The Fifa v PES battle continues (FIFA 09 Xbox)

Advantages: Very realistic. Great online play
Disadvantages: Referees too strict, getting kicked from 10 v 10 online games.

...Fifa 09 - Xbox 360 As always for the past few years i have always bought the fifa game but the difference this year is that i have purchased the game for the X-box 360 console. The graphics for this game are brilliant, very realistic from the blades of grass down to the looks of the players, everything seems to be in fine detail, the menu is easy to read and looks good too, the number of different features from this game is good too, with the Adidas Live Season which is a new feature where you can update the players to how they are in real life each week, i found this to be good but you do have to have X-box live for this to be any good which is the downside to it. Another feature which i really enjoy is the Be a Pro season, which is where i created myself and put him in the team and i can control the player himself and no-one else...

...Ok, here's a quick run down of my thoughts on the 360, probably throw in a few comparisons with the PS3, won't bother too much with the Wii since it's not really what I would class as a serious games machine, good fun in short spells or with "non-gamers" but that's about it. Had the 360 for a couple of years now, I was seduced by Halo 3 having been addicted to the first 2 games on the original, I'm a little bit of a FPS nut so I'm well covered with the 360 as that seems to be the systems main genre as it was with the original. It's probably been the most fun system I've owned since the dreamcast (class machine, sorely missed) or the mega drive (Genisis for anyone on the wrong side of the Atlantic). ...Being a playstation boy I've never bothered with the Xbox, however through boredom and impulse I found myself buying an Xbox 360 one day. To coin a Carlsberg phrase, the 360 is probably the best console around. The graphics are second to none and until sony can get to grip with what they really want out of the PS3 the 360 will remain streets ahead. It is available from around £180 upwards depending on system and game bundles you purchase with it with again leaves it extremely better priced than the PS3. The controller whilst more bulky than sony controllers fits nicely in the hand and the rechargeable battery pack is a must get addition. I would say however that although there is a great variety of games available for the Xbox 360 it is undoubtedly at its greatest when playing shoot 'em up's, games such as Halo 3 and Gears...

...The microsoft xbox 360 is in my opinion the best games console out there, ultimately enhanced by the superb online gameplay capabilities and magnificient graphics which it has. It is incredibly easy to use (even my dad can use it) and it is easy to transfer date from a computer to it also. There is a huge variety of games that can be played on it and the games that can only be played on the xbox 360 (gears of war, halo 3) are better than the games that can only be played on Sony Playstation 3 (Little Big Planet). Even though the online gameplay costs, (£5 a month if paying monthly) it makes up for it with seriously awesome gameplay compared to PS3 live which is free however not as good. The new slick curvey design that micro soft had intergrated into the new 360 makes the hole machine alot more cooler and represents itself in a hole new way of attracting attention from customers willing to pay the prices that the xbox was being sold at. The xbox 360 itself has got great visual aspects and the graphics i think are superb...a great improvement from the 1st xbox. Within the first couple of hours of playing FIFA 09 I'll admit I couldn't see much difference between the game and the previous year's installment. It wasn't until I started moving up through the difficulty levels that i really began to appreciate the improvements to the game.
