...Ok, here's a quick run down of my thoughts on the 360, probably throw in a few comparisons with the PS3, won't bother too much with the Wii since it's not really what I would class as a serious games machine, good fun in short spells or with "non-gamers" but that's about it. Had the 360 for a couple of years now, I was seduced by Halo 3 having been addicted to the first 2 games on the original, I'm a little bit of a FPS nut so I'm well covered with the 360 as that seems to be the systems main genre as it was with the original. It's probably been the most fun system I've owned since the dreamcast (class machine, sorely missed) or the mega drive (Genisis for anyone on the wrong side of the Atlantic). ...Being a playstation boy I've never bothered with the Xbox, however through boredom and impulse I found myself buying an Xbox 360 one day. To coin a Carlsberg phrase, the 360 is probably the best console around. The graphics are second to none and until sony can get to grip with what they really want out of the PS3 the 360 will remain streets ahead. It is available from around £180 upwards depending on system and game bundles you purchase with it with again leaves it extremely better priced than the PS3. The controller whilst more bulky than sony controllers fits nicely in the hand and the rechargeable battery pack is a must get addition. ...The microsoft xbox 360 is in my opinion the best games console out there, ultimately enhanced by the superb online gameplay capabilities and magnificient graphics which it has. It is incredibly easy to use (even my dad can use it) and it is easy to transfer date from a computer to it also. There is a huge variety of games that can be played on it and the games that can only be played on the xbox 360 (gears of war, halo 3) are better than the games that can only be played on Sony Playstation 3 (Little Big Planet). Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360) Not so shockingly amazing.

Advantages: Great new firefight mode, enjoyable story-line to the single-player mode.
Disadvantages: The single-player is criminally short.

...To start off, if you liked Halo 3 or any other game in the franchise then you will love Halo 3: ODST. It would be cheap to say that its more of the same, and whilst the enemies, the guns, the vehicles, and the sounds are the same, its what you would expect from a game staying loyal to its roots. Simply because what it has already from previous games is amazing, and most importantly, fun. What makes this game really shine is the new multiplayer mode, Firefight, where you and up to three of your friends work as a team in order to fend of waves of Covenant forces (these are the series main enemy to the Human forces, in case you didn't know). ...First hearing about the new xbox 360 coming out, i was utterly stunned at how microsoft could improve and produce a new xbox, better than the previous model they put on our shelves. The new slick curvey design that micro soft had intergrated into the new 360 makes the hole machine alot more cooler and represents itself in a hole new way of attracting attention from customers willing to pay the prices that the xbox was being sold at.
