...had the normal 360 for an year and then traded it in for the elite. i loved the black colour and the idea of the bigger hard drive. with standard white machine there was the curse of the "ring of death" which i never got with the white machine, but did get it with first elite machine and was told buy guys in game that this was sorted for the elite! well got it all sorted and second machine i have no problems with at all and its been running for year and a half. elite came with an hdmi port and i got a kinda of cheap hd television from argos, but the picture quality was amazing, and i am sure with better hd television the xbox would stand out even better. in box you get xbox elite, one black wireless controller, hdmi cable and also hd normal cable with optical cable for sound. as to date there is tons of amazing games out...

...Power is the first thing that comes to mind when i think of the xbox 360 elite, it has a huge 120GB hard disk drive and the graphics seem to run alot smoother that the original xbox 360 for some reason. I had the original xbox 360 but that died on me about 2 weeks after buying, microsoft seem to have sorted out these little issues that kept crashing the system. The elite has a HDMI port which means you can connect this straght into your HD socket on your tv, I have a 42 inch plasma and i thought the graphics was good on my old Xbox 360 through a scart lead but once i plugged this in i was blown away! The graphics are amazing, perfect detail can be seen on the games that you play. You get the HDMI cable with this system too which is just great as they are quite exspensive to buy, you also get one black wirless controller and a headset...

...I have previously owned two Xbox 360 Premium consoles in the past. I decided to purchase again with the release of Halo 3. Overall I\'m very happy with the Elite. Its main advantage over the Premium is the larger 120GB hard drive. Compared to buying a console and the larger hard drive it represents good value for money. If you want to download lots of demos and not have to worry about lack of space then the bigger drive is definitely worth it. If you just want HDMI then that should now be available on the Premium console. Another thing that I have found with the past two consoles that I have owned run rather loud. The Elite seems to be slightly less noisy but this still depends on what DVD drive you get in your system. Unfortunately it is down to luck which one you\'ll get. ...Xbox Live is good value compared to some other online subscriptions e.g. World of Warcradt or Everquest as with these you pay everymonth just for one game, whereas with xbox live you only pay once to go online with pretty much all your games. You then get tempted, however, to pay for extra online contect such as extra levels, characters, backdrops for your xbox live dashboard, arcade games etc. etc. So it's never as cheap as it seems! The service on xbox live is good and it's rare to have connection issues so gameplat online tends to be smooth. Occasionally you may shoot at someone only to find they already moved- lag is rare but does happen and can be annoying. The range of games that can be played online is excellent, and isn't just shooting and fighting! Guitar hero plays online brilliantly with options for guitar battles...

...In my opinion, the Xbox 360 elite is the complete package when it comes to entertainment. However, when you pay in the region of £200 plus for any console you expect a flawless system, this is not the case with the Xbox 360 Elite. The first noticeable difference from Microsofts first installement in the 360 series is the colour. The new polished black matte finish is definately a striking feature and this itself sets it apart from its predecessors.
