awesome power of the Gamecube, a WWE game could be made for the Nintendo to rival the popular Smackdown! series.
Anyway, enough of the history, lets get down to the nitty gritty.
WWE Wrestlemania X8 for the Nintendo, is an awesome game. It really captures all the magic and buzz around the event, and esspecially the event from which it takes its name. Playing as Hulk Hogan really gave it that edge, as its not something a WWE fan could have done for a good 10 years now.
The gameplay is superb. It is very similar to that of WWF No Mercy from the N64, which is often considered the best wrestling game of all time. The grapple based system makes it alot easier to have more fluent matches, and less of the awkward running and thumping of smackdown...
Advantages: Brilliant, exciting, escapism, great acting, fab script, exciting direction! Disadvantages: Sherry just isn't good enough for David Palmer. I AM!!!!!!
