The basics
The Microsoft Xbox 360 is the successor of Xbox video game console. It is a direct competitor of other leading seventh generation console such as Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3. It comes in three versions namely Arcade, Premium and Elie; each having its own features and accessories. The development of this gadget is in cooperation with IBM, Sis and ATI.
The Good
The Xbox 360 boasts a huge library of games, with several essentials titles in every conceivable genre. The crisp HD graphics are eye-poppingly impressive - even more so than on the supposedly more powerful PS3 - while 5.1 surround sound is...

Xbox 360 elite
Advantages: Large hard drive, HD 1080p and HDMI cables
Disadvantages: Small handheld controller
...Description
The Xbox 360 Elite is the premier Xbox 360 console package coming with a massive 120GB hard drive, a HDMI port, and HDMI cable, all with a premium black finish. It also includes a black wireless controller and a black Xbox LIVE headset. Incredibably this Xbox 360 Elite has enough space for a whole library of Xbox LIVE Arcade games as well as downloadable high-definition TV shows, movies, music, and all the other content available from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
Xbox 360 Elite console:
The console is equipped with an HDMI port, HDMI cable, a black wireless controller and black Xbox LIVE headset. It also comes with three powerful core processors, 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio, anti-aliasing for smooth textures, full surround sound, and DVD playback with upscaling capabilities right outof the box.

Xbox 360 Arcade - wonderful console, let down a bit by microsoft
Advantages: good range of games; enjoyable Xbox live service; perfect starter-kit
Disadvantages: certain techno faults; difficult dealing with manufacturer
...headset into the wireless controller (and it continues to work from quite significant distances away), as this allows you to make very good use of the Xbox Live system as a communication device. Although typing messages can be somewhat time-consuming because you have to select each letter from the on-screen keyboard using the limited controller buttons, the ability to leave voice messages circumvents this problem.
I have downloaded quite a few games from Xbox Live, and I find it's very convenient to do so, if a little laborious using just the controller. I do worry slightly about the possibility that something might happen to the harddrive/the games might somehow be lost, but this is a risk with anything downloaded, and I have refrained from buying any particularly expensive games this way.
The Arcade set includes a free trial subscription...

Xbox 360 Elite
Advantages: Powerfull
Disadvantages: Erm....... None!
...Power is the first thing that comes to mind when i think of the xbox 360 elite, it has a huge 120GB hard disk drive and the graphics seem to run alot smoother that the original xbox 360 for some reason. I had the original xbox 360 but that died on me about 2 weeks after buying, microsoft seem to have sorted out these little issues that kept crashing the system. The elite has a HDMI port which means you can connect this straght into your HD socket on your tv, I have a 42 inch plasma and i thought the graphics was good on my old Xbox 360 through a scart lead but once i plugged this in i was blown away! The graphics are amazing, perfect detail can be seen on the games that you play. You get the HDMI cable with this system too which is just great as they are quite exspensive to buy, you also get one black wirless controller and a headset...

Xbox 360 Elite
Advantages: Large 120GB Hard Drive, HDMI, Excellent online service
Disadvantages: Noisy at times, runs hot
...I have previously owned two Xbox 360 Premium consoles in the past. I decided to purchase again with the release of Halo 3. Overall I\'m very happy with the Elite. Its main advantage over the Premium is the larger 120GB hard drive. Compared to buying a console and the larger hard drive it represents good value for money. If you want to download lots of demos and not have to worry about lack of space then the bigger drive is definitely worth it. If you just want HDMI then that should now be available on the Premium console.
Another thing that I have found with the past two consoles that I have owned run rather loud. The Elite seems to be slightly less noisy but this still depends on what DVD drive you get in your system. Unfortunately it is down to luck which one you\'ll get. You can identify the DVD drive manufacturer but this would be...

