...Before going on vacation I wanted to pick up some extra XD cards for my Fuji A200 digital camera. In comparing the prices, the Sandisk XD 128 card was priced 33% less than the Fuji XD 128 card. I was impressed by the protective plastic storage case provided with my card purchase. The case fit easily inside my small camera case and could be labeled with picture information for indexing or archiving if I so desired. During my vacation I took photos using both cards, the Sandisk XD 128 and the Fuji XD16 that came with my camera. The storage capacity of the Sandisk XD 128 was approximately 400 pictures set on the "FINE" setting. I saw no difference in picture quality or color when I downloaded my pictures upon my return home and noticed no difference in camera performance during use of the Sandisk XD 128 while on vacation. ...the new product from aiwa brings a totaly new prospective on how to percive dvd technology. the sound is superb an so is the the video. the fact is that this new dvd player is one of the best of its kind. if your are able to configurate the aiwa xd-dw1-prtable dvd player with other high quality products it should give you all of the benefits that dvd can offer. the only trouble you ight get with this product is that there are too many wires and the instalation is not easy as it might seem on the first look. overall it is a fine piece of technology that everyone should be able to afford. jaka... ...The Olympus XD picture card is good in many ways, yet it is in the end just another memory card. It has high read and write speeds, and supports the panoramic function in Olympus cameras (not that I regularly use that function)! The capacity of the card could cause problems when used in a camera that takes high resolution photos, although I have never really found this too much of an issue. If I was going on holiday for any great period of time I would buy a memory card of a higher capacity (XD cards are made in up to 1GB). Another downside is that as XD cards are newer than many other card types, they are quite expensive - although their price is dropping quite quickly, and good deals can be found on the internet. ...Fujifilms version of digital picture storage cards is the XD card. I bought a 64mb XD card to go alongside my A210 Fujifilm digital camera, it cost around 14 pounds when I bought it last July. I was shocked by how small it actually was, its only a couple of milimetres thick, and is around 2 x 3 cm in area. The card itself is simple to use, you simply open the hatch on your camera, and insert it in the indicated slot. Its as simple as that. The card can hold different numbers of photographs depending on the set level of quality, specifically the number of megapixels. At 3 Megapixels it can hold around 25 photos, at 2 Megapixels around 50, and so on. In certain models of Fujifilm digital cameras, you can also create short videos, then store them on the XD card. ...Being quite new to the high-tech world of the digital camera, I have to say I am very pleased with the results i get from using the olympus xd 128mb picture card in my camera.With the large memory of 997 images at 0.3m, it allows me to take many pictures and allows me to learn by my all too frequent mistakes. I find that this size of image is ideal for sharing my happy memories with friends and family by email.My family and I also find the 128mb card ideal for taking short movies, we get a lot of pleasure reliving birthday partys,BBQs,holidays,Christmas,etc. It is a wonderful way to keep up to date with friends and family who live abroad. ...The Fujifilm XD Picture Card (128mb) is a very small (aprox 1.5cm) Memory card used in most Fujifilm cameras. It was developed jointly between Fujifilm and Olympus to create the worlds smallest and very fast memory card, which Fuji dropped into their camera's to promote them. The XD picture cards have had an update in recent months where they got even faster, and can be distinguished from the older models by their blue writing (there are 2 versions of XD card, normal and fast) the older card is black with gold writing. The card i bought (128mb) holds enough for small cameras (1-3mpx) but anything over that its a struggle to squeeze all your images onto it, i get on average 30-50 images before i have to dump my memory onto a hard drive (at 6mpx). ...This excellent little camera slips easily into your pocket or handbag. It looks good and feels good. The controls are easy to use and the menus reasonably simple to follow. This camera uses the xD picture card which are available from 16mb to 512mb. Only the Olympus xD picture card is capable of taking panoramic photographs. The Fuji xD picture card is also available but this will not take the panoramic photographs. The camera has a 3X optical zoom which delivers pin sharp photographs both on wide angle and telephoto. When using the digital zoom I found that the photographs became very ‘blocky’. The camera is capable of taking photographs as follows 640 x 480, 1024 x 768 and 2048 x1536. On the 1024 x 768 setting, with a 64mb xD picture card you get about 300 photographs which can be printed out very satisfactorily at 6” x 4” without any... Read review
