...The xbox 360 wireless adapter is essentially, exactly what it says on the tine, it is only required as a neccesity to get onto xbox live in a place usin a wireless network, microsfot have seized on this opportunity to charge over the odds for a small piece of plastic , retailing in the region of £60 , especially when you consider the nintendo Wii has a wireless adapter built in. As a product, the adapter is easy to install, clipping onto the back of the console, reliable and discreet, offering flawless online gameplay as if it were connected via ethernet cable. The only downside to this is the price and i for one feel it should be included in the console package to fully compete with other consoles...

...Xbox live is undoubtedly one of the main draws of the Xbox 360, and due to the fatc my Xbox was too far from a wired internet connection, i had to find a wireless way. The official wireless adapter seemed the best choice, widely availble, and being official, pretty much guaranteed to work. And thats true, it worked, very easily, simply plugging into the back, then scanning for connections on my xbox, then at the push of a button I was connected. It is a very good piece of kit, however it is rather expensive, as its counterparts for laptops and PCs would be available much cheaper. I have had some issues with the internet choosing not to connect, but these are rare, and on occasions the connection can be rather slow. I would stioll recommend this nonetheles, as it is a reliable piece of equipment that allows Xbox 360 users...

The Xbox 360 wireless controller in full

Advantages: freedom to move around without the worry of knocking things over or pulling the Xbox on the floor
Disadvantages: turnes off when out of range but comes on agian at the toch of a button

...I first got an Xbox 3 years ago and first started with wired controllers, although the controllers where good, i always managed to knock things off my coffee table with the wire, and i would always go to walk away and end up pulling the Xbox on the floor, and being a pet owner had to constatly lift up the wire so that my dog did not walk into the wire, then one day my dog went to jump over the wire and pulled the Xbox on the floor damaging it beond repair, so when i went to get my new Xbox i saw wireless pads and thought it woz in my intrests to buy two, since then my Xbox has stayed in the same place, all my things stayed on the table and my dog walk's around freely, If i need to answer the door or go to the kitchen my controller simpley comes with me and just turnes off wen out of range, coming on again at the touch of a button it has...

...i got one of these because i didn't want wires everywhere in our house. when i first put it in it wouldn'tt connect up to my wireless router(linksys). i called up a help line and they said that they had no idea how to fix it so i ended up having to buy a new one (netgear). with this it works well most of them time but if it doesn't always work. i think that may be down to the router but it may be the adapter. anyway it works most the time pretty well. i think it is ridiculously over priced thought. When i got it it was £60. but i needed it because i didn't want a load of wires around the house. i thnk they are fairly good and work most of the time but are over priced....

...If you enjoy playing online on your xbox 360 and your router is not easily accessible with wires then you should seriously consder getting yourself a wireless adapter. The Adapter cost around £50-£60 which I think is ridiculously over priced for what is simply a wireless adapter which generally cost aroud £10, but seeing as it is the only option for wireless gaming on the Xbox 360 then if you really want wireless it is your only option. The adapter was very easy to set up. You simply click it into place at the back of the Xbox 360 and plug the usb plug into the port, and adjust the aerial to face upwards for maximum range. ...as far as consoles go, this is my favourite controler i have ever used. the weight of the controller is just right, its not too lite, like the PS3 controls. some people are put of by the possitioning of the thumb sticks, but as soon as you pick the controller up your fingers just fall into place. there are a few problems, if you dont own a play and charge kit youll probably spend a small fortune on batteries. it eats them up liek theres no tomorrow. the also break relatively easily, the most common problem is the thumb sticks, which after youve dropped your controle a few times youll find they do what they want, i.e. playing a shooting game, even if you dont have the control in your hand, the crosshairs will slowly move across the screen. either that or it wont allow you to click the thumbstick in. the best thing is...

...Gone are the days of nasty sharp cornered PC game pads. This pad from Microsoft is superb in every way and it's great to see that many games now (on a decent PC) can really mirror the XBOX 360 in terms of experience. You don't need to be tucked away in a PC room getting RSI from a keyboard and mouse. You can play console games on your media centre PC in the lounge and it feels like a console. All buttons are identical to the 360 controller so the build and performance is perfect. I cannot fault this controller at all, there really is no other choice. I haven't tested the wireless version but I can just tuck it to the side and as gaming on the PC is not all does the wired version is a very good price for occasional use. Oh and as a final note, what on earth is the large X button for on the PC? It opens HOME on the XBOX but does nothing...