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite - The User's Review
Advantages: Brilliant graphics, HDMI Output, Excellent Games Library, Xbox Live
Disadvantages: Expensive Games, Xbox Live Fee, Lack of Blu-Ray, Hardware Errors
...After hearing how good Microsoft's next-gen gaming console was, I decided to invest. And what a good choice that was. I purchased an Xbox 360 Elite last year and how glad I am that I did.
Pro's:
- Powerful graphic engine
- Brilliant display at 1080p Full-HD (HDMI)
- Brilliant line-up of games
- Excellent online (Xbox Live) system
Con's:
- Games pricey at £40-50 each*
- Xbox Live Subscription at £40 per year**
- Lack of a Blu-Ray drive unlike its competitor, Sony PlayStation 3***
- Prone to crashes and hardware errors****
*New games are hard to find at prices lower than £40, which is a lot of money on top of what you pay for the console itself
**Xbox Live is a very good service offering a full friends messaging system and a wide range of services such as Game Demo's and Arcade games but considering the Nintendo Wii...

Xbox 360 Elite - It covers all angles!
Advantages: Faster, Larger Memory, More Games, Fantastic Online System, Looks Stunning
Disadvantages: Slightly noisy when watching a dvd, will asorb you into a long life of gaming.
...A step above the Xbox 360 Pro and so much better than any other console for a number of reasons.
First things first, why is it better then any other console like the PS3 and the Wii? Well the Wii is more of a novelty device, I only ever use mine if there are couple of friends around and need to play something that is not too strenous on the mind. Great for party gaming with a few beers and mates but nothing solid enough for long term gaming.
The PS3 has many arguments going for it as it does have fantastic graphics but thats about it, there are a couple of exclusive games for it but nothing on the Elite again. It has the same controllers as before and could heat your house with the amount of warmth it gives off when on.
But I digress.... The 360 Elite is the review.... and it rocks in everyway possible. The controllers are...

Xbox 360 Elite - Good Enough
Advantages: * Greater Memory Capacity * Enhanced sound and graphics capabilities * Sleek black finish
Disadvantages: * Red Ring Returns * Fan Overheats
...In my opinion, the Xbox 360 elite is the complete package when it comes to entertainment. However, when you pay in the region of £200 plus for any console you expect a flawless system, this is not the case with the Xbox 360 Elite.
The first noticeable difference from Microsofts first installement in the 360 series is the colour. The new polished black matte finish is definately a striking feature and this itself sets it apart from its predecessors.
On a more internal note the gaming system has been improved to support higher graphical and sound capabilities and the hardrive has been expanded so users can potentially store 120gb worth of photos, music, films and games.
While the games that can be bought for the 360 are normally a spectacle on their own, nothing compares to the online LIVE feature that was present on the original...

Xbox 360 Elite console is designing the future of gaming!!
Advantages: Huge selection of Exclusives unavalible of other consoles and Xbox Live
Disadvantages: The dreaded read ring of death, paying for Xbox live
...as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Assassins Creed 2 just to name a few.
No matter what people say, if you have a HD Xbox 360 vs. a HD PS3 there is hardly any difference at all, the sound and graphics are amazing on the Xbox 360 console and games are getting better every month. The Elite is perfect for memory storage as the 20gb that you get with the Premium isn't enough and the 120GB that comes wih the Elite is perfect.
Now the best feaure of the Xbox 360 has to be the online play, single player games that would usually last a few weeks can end up lasting for months upon months, The XBox live community is updated frequently and there is pretty much always something to do from downloading arcade games to playing demos of soon to be released games. Make friends and generally have fun. Plus microsoft have even now brought SKY PLAYER...

Xbox 360, the whole package
Advantages: Easy to use, easy to get online, high quality graphics, wide spread of games
Disadvantages: High cost extras which should potentially be included
...As an avid user of the Xbox 360 both in the offline and on-line format (Xbox live) i've come to see the good things and the less so. First of all the Xbox 360 is at this time the most complete gaming system on offer, in terms of quality of gameplay, games and ease of set-up. From my personal experience it is simple to plug straight into Xbox live with the online purchase of the service. However this brings me to my first of only a few negatives, as is so often the case with microsoft, the extras aren't built in and they don't come cheap; many internet users now have wireless connections and in order to run Xbox live through the wireless a special adapter must be bought costing in the region of £60 which is dissapointing when you consider the Nintendo Wii has a built in Wireless adapter. A similar problem is the battery life...
