...Basically i have recently purchased an XBOX 360 after a tought decision between the XBOX and the new Nintendo Wii. I am extremely glad i went with this console as it is superb in every aspect. Not only does it have brilliant graphics for every game designed the games themselves are so much better than anything you have ever played before. Where with some of the old consoles the in game camera follows the player restricting the gameplay view, the controller on the XBOX 360 has a joystick for movement of the character and another for movement of the camera. This is so beneficial for most games especially my favourite, Call of duty 2 as it gives you a 360 degree view of everything in game (hence XBOX 360). Not only does the xbox 360 deal with just the gaming side, but along with the console you can store a large amount of music and photos on the 360 which you can customise your different play lists. It also has a built in wi-fi so you can connect to the net and play against other gamers online, but this can only be done on certain games. There are so many accessories that can accompany the xbox 360, different controllers and all sorts of storage components. Myself as im a very kean racing driver i bought a streering wheel that was compatible to the 360 so i could really get the feeling when using the racing games. You may have thought now that sony have designed the new slim line ps2 that microsoft would have try to create their new console a little bit smaller, but no the xbox 360 still is about the same size and the same wieght, thats why... ...Xbox 360? PS3? Wii? Its hard to choose which is better in the vastly populated games industry and I can't recall a time that it was this hard. So perhaps now that I own both an Xbox 360 and a Wii I can help your choice. The Xbox 360, devolped by Microsoft to follow their successful Xbox, is, in my honest opinion, the best console to own for the time. The Xbox 360 was the first to be released and the second cheapest to own making it very attractive. Now that it has been out for quite some time all the bugs that once made it have bad points have been sorted out and worked so you are more then likely to have a console that will last you time and time again. ...Very good looking games console. This console plays xbox 360 games, some xbox games and dvds. Because this Games console has a hard Drive, you have an onscreen account with all your information on about previously played and completed games. You can also add pictures of your family so you have a family photo album The graphics of the games are brilliant. One would think also that the graphics in games to come would be even better. The games are quite expensive at £50 each so not for your average kid. Appeals more at the older teen generation. The game plays of the games I have are good, and like i said the graphics are brilliant. One dissapointing factor is the noise of the hard drive and fan cooling system in the console when you are playing. Its very Noisy. But to over come this just turn up the volume. The consoles come... ...The X-Box 360 is probably the most attractive and entertaining 3rd Generation Console out in stores at the moment. The graphics and sound capabilities are exceptional and the amount of games available is immense. Most of the games for the 360 have online features and games such as Call of Duty 3 and Gears of War have been so successful online, that there have actually been national contests set up for people to play. Although there are a number of features that are needed to make the 360 perfected, such as Wireless Adapters and Headsets, the 360 is definately value for money and the number of 360's sold compared to its rival, the Playstation 3 is exceptional. ...game play my Xbox 360 froze, I assumed that it had just crashed and proceeded to reset the console, sfter turning it back on I got three flashing red lights instead of the green power lights, this is mentioned in the Xbox 360 manual as a General Hardware Failure, the console needed to be returned to Microsoft at a cost of £120.00 to be repaired. To cut a long story short, after a long investigation on my part, it turns out that Microsoft have basically cut corners in the manufacturing of the console and used a second rate conductor between the Processors and the heat sinks, over time this conductor wears out and the Processors overheat. For people with Computer Construction knowledge, this issue can be easily remedied by replacing this material with some Arctic Silver or something of similar spec at a cost of approx £7... ...If you are looking for a more mature console for gaming then look no further than the Xbox360 - this little puppy has the wow factor and all in High Definition - straight out the box. So why did I say mature? Well truthfully, the Xbox360 has been aimed at the mature games player - there aren't that many games out for younger viewers - the vast majority are 12+ all the way up to 18. In terms of games, the Xbox360 benefits from some superb titles (and some mediocre ones too - but then again every console does) and a massive back catalgoue when you take into account the original Xbox collection.
